Great great deal, complete freak accident while thrifting, I wish more of my hunts were this successful.
NES Super Controller- 1.99
Controller attachment which snaps on to let you play with a joystick instead of a d-pad, interesting. Looks cheap as hell, I'm surprised that it's lasted as long as it has!
Breath of Fire (snes) 19.99
I know, I know, the price hurts but it was the nicest looking BOF I've seen.
Super Mario All Stars (snes) 9.99
a solid cart, awesome nes mario action right at my greasy little snes finger-tips
The month is young so I'll be back hopefully with some more finds.

Make me jealous
Sure thing!
Went out to the local flea market as usual when I have Tuesday off or don't work until the evening (as today). One of the random junk dealers had far less crap than he usually does, but it's always just total garbage anyway. Years ago he'd occasionally have something decent, but not lately. Off in the corner of his lot I came across something one doesn't see all that often...
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-05-01(01).jpg
What's that, you ask? It's a Multi-Game Hunter, a backup device. Now what's different about this backup device in the crowds of Super Wildcard's and SF Game Doctors is that it works with both the Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis. :) It came with the passthrough boards for the SNES and Genesis as well as the Genesis cartridge deal which I believe allows Sega Master System ROMs to be played if I remember correctly - it's been a long time since I've dabbled in backup devices. It also came in the original box with styrofoam insert but sadly both have some heavy dirt and moisture saturation and had to be tossed. No power adapter but it works with a Genesis 1 / SMS adapter no problem.
I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't like if your Genesis is connected to a SegaCD. As my "Genesis" is a JVC X'Eye I didn't bother trying it out for Genesis games. I have a Genesis 1 out in the shop that I'll be modding soon so after that's taken care of I'll check out the Genesis backup stuff. I did, however, set it up with my SNESII. Grabbed a game at random - Lagoon. (I know I know, I actually like it, no matter how frustrating it may be) Popped it in the SNES slot, plugged the SMS power supply into the back - light came on red showing it's getting power. Flipped the SNES power switch, light turns green, and the MGH sprang to life. Put a blank floppy in the drive, selected format, and amazingly the disk began to be formatted. I say amazingly because this stuff never works when I find it, that and I dropped the whole thing as I was leaving the flea market. :|
Format done, time to copy. I copied the cartridge to floppy disk which was insanely simple, the well laid out onscreen menus make it a breeze. After the copying was complete I shut the system off and replaced Lagoon with another game - a game is always required for these to run, I believe it uses the standard chips inside to get around lockouts and to shift the MGH into the proper display frequency. When the menu came up I loaded the Lagoon backup from the floppy and was greeted with the Kemco logo a few seconds later. Out of curiosity I copied the Lagoon backup onto my computer and tried to load it with ZSnes - no problem at all. Don't tell me this thing supports bi-directional native formats. :D I don't have much time to mess around with it right now but I may sit down on Friday (when I'll have some time) and explore its features further.
I need to find a spare Genesis 1 / SMS power adapter as the one I used to test the Multi-Game Hunter was out of my boxed complete SMS, which is packed away once again. Oh, and what really kicks ass, the whole thing was $5. I probably could have gotten him down to $2 or so but I was just glad it was still there as I stupidly passed it up the first time until my lapse of judgement was overcome. Dunno what the hell I was thinking. LOL
Also a couple other finds. Seller here was making different prices based upon game title, although they were all in a mash. Ended up saying $8 for two, which is kinda high but one of the games I'd been looking for. I got him to take $10 for three, which is a great deal. I love talking people out of stuff like this. LOL
NES - The Blue Marlin
NES - Metroid
NES - Super Mario Bros. 2
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-05-01(02).jpg
Been looking for a copy of The Blue Marlin for awhile and amazingly I had yet to have a copy of Metroid. As for Super Mario Bros. 2 I'd been trying to get a copy for my girlfriend for almost a year now. When I do come across them the sellers usually want $10 - $15 for beat up carts. Now, since it's for her, I wouldn't have been opposed to $10, but every time I come across one it has something suspicious wrong with it. Don't need to worry about that any more though. :)
Also picked up a Genesis 2 power adapter for $1, pulled away from a beat to hell Sega Pico that I left in a junk pile. In addition I grabbed a GameBoy Advance SP power adapter / charger for $1. Never hurts to have parts.
Alright guys, now time to make me jealous.

Yes, it's complete. The only thing it's got for it is an interview with Nimoy... and that's it. It's basically a comic book slideshow of the first issue of Primortals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primortals).

No, I'm currently exiled to the central valley but will be returing to Silicon Valley this summer - was at a flea market here. I'm not sure about using ROM dumps from the 'net directly. I know that uCON should be able to bridge any incompatibilities as it was designed around the MGH architecture.
While at work yesterday, I found a SNES model 2 system. I was taking some trash to the dumpster behind the store and spotted it lying in some high grass. There was also an AV cable and two controllers, but alas no power adapter. It’s a bit dirty, but nothing that shouldn’t clean right up. As soon as get some free time this weekend I’ll scrub that bad boy up and test it out! I felt giddy the whole rest of the day.

Went thrift shopping this past week, sadly no games but I did come across a Ultimate Unauthorized Nintendo Game Strategies book from 1989 for $2, a nifty artifact. :) I especially enjoy reading the article about the license battle between Nintendo and Tengen in the book as they were in court at the time.

Let's call this a nice "find" but there was no "purchase":
At an indoor ghetto flea market I found a guy who had a nice SNES with about 20 boxed games including StarFox, F-ZERO, Mario All-Stars and some other somewhat common but decent fighting games and so forth. I asked how much for the bundle and he said he wants $275.00(!!).
I asked if he can sell any of the games seperate and he said "no" all while watching his little TV and without even looking in my direction.
I'll also add that he looked like a total piece of sh*t.

Holy crap you guys are insanely lucky. My area has been overtaken by greedy dealers (at the flea market) and pawn shops that hold all old games for the greedy dealers and won't sell them to others.
I did however find a Jaguar and T16 last week at the fleamarket at some dirty guy's booth. The T16 was missing both its power and rf unit and the Jaguar was missing its RF. The T16 came with Keith Courage too. I paid $20 for both and thought that was a good deal. I've confirmed that the T16 works but the Jaguar might need some work.

All stars became a pack-in later on in the SNES's life. Then another pack in, "Super Mario All Stars+ Super Mario World" replaced that. The pack in with mario world in the same cart is difficult to find.
As far as that sticker, I believe you could mail-off for a copy of All stars.

Nothing too special. Kind of disappointing considering how many garage sales I went to (huge neighborhood sale). The biggest suckness was the Battle for Naboo cart... it was in fine shape, but the woman just tore the price tag right off (shouldn't have been on the label in the first place) and mangled the hell out of it. arrgh.
all for ~$15 over several sales.

I finally struck gold at a pawn shop.
Yesterday my husband and I found a NES Action set in box. The guy wanted $150 for it but we talked him into taking $140 plus every NES game he had in the store. We ended up getting 25 games plus the system for that price.
The system looks brand new. It's missing the plastic but the actual components are beautiful!

Well $140 for a in box system and 25 games is still a little high n my opinion but if you happy or any of the games are rare thats ok I guess.
Yeah but I've seen nonworking ROBs going for $30 around here and while none of the games are rare, they are perfect for trading at flea markets. Around here I've seen a super scope in box where the guy wanted $85 for it etc. People in this area tend to jack up prices quite a bit. My hatred for ebay also means that I miss out on some good deals. NES systems themselves go for ~$50 here.
Overall I'm happy with it. My husband is happier than I am though, he's wanted a working ROB forever.

I don't think you got the Action Set... I think you got the Deluxe Set. Now, a good boxed Action Set + the games would have been a fair to good deal, around here as it sounds like it is around you. But a Deluxe Set!?!?!!? I'd say that really is a find to be proud of!
Um... I found a clear/blue Dual Shock controller for $2 today... sigh.

Yeah, I realized that after I thought about it for a minute. What's worse is that the box is sitting right in front of me with the giant 2 inch lettering that says "Deluxe Set" Don't mind me, I'm a moron.

I found kind of a neat PC box set with Sonic PC games.... I knew the "Sonic 3 and Knuckles Collection" had a MIDI soundtrack, with a few tracks even completely redone! It's not good or anything but I like interesting variants.
I also had a piece of trivia rattling around in my head that Sonic CD PC version had the Japanese soundtrack. Not so lucky :) I got the trivia backwards, it was actually the US Spencer Neilson soundtrack in Europe and Japan..... :( I should've known better, but oh well. :)
What's interesting is that the Sonic 3 and Knuckles disc comes with a Sonic screensaver....... WHICH PLAYS LO-FI WAVS OF THE ENTIRE JAPANESE SONIC CD SOUNDTRACK.... ugh... if you had the rights to do that, why not put it as an option on Sonic CD or release a second version or something.......... sigh :)
Also came with Sonic R.... Paid 2 bucks.
EDIT: I'm still looking for a legit copy of the Japanese Sonic CD... .I don't know if I should track down the Mega CD version or Sonic Gems Collection PS2 or GCN....
I found a pair of infrared wireless Sega Genesis controllers (Model MK-1648) at the thrift store buried in a pile of junk. They are in excellent shape. I paid three dollars for the set. They work great. I was excited. I needed them.

I was planning on doing some yard sales today, but a rainy Cinco de Mayo put those plans to rest right away.
My local Goodwill has been pretty dry the past few months, so needless to say I was stoked to find a nice pile of good condition NES games, with sleeves and manuals no less, for three bux each.
- Ninja Gaiden
- Freedom Force
- Rambo
- Super Mario 2
Also stopped at Gamestop and picked up a couple of GB titles for a couple bux each.
- Wave Race
- Pipe Dream
Not too shabby.

I'm pretty stoked after this morning's neighborhood garage sale I went to. First sale we went to, bam! Power Glove w/ manual for $4. Third sale, several p&p RPGs for free. Fourth, Zelda collector's edition for $1. Then a few later all the GameBoy stuff (plus purple basket!) for $2. The Gameboy games are Perfect Dark, Pokemon Red and Blue, Donkey Kong Land 2, Tiny Toon's Bab's Big Break, Animaniacs, Rugrats, WWF War Zone, and Tamagotchi. The red gameboy is missing the screen cover, but it works (turned on while we were walking around).

Well, I found this a while back, but since I just joined I must share; a Wal-Mart near where I live had a sealed copy of Operation C for the GameBoy so I bought that for about 10 bucks (might not be worth much, but I love Contra so I kept it sealed). Also, one of my friends who doesn't have an NES found Castlevania and gave it to me. Apparantly it was his brothers but their NES broke so he had no use for it, I didn't mind taking it off his hands ^_^.

$4 for those.

And the best find for me:
An almost new (but dusty as hell) USB Gravis Gamepad Pro. I hate the DPad, but the thing only needed a good cleaning. My old pad's DPad broke, and I didn't want to buy a new computer pad, so I got this one for $3. :)
Edit:
Wow, this Animaniacs CD sure brings back memories...
