Odd's and ends from this morning. The Drawn to Life is a Christmas gift for my daughter who mentioned last night that she wanted it. Picked up Cold Fear with it simply because of the price ($4.99 with 10% off of that). Unbelieveably, I picked the Call of Duty 4 up from my old buddy's Swap Shop for $5! It's my second copy and I figure I'll give it to my cousin's son as a gift so we can LAN together. The wrestling DVD's are a guilty pleasure of mine. The TNA's were $6.50 apiece at FYE and I grabbed the Royal Rumble set from Wal-Mart this morning. The Mario power up drink will look good on my odds and ends gaming shelf.

WoW!! It's been awhile since I've been to the Flea Market.
I didn't dress right for the weather as it felt 10 degrees colder when I got to the market, the wind was killer being a wide open area.
I rushed through the isles not paying too much attention to anything..not much there.

One guy had a nice amout of Intellevision loose games but $3.00 each:deadhorse:
Loose Atari 2600 $15.00/Genny X 2 $10.00 each.Xbox $80.00/PS2 $80.00

The most thing I saw today was Light guns..All kinds of different types of video game system light guns on different tables.

Rushing through the place I came up on a pile of PS2 and Xbox games, the NAMCO GUNCON LIGHT GUN PLAYSTATION 2 was on top of the pile.
So I picked that up for $5.00
Then I looked again and put off to the side were the Xbox 360 NFSMW and Xbox Burnout Revenge.
I asked about them and the vendor said that a lady asked to put them aside for her this morning that she was coming back.
But she hadn't yet and she decided to sell them to me..:)so I took them both for $5.00 each

$15.00 total spent.

Haven't had too many finds, I'm trying to save for Christmas presents. But over the past few weeks I've gotten some good stuff.

King of Fighters XI - PS2

Strategy Guides from Sisko -

Tekken 5
Silent Hill 4
Sigma Star Saga
Minish Cap
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Grandia Xtreme

Some UMDs from Gamestop's Black Friday deal -

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
House of Flying Daggers
Fifth Element
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children

Then I had a decent night last night. I found a nice power strip at best buy for $25, marked down from $100. Before I was done shopping I found a $25 Gift Card.

Picked up Guilty Gear Judgment for the PSP at Circuit City for $13. And then at the gamestop next door I asked an employee if he had anymore of the Tales of Legendia lanyard he was wearing. Well they didn't, but he gave his to me :)

Cornelius: Yeah, it sucked, but I more just had to vent about it. I've had some really nice finds along the way (SNES Orge Battle for free was one of my favs.), so I can't be too mad about it.
Nice find you got there, though! Would love to find a Jaguar. I haven't seen many go in the wild, although maybe I'm just missing those, too.

The "find gods" were on my side today. I went to a flea market I don't visit much because they usually don't have crap for games, but today was different.

I ended up going home with

Gamecube Mario Party 7 set for $32, the kicker was once I opened up the box they also had Super Mario Strikers, The Simpsons Hit and Run, and a 251 memory card included with the system, two controllers, mic, and mario party 7.

The same seller also had 5 nes games for $5

Pow
Legend of Zelda
River City Ransom

Little late with these but I'm just now returing after a short hiatus. From the flea market and Sy the miscellaneous junk dealer had a couple interesting things. I found a model 1 Genesis along with a model 2 Sega CD sitting atop some electronics garbage, found the adapters and instruction booklet for the SCD in a box nearby. There were some loose SCD super commons but they had been stepped on and cracked by the time I found them. It all works 100%, the Genesis 1 will probably be USA/JPN + 60Hz/50Hz + RCA composite modded and sold, I'll more than likely hold the SCD until I pair it with a modded Genesis 2.

In another box I found a Virtual Boy with the stand and controller attached. The controller has its battery compartment and the system had Virtual Boy Wario Land inside - anyone that knows VB knows it's one of the premier games on the platform. I tossed everything in one box and he said $10 for it all - no problem. The VB amazingly works perfectly - I was expecting it to be damaged considering how rough his wares are handled. I have a boxed complete one as well as VB Wario Land but I think I'll hang onto it as a second always out unit - just need to get a visor and visor plate for it. Anyone have a couple spares they'd like to sell?

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-12-03(01).jpg

Aside from that I bought four NES games from my buddies for $2 each and a Monopoly LCD handheld for $1 from a clothing vendor. On the way out I stopped by a game seller with crazy high prices and crazy shitty inventory, most of the time he's not out there. He's had a copy of Tobal 2 FOREVER and well, quite honestly, I was tired of seeing it beat up in his boxes. I grabbed it and a copy of Bionic Commando for the NES for $10 - a little high yes, but I don't mind paying $5 for each.

NES - Bionic Commando ($5.00)
NES - Fisher-Price I Can Remember ($2.00)
NES - Ikari Warriors ($2.00)
NES - Star Trek 25th Anniversary ($2.00)
NES - Toobin' ($2.00)
PS1 - Tobal 2 (JPN) ($5.00)

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-12-03(02).jpg

I also poked around a few stores over the weekend, Alleyway is from a Gamestop and Grandia III is from an FYE. The original Grandia is my favorite RPG but I didn't care much for the uninsipred storyline in Grandia II. Sure it was fun to play and the battle system was as smooth and wonderful as ever, but I never really gave a damn about the characters - the ending was pretty lackluster as well. As for Xtreme, I was smart enough to just stay away. However Grandia III looked like it was going to head back more to the roots of the series. I've only played a couple hours but I'm going to stick with that assumption, it's been a blast thus far and reminds me a lot of the original.

GB - Alleyway ($2.99)
PS2 - Grandia III (19.99)

Yeah that's probably why I'm having trouble completing Grandia II on Dreamcast...the lackluster characters coupled with the fact that I keep running out of health. Good find on that Tobal...

Anyway, got my Circuit City Black Friday stuff that I ordered online in the mail:

Bust a Move Deluxe (PSP) - $5
Call of Juarez (360) - $10
Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers (PS2) - $5
Guilty Gear (PSP) - $5

I stopped at Goodwill yesterday to look for black octagonal plates to finish my wife's goal of a 20 piece dish set (she got a bunch for her birthday to add onto the settings we all ready have). No dishes but I found the following, all new and sealed:

360 Tomb Raider:Legend $7
Xbox Gun: $5
Xbox X-Men 2: Rise of Apocalypse $5

They also had lots of "Matrix: Path of Neo" for Xbox, a couple "The Godfather" and a couple more 360 Tomb Raiders. Peeling off one of the Goodwill stickers there was remnants of the original store's price sticker and it looked a lot like Target's.

Around here the GW and SA both get Target clearance items that don't sell. What's funny is that they've often been marked down so much at Target that if the person pricing isn't paying attention, they will be marked higher at GW. They'll fix it if you point that out, though.

I would suggest buying that dark tower game. Even if it isn't complete, it still worth money for the parts. The tower itself in good working condition can bring between $50-$100 depending on condition.

Hey, if that's a new & sealed copy of Shining Force EXA, how much did you pay for it? The game's been out for 10 months now, I was kind of hoping Sega would do a price cut or maybe GameStop would clearence price it since the game probably doesn't move from the shelves...

It covers "The Legend of Zelda" and "The Adventure of Link". Very amusing in that I found it on the same shelf containing a 100 year old copy of Arabian Nights and a historical overview of the American Revolution...Not sure how Link and his adventures fit in there, but whatever. :-/

It's only been two weeks since my last visit to Wal-Mart but I remember them having multiple copies of the game. Unfortunately, unless this price drop was recent and universal, they still had them listed as $49.99.

Missed the half price guides I was hoping for at TrU but I ended up leaving with a Wii Zapper and a GC player's choice Tales of Symphonia, which rang up for $7.99. Unrelated, I picked up a Hammer Dracula 4 pack at FYE for $4.99. And my find of the week is a new copy of The Call of Cthulu from the HPLHS at Best Buy. Ooooh, Lovecraft goodness!

Just out curiosity, how is that Call of Cthulhu film? I was reading about it the other night and it sounds really cool. It's a silent film, isn't it?

* EDIT: I guess the "Silent" on the front of the case should have been a tip-off :) *

I found a Evel Knievel Dragster set,out of box...$40.00 (no haggle=passed up) Not sure if it worked ..It was cool looking,I had it when I was a kid...I was reluctant to buy it as I just don't think I could resell it for more..Right now shelling out that much money for an old toy isn't in the cards..I hate getting stuck with stuff/after spending that much and I don't have any need for it.
I overheard one guy looking at it get on his cell phone and ask someone to do a price search on it..He walked away after he got his answer so maybe that was a sign..
I don't see any on ebay but I do see new released stuff made of the old toys.

Oh, if you're a Lovecraft fan and know the story(ies) then you would absolutely love it. I had an avi copy a buddy gave me and have watched it about ten times. It is truly creepy ala the original story and the "silent" part makes the story that much better. I wish they would do more fimes in this manner.

There were about 5 or 6 garage sales today. There was nothing at the garage sales. I got one thing: A silver charm bracelet with one charm for $1 (I scrap gold, silver, and brass)

So, my dad and I headed out to the flea market. I saw very few games, and the games I saw were common (or overpriced) ones. I was tempted to buy a copy of NES GI Joe for $5, just because it's a game I don't have. I saw a loose black sports edition dreamcast for $10, a Roland Juno-1 keyboard for $100(this keyboard had 2 broken keys!! I want a good Roland keyboard but I'll just wait and find a SH-101 one of these days...), and a few other things. I got a few pieces of silver to scrap and a nice James Avery pin for $0.50 (on ebay, a $50 pin!). So, anyway we headed down to a nearby goodwill and I got a copy of Megaman X and Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures for SNES at $0.99 each.

Later, We went to yet another nearby goodwill and I found a CSI the sixth season dvd set for $3.99, which is a 5-disc set. This CSI set is odd, I looked it up on ebay and every sixth season set looks different than this one, and they are all 6 disc sets. Now, I would just assume that my set is missing a disc, but on the front cover it says "5-disc set", also when I put it in my computer to play it, it loads up the menu and the dvd menu is low-res and looks completely unprofessional, and there is an email address on the dvd menu.
It says "threeone2005@hotmail.com". Methinks this set is a very good bootleg(the box sure looks professional, with copyrights and everything) or some kind of unofficial release(probably a bootleg).

Sounds like a bootleg. I know I buy them sometime because they're way cheaper. Although I usually get them for anime. They have a nice printed over and inserts, which make it seem as a "real" release. Then you put them in and the quality isn't the greatest and the subtitles are a bit off/mis-timed. Plus the e-mail thing is a really good giveaway that it's a bootleg. Either way, for 3.99, not a bad deal!

Well I went shopping for my wife's Christmas present and came across the complete series of Six Feet Under at a pawn shop. It was marked $128 with 40% off so I looked at all the DVDs, most felt like they had never been taken out. All were in perfect condition so that was a steal.

At the Pawn Shop I also found a better fitting wedding band than the one I lost three weeks ago for $50. Bought that up in a hurry since my wife probably would have found out if I waited too much longer. :)

Other than that I picked up Call of Duty 4 for $39.99 and Dead Rising for $22.49 at Best Buy. I had them pricematch Circuit City's ad. The manager wanted to keep the ad so he could get it price matched after he was off work har har har. :)

Also bought Mass Effect and Guitar Hero 3 with wired X-Plorer guitar at full retail price.

That's why all my wedding rings have been no more than $20 in value. I lost one after a night of drinking and another got broken playing golden tee golf (I'm left-handed so I hit the trackball with the same hand the ring is on, now I always switch the ring to my right hand when playing golden tee).
