If this is out of line just lock the topic, but I'm a big fan of the original pocket fighter, and I'd really like a chance to play the sequel.

Does anyone know if this game runs on any current arcade emulators?

Failing that:

Has there been any sort of home port of the game?
Has anyone played the game?
Can you give me any info about it (that I can't find by simply entering the title into google)?

No emulators support it as I know of (yet), but I am not sure about a home version for any system. Does anyone know? Maybe for PS1?

Have you seen the KLOV (http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=P&game_id=9052) page? Looks like it runs on Naomi hardware. No chance of it being emulated soon, then.

Wow! This is weird... I have never seen this game at all... no screenshots or anything, yet there are reports of it, and other web sites mention it also.

The KLOV listing is interesting becuase it has a detailed report of the game and everything, but no screenshots. I am surprised that they would make the sequel on the Naomi board, considering that the original was on the CPS-2. No home versions have been made so far... it's unfortunate because it could have easily been ported to the Dreamcast if it was a Naomi board.

Was this a U.S or European release? I'd love to give this game a try, or at least see some screenshots.

Hmm...the thread doesn't really say much of anything. I bought the original pocket fighter for $10 on a whim when it was on clearence, and, to my surprise, loved it.

Well.. I doubt that the game exists still. I think if it did exist, then it would at least be on Capcom's site.

And, it sounds like the guys at KLOV are doubting the existence of it, and they are the only ones that we are all going by.

I hope I am wrong... I'd love to play a sequel to Pocket Fighter, or Puzzle Fighter.

Scroll down to the decription and where it says "Series". This is coming from Mame.dk...a very welll renowned site. I am almost sure the game exists.

I hope you're right. I would love to see the game again. I am just hoping that someone didn't make it up (such as KLOV) and everyone else is listening to that one source.

I've seen it under two different titles now, which makes me wonder a little more, Pocket Fighters II: The Revenge of the New Challengers and Pocket Fighters II: The New Challengers.

But, thanks for the MAME info. I trust MAME too, and still hope that you are right about the existence of this game. I was in Japan until summer 2002, and I visited a lot of arcades there, and never saw this game. But, I am still going to try and find some definite proof whether this game exists or not!!
