I just checked ebay for boxed NES's. I found an action set for $50.

The box is in great condition but there are no manuals/posters. Even so, I remember seeing nice boxed NES's going for no less than $180. Well over $100 for even a shitty box. Is it the season or have these gone down in value?

I got a boxed action set for $60.00 three years ago. Of course everyone who sees it assumes it's worth a fortune.;)

What about games? Is it worth hunting down CIB over a cheap but pristine cart-only?

I've never seen a boxed Action Set go for over $100 unless it's got everything, including the plastic wrap for the cords and the systems. I've been watching them for about 4 years. Now, the original NES set with ROB, etc, that's another story.

Boxed nes systems are easier to find than most people realize. 50-100$ seems about right (depending on set and condition), but over 100$ is too much.

I got a boxed NES with zapper two years ago for $50.00. It included everything and the box was in great condition.

Since then I've thrown out the box :(

It is also seasonal too, Christmas time everyone one wants to give a Nintendo to someone, so prices tend to be higher.

That's because they didn't get GAG - the Game Authority Goons - to grade their boxed NES and make it shoot up in value once it's a GAG 9.6+ grade! If only people all got their things graded the world would be full of flowers and light and happiness!

$50 - $100 is crazy, On the other hand, here in Europe PAL NES boxed usually go dirt cheap, here's one going for $15 (1 day to go, might go up to $20):

But US NES Action Packs are nothing when compared to XEGS lightguns (unboxed), wtf:

I can't get no more then $59.99 for an a complete Action Set..It's really a waste for me to sell them.

.If ever I see a set for sale at a flea market it's $50.00 and may be missing things.

I have several different NES boxed sets.,I gotta ask Joe/DP what's the trade in value on them.

One thing I might add is that's not a very desirable box...the older generation, especially the one with the grey gun on the box sell for more.
