So for all that have played this game, what are your thoughts?
I ask because IGN gave this game a 4.0.

2d games on PS2 and on usually get shit on by the modern game reviewers. Ignore it. I still haven't tried it yet but, I still can't see this game fitting a 4 very well.

I did a quick search on gamestop's website and found it. Under developer and publisher though it says gamestop.com. It also says Shooter, I thought this was an RPG?

Not an RPG, it's a top down self-scrolling shooter. Think back to Ikari Warriors, Commando, Guerilla War, or better yet, KiKi Kai Kai, the license this game is based off of. There were also two SNES entries in this series, made by Natsume, called Pocky & Rocky, as well as a GBA release.

I read IGN's review and they had some valid criticisms. I wouldn't give it a "4" either, but it's a pretty mediocre game overall. $14.99 is the perfect price.

The game is average at best. Could have been better with some polish…
Either way I am happy with my game and it is nice to see sprite based 2d game come out these days and times…
For a cheap game, it is good enough but by far not the best thing to come on the PlayStstion 2…even for 2d game playing.

It is appear that this is to be ported to the Nintendo Wii…

I bought a copy at a GS today. I heard that they received two copies of it and the other one was picked up by another employee.

4.0 is a little harsh. More like 6.0.
It's not going to set the world on fire even compared to other 2D shooter games, but it's competent and fun in small spurts. And difficult as a mother in certain spots.

The game is on Wii now as well. Saw this at work earlier today for $19.99.
