I have an FC Twin and have a question about how it handles NES saved games. I remember a while back reading in the instructions for the original NES that when your had a battery backed saved game, you were supposed to push and hold the RESET button and then turn the power off in order to avoid corrupting the saved game. My question is: do you have to follow the same procedure with the FC Twin, or any of the other NOAC systems for that matter?

you know im not sure about this, ive always questioned the validity of that reset power off procedure, i have heard some accounts of peoples saves being deleted when not using it but then again i have never in my tens of thousands of power offs lost a single save. im going to say though if your scared about losing your saves you might as well use the same procedure.

Well, I actually got un-lazy and tried it out. I can't find my FC Twin controllers, but I was able to use an SNES controller. I tried it without holding the reset, and it appeared to be okay. I do remember in the past losing my Zelda save and I actually had to read the directions to get it to work. Maybe it is just a function of the Zelda game since this time I was using Dragon Warrior IV.

I've never had a problem with losing a save on my FC Twin. Granted it does not get very much play time, but still has never been an issue for me.
