October 24 official release date, This game is a mix of Prince of Persia/Ninja Gaiden/God of War all wrapped up in the barbarian era and twice the blood , twice the nudity, and twice the action of these titles! The demo was great and im very excited to get my hands on this game @_@! Hope some of this info sparks an interest if not already...

The demo was fun, but nothing spectacular. It's just another God of War/Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry/Heavenly Sword clone. Instead of a Spartan/Ninja/Demon Hunter/Warrior, this one sets itself apart by featuring a totally hair-free barbarian...because we all know that ancient warriors shaved their entire bodies (but I digress).
Anyway, IMO this is by no means a $60 game. It seems like a decent rental or budget price buy. Especially if you consider what A-list games are already out or coming out soon.

I would prefer it to be a cheaper price too, but none will be any lower than the normal price tag of $60. There are other titles coming out soon, mass effect/assassins creed,cod4, which i will all get but there all in different categories as genres..Im just a Conan fan from the movies and excited to play a game "sorta based on it" no arnold, oh well...:cheers:

I am a Conan fan myself. I thought the demo was OK and will probably rent the game after Christmas when things slow down. I did not feel the character in the game matched the Conan I have imagined from the movies and the dozen or so books I have read. Still it captured much of the aesthetic of the Hyborean universe.

I was looking forward to this game so much but the demo was kinda dissapointing. It's not bad, but there's nothing special about it.
I did like the script because the dialog felt like it was taken directly from the stories. I'm not sure I like Conan's voice though.

I found the controls to be rather clunky compared to the fluid movement I am used to from the God of War Games.
As much as I like Conan I was hoping for more out of the game. From the reviews it seems to just be a run of the mill action game. I will still pick it up at some point though when the price drops.

TODAY after work i will be picking this title up! If ya like a game get it, i myself try not to nit-pick every game...if i was for example,The Orange Box is 5 games ,HL Episode One i wouldnt even say is a full game, 3 hours?... Dont know if its suppost to be that short or if Episode Two will be the same or longer but....? Overall if something sparks my interest i get it, even after playing a quick demo...sorry for ranting
I played the Conan Demo and thought it was really bad myself. But that could be Because Ive Been Playing BioShock, Halo 3 and Guitar Hero 2 Lately. Mike : )

yea my initial excitement has died down since... last night i guess lol. anyway i would have to agree he doesnt really look like the conan id imagine. on a side note when i was a kid i had the coolest conan toy sword that talked and lit up and made swoosh sounds when you would swing it lol.

Meh, the demo felt pretty shallow and subpar in terms of quality, but I'll probably pick it up when it drops to $30 or below.. it is crazy fun dismembering enemies though.

Does the game look anything like the Frank Frazetta artwork? Looking at the pictures on IGN doesn't appear to give me that vibe I always got from that artwork. Frazetta made some creepy looking pictures when he drew the barbarian stuff.

I'm a huge fan of Robert E Howard's Conan. The demo was okay, nothing too spectacular in the ten minutes it lasts. Bits of the writing (like Conan using "Aye") gave me some hope it would be true to the Hyborian universe, but I didn't feel like the demo looked or played particularly "great." I also worry it's a generic brawler with the Conan license slapped on. That wouldn't be such a big deal, except I'm a big fan and don't like seeing Conan bastardized. Still, if I saw it cheap I'd pick it up.

So honestly whats holding everybody back is the $ , I expect this game to be at your local eb/gamestops used soon and i dont think its gonna hold its value like HALO3/GOW..
