I picked up this at a godwill sometime ago. It is called HIGH SCORE. it is all black plastic and has a spot to put an atari or coleco joystick. I originally bought it because it had an atari controller in it. I can also hear that there are some weights in it to make it heavy. I can't find it in the dp guide and can't understand what its purpose is. Anybody know about it or have one of these?? What is it for and is it worth anything??

Can you get a pic?
If you can, send it here feedback@vidgame.net and I can host it.

:/ Hmm.... can you double check the images? The email says that it's nearly 200K, but when I go to get the pics (I can't even see them in the email like I can with others) it says they are zero K.

The name doesn't ring any bells, but I recall seeing ads in magazines back when the videogame rivalry of the day was the Atari VCS vs. the Mattell Intellivision for something that sounds like what you describe.
I only saw the product in pictures, but it was a square base with slanted sides (like a pyramid), with a square hole in the top for the CX-40 joystick base, and a notch cut out for the joystick cable.
The idea was to place the product on a tabletop with the joystick in it, and play that way, rather than holding the stick in your palm, to make the joystick 'feel' more closely resemble the feel of playing a coin-op.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about this.

Anyone have a clue what you need to do to post an image on these boards?!? >:(
I have no clue who made it. i picked up this one with the cool cloth carrying pouch a few years back.
Theres an auto fire button, a manual fire button, a left/right handed switch and a switch to switch back and forth between Atari 2600 and Coleco mode. The joystick itself is very stiff and there's a manual fire button on the tip of it. Basically auto fire is the only thing that it adds to a game.

You needed to change for backslash to a forward slash.

I think Noahsmybro is right on the money. It is just a plastic base type thing to give you a more authentic feel.
I will try to link my photo, but bear with me as I have never done it before.

Since this item is not in the DP guide, Is it worthy of an entry ??

I'm pretty sure I have one of those things, but I'm not sure where I got it, or if it came with something... I'm a little surprised to see the "Coleco" imprint on it; I'm pretty sure they didn't make it, but maybe it's for Colecovision?

There is no makers brand on it except hong kong on the back. The coleco is there just to show where to put the coleco joystick. If you look closely in the center it says atari also for the atari controller.

Looks like that's the packaging for the small coleco handheld electronic games like Pac-Man, Donky Kong., ect.

Ah, I've got one of these - it's shaped the way it is so that you can either use a standard Atari joystick OR a ColecoVision stick in the base.
I thought it was already in the book - nice catch for pointing it out!

Would that entry be put in both the atari and coleco sections?

Oh I don't have everything, but it IS my goal :)

It should probably go in both but for certain I'll add it to the ColecoVision section. Thanks again for the heads up.
