Hope you can make it! What are YOU looking for these days?
Four 3DO games, maybe a dozen boxed 2600 games, and I'm retired.
....except for collecting cabs, that is.

You may want to come on Saturday instead. :)
Bah, sorry. Keep getting my dates confused. I keep thinking Sunday because next Sunday is when I'm going on my trip to New Hampshire. THEN the Sunday after that is Smash Brothers.

I buy movies but I'm pretty selective about it. Highly popular stuff, weird obscure stuff, videogame-related stuff is usually good. If you PM me a list I can check 'em of for you. Or you can just bring 'em all, it only takes a few minutes to separate a huge pile of movies.

A new challenger is approaching!
Confirmed: Dark Side Phil is coming, the number 1 SF2 player in the world...be interesting to see who can take him out.
LOL ! Come on, I have respect for DSP as a player, but this is sheer ridiculousness.

I don't know who the heck that is, but they are 100% wrong. He's a good player, but even in his best game he's not close to being the best in the US let alone the world...

Was I the only person who read this as some bizarre, out of order haiku?
yeah you were the only person that read it as Haiku.
Get your eyes checked or read it aloud and check the bottom of your jaw for syllable counts.
Or if it was your weak attempt at humor at the expense of me, get a funny bone.

I had a great time. So did the two friends I brought along. Meeting Angry Video Game Nerd ruled. I almost got beat up when I asked him "Aren't you that Irate Gamer?" My one friend was flat out star struck. You'd think he was gearing up to go say hi to Harrison Ford. Good time playing Alien Menace (that was the name, right?), chatting it up with everyone, and watching the best Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon ever made on the TVs.

It was nice to see that James "Angry Video Game Nerd" didn't come into the DP Store and walk through each section smashing games he didn't like on the floor ...
... I even expected him to write something like "This thing is a shitload of fuck!" on my Power Glove ... but, very much out-of-character (obviously, since AVGN is a character =/= James Rolfe) he was as great and friendly as one could have hoped!
He spent a long time in the store hanging out and talking with friends and fans, and made an already great NAVA into a truly memorable one!

Alien Menace is an extensive hack of River Raid with some original programming thrown in.
This was a special contest version which restricted the player to one life.

Wow, you seriously took that out of context. I even went back and checked and all that was said was that he definitely isn't the best SF2 player in the US. That was it. Nothing was sid about Dream wanting to "take DSP on and teach him a lesson". I suggest you read a bit more carefully next time.

Wow, I look REALLY pissed off in that one picture.
The picture with you and James is pretty funny, it reminds me of Forrest Gump where every picture he's in, his eyes are closed.Sure you're not thinking of "My Name is Earl"?
From Earl' Wiki entry... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Name_Is_Earl#Main_characters) (Bold emphasis mine.)
Earl J. Hickey (Jason Lee) — Born April 25, 1970 The protagonist and narrator of the show. In flashbacks, we see Earl before he began reforming himself: a jobless ne'er-do-well with no respect for authority or just about anyone. Self-described as the guy who would've stolen anything that wasn't nailed down, Earl now stands by the principle of karma. He explains karma by saying, "do good things and good things happen, do bad things, they come back to haunt you." He was supposed to be named after his father, Carl, but an extra loop on a cursive "C" was Earl's first step into a life of misfortune. Earl has never had a photograph taken without blinking at the wrong moment, something regularly demonstrated throughout the show. Earl knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with a moustache when he first drank chocolate milk, and in episode 3.01 he implies that it is one of his two favorite things.
It's one of my favorite running gags on the show.

Well I can't find out how to show everyone who doesnt have a MySpace, so like coldguy said, i'll post it here, ENJOY!:
"Well, Jimmy, Darryl and I got back from NAVA about an hour ago, and it ROCKED! I met so many people including Brett Vanderbrook (Captain S), Devon Riley (NES) who is so AWESOME, Mike Matei, g1's Ronack and coldguy, and ScrewAttack.com's very own Angry Video Game Nerd, yes, James Rolfe was there and the picture of James, Jimmy278, and I shall be posted soon when Ronack uploads it.
Anyways, I scored myself a Sega Dreamcast, along with NBA2K1 for $25 and Sonic Adventure for a awesome price of $10, this store is beyond awesome, also along with a NES controller I bought from Ronack, I also bought Fester's Quest, Metriod, and I bought Hogan's Alley from coldguy. almost everything was there. Alot of people showed up too! what was weird was when I walked in, Joe, the store owner told me that James, well how Joe said it "The Angry Nerd Man" was downstairs with his friend (Mike) and his wife, I was like NO WAY!, I didn't go down to the basement cause I didn't want to bother the guy.
about 20 minutes later, James came up stairs and almost everyone at the event ran over to him, picture flashes were going off, shaking hands with him, it was cool. I got to meet him, he knew who I was cause we have talked through e-mail before and I have donated him things. He's a really nice guy, and yes, the complete opposite of Angry. Mike was awesome too, he asked if Lord Kickass was there, but Lord couldn't show up, dude, COME NEXT TIME!
James then left with Mike and his wife, and PBC was still there with G1's and such, It was fun, we played Rock Band and met alot of cool people there, the tournament was a hacked game (I forgot wat it) for Atari and domincanjay4lyf almost won, but coldguy beat his score..awww. We didn't get video for this event like we planned because we were all having so much fun we didn't even bother, but next time there will be video, cause word on the street is the March NAVA is gonna be big.
Ronack, you were awesome and it was a pleasure doing business with you on a fair NES controller trade.
coldguy, this has been the second time I have met you and DAMN you made a shit load of money today with selling your stuff! you guys are awesome.
Well, If you guys are in the east coast, you need to come to NAVA. This event ROCKS HARD and it has everything you can imagine.
www.digitpress.com
check it out.
Here are other people's reactions and what they thought about this month's NAVA:
(NOTE: the names i provide to them are there usernames on ScrewAttack.com, these also have been copied and pasted from ScrewAttack)
Ronack:
Well NAVA was definitely an amazing experience and is one of the greatest video game stores in existence. The place literally has everything you
can possible think of and them some. Myself and Brett and Devon from PBC productions got a ride from Coldguy and we made it there easily.
Coldyguy made a killing too since he had a ton of stuff to sell. PBC also sold some swag and DVD's as well and I sold an NES controller to Dastardly
Dylan. James the AVGN and his wife showed up which was pretty cool, along with Mike Matei who was wearing a cool shit pickle shirt. The Nerd dropped
like 450 bucks on a cool Vectrex and a Jaguar CD component. There was all kinds of snack food, pizza, and drinks at the event, and it was just an entire
day of gaming awesomeness.
This particular piece interested me a whole lot mainly because it copies freakin Atari games!
Moon Jump:
I had a really good time. I didn't even know Dill and Jim where there, nobody really introduced themselves. I got Brett and Devon and even got to see Attack of the Clones before they put it up online. "It's the world premiere! Right here baby!!"
I met Ronack, Coldguy, Joe and a bunch of the other Digital Press folks from the forums. I'm trying to save money so I only walked out with an old PS1 game and an autographed copy of the Captain S DVD. It sucks because EVERY isle I walked in, I wanted something. Stuff in people's boxes, I wanted. I had to hold back. But no guarantees next time...
It was funny when James walked in. Gerard saw him as he walked into the store and he looked like he was bracing himself for everybody to charge him, but nothing really happened. I saw him and introduced myself. Really nice guy in person, glad I got to meet him and got an autograph too. I recommenced that he try World Heroes on the Neo-Geo because the characters in that game are hilarious. I think James got enough stuff for the next three years of AVGN videos, so I bet he enjoyed the trip.
I'll have the video I took of the store as well as the pictures up tomorrow. Once I get em' up, I'll post them here.
Thanks to everybody that came to the event and thanks to Joe for running the best damn video game store there is!
coldguy:
Wow, that is what I would use to describe this event, wow. Well my friend and I went up but first picked up the guys at PBC and Ronack. Like I tell everyone, I have infinite amount of truck space, this is why tetris is a good game to play. We managed to crap ourselfs into the car and headed out to DP, my GPS unit was completely lost and I managed to take the back way into the store. Managed to get in, unload ALL my stuff and set up nicely for the party to go underway.
Brett and Devon were busy at work on the filler Friday vid, they were trying to get all the sound effects working and the right sound mixed, in the end it turned out awesome. Something you really didn't expect, check it out. I meet the guys over at press start, Moon Jump and 2600, both of whom are awesome guys. I would like to see the vid they did of me and my once owned rare controller, more on that later. Dasterly was there and once again we meet, he and his buddies helped me out a lot with buying some pieces of my collection, including a signed copy of Rampage 2 for the n64. However it got a whole lot more interesting.
My friend managed to snag a Neo Geo Pocket and two games for it, and also.....I still can't believe it...and N gage and games for it. Yea.....I don't know why either. One a good note, she did almost managed to beat operation thunder bolt and placed 3rd on the high score list, which was awesome.
Rock back was going on and I did not go and do it. Although many a people play this game for fun, too many were to hard core on it and I passed on it.
However I did see something that I was not expecting....James, Mike and James' wife (I am so sorry but your name has escaped me). James was looking around the place in amazement, like every new comer, and he got into the basement. While numerous people were talking to James, I was talking to Mike (wearing a shit pickle shirt btw) and we were talking shop and discussing some interesting items and laughing at the finds. Colleco Expansion Module number one anyone? At the end of the day the total of everything he got was about $450 with a few "just take it" items. He didn't stay long but I could assure you he got a lot of things, including a vetrex, and a Jaguar CD module.
Anywho, the tourney went with a BRAND NEW atari game called Alien Domain. Yes I said Brand new, you get one life and have to shoot the aliens. It was really hard and I...sucked at it. my 1550 points was not as bad as the 30 points someone else got. Oh well, Devon liked my collection and picked up Zack and Wiki and my Xbox for $50 bucks. Sweet! At the end of the day I sold over $300 worth of games at either equal cost or profit, awesome!
Well dropped off PBC and Ronack, and eventually got how around 1:30 AM. It was a blast and highly advise all of you to clear your schedules for next month's meeting, because there might be a really big surprise in store....
Jimmy Wong:
Hey guys, Dastardly Dylan, dominicanjay4lyf, and I had a great time at NAVA! I'm very sorry to the people who missed the event because of the weather. "Rock Band" was set up so we had a great time playing with other people. We also met other G1s! We even met James (AVGN)! He's a great guy. Dastardly Dylan and I took a picture with him. Since I didn't have my camera, a Ronack took the picture for us. Ronack, If your reading this please post the picture! Anyway, for the people who went to the event, what did you think of it?
2600:
NAVA was awesome. It was great meeting and talking with PBC and Ronack as well as Coldguy, Mike, the guy with the gameboy camera, and (insert two peoples names whose I forgot). The Hack of River Raid was awesome for competition. The store is one of (if not the best) gaming stores I have ever seen. Joe was really cool and everyone should be extremely thankful that he puts stuff on like this for everyone to get together and hang out (plus buying pizza for everyone was just pure insanity). I am looking forward ot the next meeting and hope everyone shows up.
Some pictures have been posted up as well, you can see some of the pics in "My Pictures" than go to "NAVA Meetings" and there ya go! for other people who attended the event's pictures, check them out here

Devon is really a human cartoon character and he does that in life everyday. Your controller would be worth a hundred since there is no "official" count of it, but it is a tough one since they only sold it for 4 months. Also that was the same way I discovered NAVA, via John and Lance on Youtube, thank goodness I went because I have not stopped since. Oh the giant pretzel box was due to the "G1" flux in people, I normally bring 50 instead of 100. Also bring games down next time, that is how I make money to buy the things in the store, its my secret plan.

I would but as I said, I had a house fire in 99' so I'm looking to replace ones that I've lost and I don't have many games I want to part with. The only ones I would part with, I don't think anybody would want.
Spikeout Battle Street anybody....:(
