Folding@home for PS3

I installed this on my PS3 to check it out, but I decided that I don't want to waste electricity and wear out my PS3. Does this run in the background automatically, or only when I specifically start the program? I hope it doesn't run when my system is powered off in standby mode.

Nothing can run when any computer (including game consoles), are in standby mode. ;) CPU is essentially sleeping, but not actually off.

It only runs when you have Life with Playstation / Folding @ Home on.

Too bad. The DP F@H team could definitely use more people.

And second off, F@H uses less power than watching a DVD or playing a game. And it won't 'mess up' your PS3.
