I posted photos from the June NAVA:

Flickr - Digital Press, Clifton, NJ 6/28/08 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/goodrob13/sets/72157605879703102/)

EDIT: As you can see, I got to take a picture with James (AVGN), which was great!

I also like some of the artwork featured throughout the store. Joe, where did you get the Atari stuff hanging from the ceiling near the entrance?

I've had those forever. I'm pretty sure I got them in a Woolworth circa 1984. Most of them still have the price stickers on them! I had them laid out flat in a box for years and thought that spot in the front of the store was PERFECT for hanging 'em. I think they look great.

You're welcome. Thanks for putting the event together!

Some people go to your store for the games, but I go for the art. I've always loved the old Atari 2600 paintings.

Not much to look at, I was going to take lots and lots of pictures this month but I was having too much of a damn good time with the Nerd, PBC, and DP members.

Thank you to Joe for the event and the chance to say hello to the AVGN. Unfortunately we had to leave right after that.

For my first time visiting DP, and my first NAVA, I have to say it was pretty cool. I didn't expect that the crowd was going to be so large (judging from the previous NAVA pictures, it looked like 2 to 3 times as many people showed up)!

NAVA was awesome, I'm definitely going to next month's session again.

Exactly when did the nostalgic critic come to the event, because I left right around when the nerd went behind the counter to sign some autographs. I knew I should have stayed but my friend had to go to a party.

*kicks myself in the back of the head*

At least I got my autograph and photo of the nerd though, and got my Friday The 13th for 99 cents. :rocker:

I'll be posting a blog post about my time at NAVA once again, it's going to be pretty amazing.

EDIT: What image code does MySpace Blog's take? I've been trying to put pictures in it and it won't show up on HTML or IMG!

The event was ace and there was a great vibe at the store. This being my second NAVA I was pleased to find that nothing was stolen from the box this time! Thanks are in order to Joe who recommended a bear trap as a security measure for the event:)

Can't wait to see the Triple Bypass Mac 'N Cheese at the next event.

Video I put together from the event on Saturday

Good job on the video. Mike (the guy in the yellow shirt) was clearly buzzed ("It's all about the Nerd!") but the little bits of interview you got on the side are great. Plus, the video of the road heading towards the store might help people find it. I get a call almost every day "I can't find your place" because the address says Piaget Ave but the building is really right on Route 46.

He stormed in about an hour after James.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video. I showed up late due to personal things during the day, but I was at least able to get some interesting discussions with James and some store footage. I had my GPS with me, so finding the place wasn't too complicated. You're more than welcome to use the video for people to find the place (I can cut it up for you if you'd like).

I'm glad I was there to get between them, and confuse the whole internet as to who the short guy with the blue coat was trying to fight the Nerd and the Critic.

Seriously, though, this NAVA was the best one yet. Thanks to Joe and the DP staff for a smooth event. My biggest hope is that all of those people who came to see James will now come back to Digital Press and NAVA again, regardless of whether or not he's there.

Hell yeah, it made it alot more epic. What I'm wondering though is when James and the NC planned it out were you originally supposed to be in the fight? or it just happened that day, it caused confusion to many but it was still awesome.

EDIT: My blog about the event is now up! The only thing I didn't know is what image code MySpace blog's take, if someone can fill me in on what code it is it would be greatly appreciated

James told me about Doug coming a few weeks back, and asked if I wanted to be involved, since the event was technically for ScrewAttack, PBC, and DP.

EDIT: I also forgot to thank Frankie and Lis for both their amazing cake in honor of the Starcade, as well as their hilarious TV commercial. The height of class, my friends.

The cake ... was not ... a lie. (But the fondant might have been a bit thick.)

Oh yeah, I'm definitely coming back , I remember seeing those TurboGrafx games for sale, I want to get in on some of those and fire up the good ol' PC-Engine Duo system that I only use to play CD games. Maybe some of those 3DO games as well. :)

The cake came out awesome, and it tasted as good as it looked too! Great work with the cake and the cupcakes too! Hopefully if it's not too hot in July, it'll be alright to bring my Mac. I'm glad I didn't make it because I got very hot in the front of the store. If not, I'll try to bring something else.

Just got off the phone with Gerard and he said one of the videos is almost ready, just needs the right music and he should be submitting it to Revver tonight. Let's just hope it'll upload correctly.

If you can wait one more day I'll have the "official" video online. The quality of the above recording is very poor, there's some dude's head in the way half the time. Worth watching because there are a few side interviews but for the game show itself I'd hang in there a little longer.

Thanks for the kind words, I'll let Gerard know you liked it. I told him to hold off on the video so I could find the Tom Nook Store song from Animal Crossing. I also liked the touches with the actual Animal Crossing store standee and the portable game rack...thing.. Don't know what you call that.

The other two videos are up as well. We ran out of tape when James did his run on The Simpsons, but we got the comments after the game was over.

Hey everyone,

The Nostalgia Critic/That Guy With The Glasses's brother has put a blog on his site telling us the epic journey it was by car to Digital Press and Back

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/articles/the-other-guy/58-the-oher-guy/562-the-epic-battle-travel-log

Hour 3 and 45 minutes -- Someone made cake! One was a fondant covered Nintendo cartridge. That Guy got the last slice. Victory is ours! The other was Mario. Out of anti-Nerd spite, I ATE MARIO'S HEART. That way I could assume his superpowers. Can't say I feel any different... but have an insatiable craving for mushrooms.

Yeah, did I forget to mention I spiked the batter? And I reminded myself, too. I always forget the most important details.:grrr:

It took me longer than anticipated but I finally got all of my videos and Game Boy Camera pictures posted online. Now be aware the videos I took all revolved either around the Angry Video Game Nerd signing stuff or talking and Starcade. Also be aware I posted all of the hour and half worth of video I took at NAVA online unedited in three parts so it is not a lot to watch unless you like hearing me talking to Pedro [or as he is known on here OMF2097. It was lovely meeting you by the way! Please check your private message box ;)] or Joe as the AVGN makes his way around the store.

Anyone who met me at NAVA and has a Xbox Live gamertag please be sure to PM it to me or send it my e-mail at supergoldzero (at) gmail.com. It is a really fun NAVA and I can’t wait for the next one.

Note: I accidentally posted the same link twice but I fixed that now.
