Agree with the last sentence. If your only desire in life is to achieve fame, the last thing you want to do is go to school or get a real job.

The best way to become moderately famous these days is to make it on a reality tv show (which almost guarantees you "work" forever on VH1), become a celebrity through YouTube or start up a popular web site.

It may only be 15 minutes of fame in some cases but it is still fame.

Aren't 2/3 of the people who start sites like MySpace, Facebook, etc. just dropouts anyway?

I've made it clear on this web site more times than I can count that I don't find the AVGN "funny" and that isn't because I don't "get" his humor. Because I do. I just don't like that style of humor.

The other thing is that he sells an awful lot of merchandise and presumably gets a little money for lending his name to events, services or products, all of it as a direct result of posting a few videos on YouTube.

I do give him credit for finding a niche and putting a lot of work into his videos. But unfortunately, AVGN's success deludes a lot of naive people into assuming they can easily do the same thing he did.

This is not a new phenomenon. I fail to see how "posting a few videos on youtube" is any different than getting some buddies together in a garage, playing four chords, and being in the right place at the right time. The only difference is now you've got instant exposure if you do make it big, rather than years of climbing up the performance ladder.

I say their is definite improvement over the videos, but the cursing is just distracting. Maybe instead of throwing out strange AVGN style phrases (which I do not believe really help his or your videos) make a conscious effort to focus on flaws or something people really have a problem with in a game. I really did not care for AVGN that much until he started cutting down on the swearing and focused on the actual gameplay/level design more. I believe their is more of a fan base if you focus on the actual game and not the theatrics.

Sorry man, your editing is quite good, but apart from that your reviews are really painful to watch. It seems like you've completely missed what makes Angry Video Game Nerd entertaining; his stuff is informative and his anger is funny and (mostly) doesn't feel forced.

It seems like you want genuine feedback but when you get it you ignore the most important part; nobody wants another bad AVGN rip-off. Be yourself, quit trying to be someone else and then people can't rip you for being a blatant copy.

2. You need to work on your vocals, you sound bored and have a "oh how dreeaaadful" dramatic tone when you speak. It pretty much sounds like you have a cold when you speak, try breathing through your nose.

Its not that you shouldnt swear, you just need to learn how and when to use it. if you insist on continuing this series drop the whole angry/comedy angle and just give the games serious reviews.

we already have the the avgn (who isn't that great, anyway) so why do we need avgn jr? you are a rip off and a bad one, at that.

Go watch my Donkey Kong review then. Maybe you'll like that one better. It's more serious. That Brawl review is just a revision of an old review.

Seriously, you gotta love this guy. It's like he lives in another dimension or something; his own little world, where his videos are THE shit, he's always right, and we're all just a bunch of morons who sadly cannot see the light of his awesome awesomeness.
