This is going to sound really strange. a few years ago I saw a game that had a bunch of charters from different systems. Mario, sonic,street fighter etc. I cant remember what type of game it was fighting etc. Does anyone know what this might be and what system or systems it was made for? My son is looking for it. Thanks

Mugen possibly? Do a google search for it, I'd bet thats what you're thinking of.

No this was not it It was not a pc game.

Nothing exists as a legitimate release that includes all those characters. MUGEN is the best recommendation, but is a PC only hack title that lets you include any character you choose to include.
He is more than likely thinking of Super Smash Bros for the Gamecube and was mistaken on some of the characters that are included.

He is more than likely thinking of Super Smash Bros for the Gamecube and was mistaken on some of the characters that are included.
Either that or a hack for some other system on a pirate cart. I have seen a Street Fighter NES hack with Mario in it and I have seen various other NES hacks that include Sonic sprites. I agree that you are probably right though, Super Smash bros. is probably what he is thinking of.
