Picked up a couple of things lately:
Resident Evil (GC)
Resident Evil 4 (GC)
Geometry Wars: Galaxies (Wii)
Snood 2: On Vacation (DS)
I also have been purchasing large amounts of Gamecube games and will be getting a PS3 and some games with my tax refund.

Yesterday I bought a Philips CD-i joypad (the Logitech one) for $2.92, a Famiclone type plug-and-play built like a steering wheel for $2.92, and a Game Wave DVD player with four remotes and one game for $19.51. Haven't tried it out yet.
I ended up passing on a few things here and there. I passed on an Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer for $10, since I already have a Tele-Games version. I might have to go back at some point and pick that one up. Too bad the store had four 2600 consoles but only a handful of games to show for it. I also passed on a Genesis with a Sega Channel adapter, since I didn't know much about it.

Mighty Max, crapolicious! It isn't worthy to hold the name of the Saturday morning cartoon. It feels just as odd as playing Commander Keen on the GBC after playing so many CK titles on the PC.

Not much as I have heard of some people picking it up for $10 new but I just got Mario Kart: Double Dash for 10.78 at a local pawn shop. They still haven't started to clearance the gamecube games at any of the local stores so for me that's a good deal. I'm going to hit up the flea market this weekend and see what I can find.

Kicked off the month with the purchase of my 70th PlayStation game:
Road Rash 3D (complete, GH) - $2.50
(Coincidentally, I got it at the same store I bought my 70th SNES game at way back in 2004. If you're wondering, that was a 50 cent cart only copy of NCAA Basketball.)

This month has started off great!
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u160/Xexyz1337/IM000504.jpg
Everybody loves freebies right? Well a buddy of mine recently got one hell of a deal when selling off his extra Wii. The deal was that the buyer would pay $250 for the system, but he only had $200. So my friend settled for the $200, and got a boxed official NES toploader with 16 games in place of the $50. Now, most of the games were common, but they were quality titles. He got the Mario trio, Tyson's Punch-Out, Blaster Master, Castlevania, Tetris, etc.
The notable rare he did get was Bases Loaded 4. Now, this guy detests baseball, so I inquired on buying it off of him. He gave it to me instead, but on the condition that I take the other three NES games pictured below. I didn't want them (already had Mickey Mouscapade and Rad Racer, and that LJN baseball game is pure shit), but he said he was going to throw them out otherwise :(
As for the new games, Tales of Phantasia and Elite Beat Agents were clearance marked to $15.00 at Kmart, but they rang up at $13.97 each (BONUS!). Final Fight One is brand new, and set me back $20. I love that game, and I picked it up to replace my cart only copy. You don't see sealed 2001 GBA releases too often anymore.

picked up a bunch of crap sega cd titles I didn't have for .95 each
These included (all .95 titles were complete, some even had the styrofoam)
Nfl's Greatest 49ers vs Cowboys
Joe Montana
Bill Walsh
Espn Baseball
Espn Hockey
Kids on site
Power Factory
Rise of The Dragon (only one of the cheap titles that didn't look like it'd be total crap) - cardboard box version
Other Sega Cd titles picked up:
Final Final cd (loose) 1.95
Road Rash (complete) 4.95
Wirehead (complete) 2.95
N64 games (2.00 each, all loose)
Earthworm Jim 3d
Nba on nbc
007 the world is not enough
Killer Instinct Gold (I've been trying to regain this for cheap since a friend borrowed it and never returned it almost 10 years ago)
Our local shopko has been clearing out xbox/gc/ps2 titles and I picked these up (all new/sealed)
Siren (ps2) 1.49
Mat Hoffman (xbox) .49
Pulse Racer (xbox) .99 (probably .99 too much)
Dead or Alive Ultimate (xbox) 3.79
Legacy of Kain Defiance (xbox) 2.19
Karaoke Revolution Party (gc) 9.99
I might go back and pick up one of the eye toy sets they had there for 9.99 as well. Also if anyone is interested in Siren or Legacy of Kain they had quite a few of each so let me know...I always have the inability to turn away from a xbox/ps2/gc game for 2.50 or less.

I picked up more cheap PS2 titles at a new Gamestop today. I said I wouldn't go into Gamestop for a while, but the buy 2, get 1 free deal is back on (I don't know when it started), so I got a pretty good deal:
Arctic Thunder (PS2, complete) - $4.49
Shaman King (PS2, complete) - free
Smuggler's Run 2: Hostile Territory (PS2, complete) - $6.29
Before that, I went into a Wal-Mart I hadn't gone into for a few years. I scanned the game case, and I saw it - Metal Slug Advance for the GBA!!! They wanted $29.99, and I begrudgingly paid because I had seen two brand new copies of MSA at a Gamestop right before they began destroying the boxes and manuals for all the new copies, and by the time I went back, they were gone. Oh well, I've got Metal Slug Advance.

Super Nintendo:
Super Battletank (CIB) $3
Sega Master System:
Great Golf (CIB) $1
Genesis:
Championship Bowling (CIB) $5
Zool (CIB) $1
I traded in a loose copy of Pokemon Puzzle for $4 and they had buy 2 get 1 cart game free. Used the credit so Zool, Great Golf and Super Battletank were trades. Championship Bowling was bought at another store, looked too much like SNK Bowling to pass it up.
Oh, and I've won a bunch of things online and will post about them Sunday evening or whenever I get them.

I went to the (Treasure City, Waco TX) flea market today and I found:

The NES games were $3 each. I got:
Caveman Games (R3)
Totally Rad (R3)
Hatris (R6)
Crash N' The Boys Street Challenge (R5)
Milon's Secret Castle (R1)
The PS1 game, Shooter: Starfighter Sanvein (R2), was also $3.
The second pair of PONG system controllers that I've found at this flea market, was $1. These came from the same seller that I bought another almost identical pair of Sears PONG controllers. Which Atari PONG system does this go to?
Finally, I got Monsters!: The Game of Colossal Conflict for $2. It's complete and in very good unused shape.
Things I passed on:
A gigantic Knuckles doll for $10.
A VHS copy of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show: The Great BMX Race for $0.50 (I alreay have a copy)
A pair of very strange grey "Quick Shot" NES controllers for $8 (you can look it up, it's QS-126)
A boxed NES Beeshu joystick for $5 (Dunno which one, but it was blue)

-NFL 2K3 (disc and case) for XBox: $2.50 at Movie Gallery
-Sonic Heroes (sealed/new) for XBox: $15 shipped off Ebay
-Life Force (cart only) for NES: $1.59 at Goodwill
I actually passed up a $1.59 cart of Skate or Die (NES) at Goodwill, which I now regret. The game is pretty common and cheap but it was a good chance to fill that hole in my current NES collection. Too bad, maybe I will see if it is still there in the next couple of days. Also passed up some SNES and 2600 stuff during the same Goodwill visit but I no longer own either system at the moment.

As I step out of the house to take my Son to school I notice an Xbox box in the cardboard next door to be recycled..
I actually passed it up with the thoughe to pick it up on the way back..But I've learned you snooze you lose.X_x.It's snowing too/just started so I didn't want it to get wet.
I grab it and bring it back home.
When I got back home I open it to see if it has it's packing contents and ..it's got two games in it..(no scratches on the discs & I don't own either game)

I went back to the same Goodwill store today and grabbed that copy of Skate or Die. It was still there for a buck fifty-nine. So were the same 2600 games, which I passed up for a second time. Also passed up some overpriced PS1 garbage.
Since I was in the neighborhood, I stopped into the Salvation Army nearby. Not a game in sight.

So apparently my findings hold true(well, confirmed now by another person), K-Mart and Sears/Sears Essentials Stores don't have a universal markdown. I picked up Elite Beat Agents not too long ago at a Sears store, it was priced at 14 or something I believe, and It rang up at 7.48 or some odd total like that.
Hopefully I can get some good finds this month.
So far I've traded for a Spectrobes Collectors Edition, but thats about it i believe.

I think it was cheap for this Rare Demo. The NTSC Wii cost me later maybe the same price. ;)

Well I wrote out a nice long detailed description of my finds but then I closed the tab and lost it. So here's the short version...
Decent day at the flea market finally with some nice weather. I picked up a PSOne system with power and AV along with a blue DualShock 2 analog controller for $15.00. Of course the controller was DOA (this makes the 5th one I've gone through from this flea market) and I was unable to revive it. The system wouldn't boot games initially but reseating the drive assembly did the trick, it's working perfectly now. I usually sell these for $25.00 but this one will be sold for $20.00 as part of a package with some other items locally...

A gentleman had a few game items he offered to me for $5.00 so I took the two items that were in decent shape, a bare Genesis 2 console and a pair of VCS paddles. One of the paddles has a cracked knob and part of the housing appears to have melted at one point and become slightly deformed. They worked fine after the standard refurbishment and will go with a VCS / 2600 bundle I'm putting together right now with an AV modded Atari 2600. The Genesis 2 will more than likely be USA/JPN modded and have standard RCA jacks installed - my most popular mod. The guy also said that he had a bunch of games as well as a Super Nintendo that someone had come and bought earlier that day but he didn't want the Genesis. I assumed it was the fellow collector I bought my Pole Position arcade cabinet from, more on that in a bit...

There was a lady selling off the last of her inventory from the day for 50 cents. She didn't have all that much, some interesting books but I only grabbed one since my copy seems to have gone missing. In a large pile of junk toys at another vendor I came across a vtech V.Smile Pocket game system. I heard someone announcing that everything was $1.00 until I realized that it was the next space over. I watched the lady running the space give prices for a few moments, all of which seemed pretty cheap. Holding the system up from a distance the seller signaled $1.00 to me, I made sure that the screen was facing away from her as I paid.
The batteries were dead (the system was trying to flicker on when I bought it) so I replaced them as well as tested the unit with external power. Both methods caused the system to fire right up. I don't have any cartridges but the boot squence allowed me to test the picture and sound, both of which are perfect. I also tested the TV output mode with a standard minijack to RCA cable that I use with my camcorder - again it worked perfectly. These are going for $40.00 on eBay right now in the same condition so I'll be selling it soon. If someone here wants it just let me know, of course I'll sell for less with a fair deal. The system is technically exactly the same as the large V.Smile TV console system and uses the same cartridges. I may try to obtain a cartridge to fully test the system but I'll probably sell it as it is since I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. What's kinda cool about it is there is a switch on the back that swaps the control pad and enter button to opposite sides. They rotate and on the back side is the mirror of the control on the front.

Then of course are the NES games. My favorite dealers (the two Chinese gentlemen that deal in retro and GB imports) were back (haven't been there for two months) although on the way to them I ran into the fellow collector I mentioned earlier. He asked me if I had been over to my favorite dealers yet as it seemed someone cleaned them out earlier this morning of some high value / popular / rare NES games they had just brought out today. It seems that we both got beat to the punch, since he didn't have the games that the other seller (with the Genesis 2) said he sold earlier. I guess there's another classic games buyer that stole both our big finds of the day. We both joked that they'll be for sale at one of the other regular's lots next week.
Once I did get to their spot I noticed the large gaps in the three cases of NES games they brought out that week (usually they only have two). In additon he had two more stacks of NES games that looked picked over. I started to go through his assortment, as there was still plenty of good stuff left, and ended up with a stack of about twenty games... woah, I need to budget myself right now. I was going to do a trade with that PSOne system, he offered 5 games ($10.00) but I declined since the other deal I had in mind locally will come out better - especially since I paid $15.00 for the system. So I put back a bunch of the games and stuck with a few that I had been looking for and the ones in the best condition, all for personal collection as most of the games from them are. Ended up with 6 games from him at $2.00 each. Track & Field and RBI Baseball (unlicensed) were $1.00 each from two other separate vendors.
NES - Balloon Fight
NES - The Bard's Tale (R5)
NES - Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge (R5)
NES - Ice Climber
NES - Kick Master (R4)
NES - R.B.I. Baseball (unlicensed)
NES - Spy vs. Spy
NES - Track & Field
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2008-02-06(05).jpg
By the way, the package that I sold locally with the PSOne system went for $30.00 and included...
PSOne system
PSOne power adapter
PS family AV cable
PS1 DualShock analog controller
PS1 WipeoutXL (complete) - the one in my Buying and Selling thread
NES RC Pro-Am
NES Track & Field - the one pictured above
...basically it was expanding a bundle to get rid of some loose items that I wanted gone. Everyone wins, good deal, good items.

Sealed NES games! I got these today at a used book store. They were both $10. Not very cheap, but I couln't resist. I still can't resist opening these. The fact that Dr. J & Mr. H is one of the worst games of all time keeps the shrinkwrap safe. And I have multiple versions of Gauntlet.
