At Goodwill:
I got a copy of NES Championship Bowling (R4) for $3.99. I also got a brand-new, sealed copy of King's Quest VI, my favorite King's Quest game, for $2.99. Also, my Goodwill raised the prices on older video games from $2.99 to $3.99 :(
I thought going to another goodwill outside of my town would be a good idea. I stopped by a goodwill superstore in Sacramento off of Florin and it seemed big. They only had a Nintendo w/ no cords for $14, a sega genesis w/ 2 controllers and no cords for $20 and a handful of sports games for atari, sega, and super nintendo. I need to find another goodwill so I can find some Sniper type deals.

That goodwill actually sounds pretty good, you just likely caught it at a bad time.
Dang Kitsune, that's pretty nice for $6. It is quite hilarious to see that psone mold used like that. I can just imagine that the factory that used to make them was thinking "well, we've got this case we can make easily (or have a bunch left over/with defects), what cheap-ass electronics can we cram in?"

I know this is off topic from a video game find but if anyone collects records this is a huge find. 700 records for $65. less then .10 a record.
Feel free to post them in the What was the last record you purchased? (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57823&highlight=record+finds) thread. :)

Super Scope (complete, looks unused with plastic still around the pieces in the box) - $5
On a side note, I never knew they sold the super scope without the pack-in super scope 6 game but the boxed one I got said no game included on the box.

Flea Market:
I left out of the house thinking it wasn't too cold out then when I got to the Market(open area) wow!!
It felt like the coldest day ever there.
The only good thing about the cold is that the scavenger vendors didn't show up thus I found more then usual..at fair prices.
The first vendor I ran into asked me about how to fix a Pocketbike(as I'm known for two things Pocketbikes and Videogames.......
I did my best.,but it was just too cold to stay there trying to explain everything to him..
I picked up
SNES
Mega Man X $2.00
Captain America $2.00
The second vendor had an Atari 2600 boxed system..$25.00..but she didn't want me to open it,after trying to argue why I need to ..I just walked away..
The third vendor had a Playstation with games,SNES with hook-ups and a NES with hook ups and.... games on the table.
As I walked up someone bought the SNES with hook-ups for $50.00@_@(an older guy)..I asked about the NES it was $35.00 with a bag of hook-ups so I grabbed it though $35.00 is a bit high for me.:|.All the game booklets were in the bag and the games for them were still on the table..The games weren't included in the sale.(I didn't see the books in the bag until I got home)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/Misc%20Pictures/FLEA21608021.jpg
The next Vendor I picked up the Dreamcast for $5.00
Nes Games 3 for $5.00
Strider
Dream Master
Legendary Wings
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/Misc%20Pictures/FLEA21608022.jpg
While buying the DC stuff a Fight broke out between three woman across from where I was..They were throwing fists punching each other in the face over crap....A crowd grew a people were yelling Catfight!!LOLLOLLOLROFL
The forth vendor.a guy I don't like dealing with had a whole bunch of NES carts spread out all over the ground and a boxed NES.System.....Ohhh Nooo!!..(again=due to the severe cold the scavenger vendors didn't show as the Boxed NES would of been at another table for $60.00
I bit my tongue and asked how much ..$30.00..I opened it up to check it's contents and it was worth it.
It came with SMB and Tetris was in the Deck..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/Misc%20Pictures/NICKYANDCHRIS10.jpg
I blew through the other vendors and left..It was just to cold..
.................................................. ....
NES System $35.00
NES System in Box with SMB and Tetris $30.00
SNES
Mega Man X $2.00
Captain America $2.00
Dreamcast $5.00
Nes Games 3 for $5.00 Strider ,Dream Master,Legendary Wings

got an almost complete set of nintendo power issues 2-134 (just missing a few from the shitty n64 days) almost every issue is emaculate and complete with all inserts (one poster is missing) all power cards even the calender is in issue 2!. I paid 1$ per issue. I even got the one issue I never had as a kid (missed it by being late for re-subscrbing) i'm thinking of framing issue 2 and the ducktales issue (the one i missed)
http://www.green-ranger.com/nes/finds/powers.jpg
even got a bunch of strategy guides for free in the deal, the snes gameboy nes atlas dkc 1 and 2 offical guides and one for the shitty64 zelda game (my roomate told me its a relatviely hard to find guide) with the "shiny" link on the cover. overall i'm happy with the deal, just need to find a place to put em all. I only really wanted 1-100 but couldn't resist grabbing em all.
also got the newer final fantasy 7 figures of aerith tifa and cloud, cloud sucks but the other two are very detailed.

can I post eBay finds here?
You can post what you want in here, if you think its a 'find' then go to town. Most arn't discriminatory when it comes to that. You might not get much love if you post an ebay link of buying x game and paying ebay (or higher) prices on it, but otherwise its a find if you feel it is.

Dang Blitzwing, Darth Vader is totally peeking at Tifa's undies. XD
There weren't that many good things today - I found yet another bootleg Famiclone in a Playstation case, but they wanted $5 for the set without any hookups so I left it behind.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2008-02-16-cdvds.jpg
I got the DVD for $3 - the discs are mint, even though the box is beat up. The CDs were $1 a pop.
And now for the true crown of my collection...

Dan from The Arcade Flyer Archive (http://arcadeflyers.com/) is selling tons and tons of flyers at his own website, Coinopvideogames.com (http://www.coinopvideogames.com/) - and I snagged these three as fast as I could. Most people know I'm a huge huge huge Art of Fighting fan. ;) I've been a fan of the series since 1992! :P
Oh yeah, I found this last week, but forgot to put up pictures.

Yesterday I picked up games from Best Buy, Circuit City and Gamestop. I meant to check out Goodwill, but I just didn't feel like it.
Best Buy
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (GC, PC version, new) - $9.99
I'm particularly excited about this find because I went to this store and passed it up 3 times when I saw it there in the value display around the holidays. Then, they dismantled the value display and moved all the games back into the storeroom. When I went back yesterday, I found it hiding behind a copy of Happy Feet for GC in the Wii section. Since Gamestop is now charging $17.99 used for this game, I'm glad I got it for a good price.
Circuit City
Snoopy vs. The Red Baron (PS2, new) - $16.96 (Not sure if I'll keep it yet, but it's the only one I've seen at any Circuit City and Play magazine gave it good reviews. Hopefully, it will drop to $8.96 soon so I can get a price match plus.)
Gamestop
Firefighter F.D. 18 (PS2, complete) - $27.99 :D
Impossible Mission (DS, new) - $9.99
Lifeline (PS2, complete) - $3.69
Rave Master (GC, complete) - $13.49 :D
Swashbucklers: Blue vs. Gray (PS2, complete) - $13.49
I was pretty excited to find Firefighter F.D. and Rave Master yesterday because those are at the very least uncommon games. I just picked up Swashbucklers because it's a budget game I haven't seen used anywhere before, but the case has an odd smell, so I'm gonna alcohol it down and spray it with Febreze...trust me, it needs it.

That same Goodwill in New Berlin, WI that had 6 Mass Effects for $24.99 now has about 12! They also knocked down the price of the PS2 Buzz! 4-player bundles to $9.99, So I picked up one of those.
Scored a like new Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP for $19.99 at a local used game store. And finally stopped at a TRU for a 360 The Outfit for $5.00, and a LE Perfect Dark Zero for $12.98. Not a bad Saturday at all!

Today at a Goodwill I'd never been to before:
2600 carts (99 cents each)
Super Challenge Football (Telegames)
Megamania
Word Zapper
Double Dunk
Turmoil
They also had Pac-Man and Combat but I passed on those. (Edit: after cleaning and some fiddling, all five carts work. I was pleased to discover that even though the label just says "FOOTBALL" on the end and the side, that one is actually Super Challenge Football.)
Also picked up a Sega Saturn Bootleg Sampler disc, and passed on 5 Sega CD games. They weren't in the best condition but if they're 99 cents each like the other stuff, I might go back and pick them up.

Oh and I won an ebay auction today for a lot of 11 Saturn games and 4 Dreamcast games. The Saturn list includes Pandemonium (R5) and 3D Baseball (R6) and with shipping the whole shebang only cost a couple bucks more than the value on those two games. Can't wait til they get here.

In my limited experience, the only thing that is rare about them is the ability to work correctly. They have a heat issue. I have one that works only on its side.
Supposedly they output sound quality on par with super expensive audiophile CD players. I don't buy it myself.

Not a Find but:
My Son likes to sit on the floor when gaming,no matter what type chair I get him he winds up on the floor.
I remember seeing some gaming chairs in Target marked down about two months ago so I went back there looking for some last night.
I found 4 of them in the gaming section a top a $99.99 sticker for something else..upon inspection of the box(misc places) I find they are still on clearance for $27.00..Maybe not worth even that but it's what I needed.
Also

$2. The seller didn't have a clue what this was. Apparently they got stuff from a Chinese person... The Donkey Kong box has a sticker in Chinese, so it must've been an import. Holy Christ that is one sweet find. D:
Ah. I only found this today:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2008-02-18-sfc.jpg
$2. The seller didn't have a clue what this was. Apparently they got stuff from a Chinese person... The Donkey Kong box has a sticker in Chinese, so it must've been an import. They also had a first generation Konami DDR Pad for the PS1, original Japanese release, in box. I didn't buy it, it was too bulky...
I know the japanese version isn't too hard to find (compared to the us version), but if you're interested in selling the mario rpg I'm looking for a copy :-)

Nothing amazing but a few items I wanted for some time now:
Tony Hawk Project 8 (xbox) - 9.99
Final Fantasy 5 (gba) - 9.99
and I took advantage of the 3 for $20 used dvd deal at Blockbuster and picked up these wwe ppv's (mainly for the blockbuster exclusive bonus discs)
No Mercy
Summerslam
Great American Bash

What would you have paid for this, given you were in the market for one? Its the 60gig. Picked it up off Craigslist, been waiting for a good deal to come along. Rainbow 6, madden, and Fight night will be for sale if anyone is interested. (The cats, obviously, are priceless, but were only interested in the deal, not actually a part of it).

Without doing the math, maybe $500? I know it's worth more than that, but most of the games don't appeal to me. I bet the ebay price is maybe $700 (again, without doing the math).

Considering I paid $600 for my 60gb ps3, $60 for my copies of Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and Fight Night, and $50 for my extra controller, if you paid anything between $400 and $600 I think you got a great deal.

cool! I paid 450. I was 90% sure that was a good deal, but since I haven't been following the used market on the new systems at all (well, other than wiis always being offered for 350) until this week, I wasn't positive. I knew I could at least recoup the costs if I had to sell it all again. Full disclosure, though, the guy said one controller doesn't work. I'm giving it a full charge right now, then I'll see if there is something I can do about it.

They dropped the prices on some of the next gen stuff at the Goodwill in New Berlin, WI:
PS3 Eye of Judgment w/camera and deck $24.99 (rather beat-up packaging, though)
360 Scene It! w/4 controllers $19.99
360 Viva Pinata Party Animals $19.99
360 Mass Effect $24.99
I picked up a 360 Scene It! bundle...Party Animals was new to the mix, and there were still 10 copies of Mass Effect left...enjoy!

Yeah, they had others (the first Dragon Warrior, John Elway & Tecmo NBA Basketball to name a few) but I figured I better go for the ones I hadn't ever seen in the wild before. I'm glad I did.

Since I never seem to find games worth putting here, I like to post whatever random crap I sometimes find.
My current odditiy is a Nylon Schott Perfecto 118 jacket. Said to be a Euro sample, further research indicates that this is a style that was produced in 1995. I will try to find more information if possible, but silver ballistic nylon motorcycle jackets don't pop up on ebay every day :)

From my current finds last week or two:
Vectrex! Finally a good score! I haven't had one in a while. (Although... I do have Alien Brigade coming to my house with 40 other atari games... for only $20. Sometimes craigslist is really cool!)
I just picked up the box from UPS an hour ago. (I missed them when they delivered it earlier.
The games did not include instructions. :( Darn! Oh Well... Like I mentioned... I can't be picky. I just added up the loose cart value from DP... it was nearly $500
WOW!
But all of the games have the screen overlays. The boxes are in pretty good shape. The more rare games that is.... are in great shape.
The console... in a way, it made it. And in a way... it didn't. The controller is in good shape. It does not self center in one direction. I'll take care of that though with the surplus of Combat 2600 carts that I have. The console itself? Well... I fired it up and it works. No issues at all. The buzz is bad, but that's fairly normal. But... I noticed that the top part of the screen/tube can be pushed in. Seems as though something wasn't right on the inside. So I unplugged it and opened the sucker up. A few of the MAIN support posts and screw posts broke during shipping. So cosmetically from the INSIDE... it is jacked up a bit. But the outside looks great. I happen to have another Vectrex in the garage that the video goes out on from time to time. You have to whack the side of the Vectrex to get it to work again. I think it is a bad solder... I just don't know where to look. Perhaps the four colored wires? I could swap the innards and make a really nice machine for one of them. And sell the other for parts. Either way... I'm still very very happy with the purchase. The real value was the games in this lot.
I traded a brand new PStwo and the new Spyro game for it. I think I had a pretty good deal there!

Craiglist ad:
This is a vintage Vectrex system with one controller, Screen Unit in excellent conditon, 21 games including cartridges and screen sheets, all but one game has a box. Boxes are intact, some show wear from use. Any questions please ask. Will consider a ps2 along with a lower price as trade.
Scramble (no box)
Blitz!
Webwars
Cosmic Chasm
Spike
Fortriss of Norzod
Hyperchase
Rip off
Star Castle
Spinball
Bedlam
Starhawk
Space Wars
Armor Attack
Berzerk
Star Trek Motion Picture
Heads Up
Polor Rescue
Poll Position
Solar Quest
Clean Sweep
I also got a great deal on a pair of Ultimate Ear headphones/earphones. Original price: $199
I got them brand new for $23. (Store had them marked 75% off... and then an additional 50% off of that. I'm waiting for them to do this with the 5 factory sealed PS1 Dragon Warrior VII games I see on the shelf)

Couple things today. First, this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120222369049&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=002) came today, which with disc 1 that I found at SA a while back for a buck means I just need to track down a manual to have a nice complete game.
I also picked up an NES ac adapter and n64 blast corps at a thrift for about $5, and a copy of NOLF at the SA for $2, only the jewel case w/ manual and discs, no big box.
p.s. that PS3 controller works great, it just needed to be reset with the little button on the back!
Edit: Nice Vectrex find there Eric!!

What I really like is the leopard print you used for the background.
All I found today was Breakdown (XBOX) for 4.99 at Sears.

Along these same lines what is a 80gb ps3, 2 sixaxis wireless controllers, and 7 games worth? The only thing I can gather from the description is this and the 7 games are not mentioned, only 3 are pictured.
