I've often thought about picking up a Wonderswan Crystal or Swancrystal for a few games in particular (Rockman & Forte, Golden Axe & Ghosts 'n Goblins), but could anyone else recommend non RPG games for the Wonderswan? What other games are playable if you can't read Japanese?

Outside of eBay, any place on the web I should check for the actual system and or games?

Guilty Gear Petite 2 for sure if you're at all into fighters. Beyond being a fantastic fighting game on its own, it plays perfectly guilty gear, and makes all those fighters on the NeoGeo Pocket Color look like a joke imo.

Actually, the WS made the NGPC look pretty sad period, great little machine :)

Maybe something with texts in English?

Wuz up b? Produce: Street Dancer for WonderSwan is in English language. It is obviously a game about dance, you need to rotate the device to play the various stages.

Appreciate the recommendations guys. I picked up a complete boxed WS Color last night on Yahoo! Japan for a mere 100 yen...so I guess I'm officially diving in head first. Now to pick up a few games...

Exxxxcellent! The B&W swans and the original colors can be had cheap as chips if you don't mind loose. Same with the games, camp on Y!A and you'll find all kinds of loose games for practically nothing. Though if you're bidding on boxed swan games there you're probably competing with me :)

its nice to see that you bought a system. i will say it would be worth the extra money in the future for a wonderswan crystal though due to its quality of screen compared to the color.

I wanted the Crystal, but I couldn't pass up placing a bid in the last few minutes for the WS Color since the opening bid was only 100 yen and it was complete.

Got the notice today that I won a complete boxed Klonoa for 1500 yen on Y!JA...after the stupid third party fees it cost me $50 so I hope the game is as good as everyone says it is!

Man am I pissed. Got my package today from Japan w/ my Wonderswan Crystal and it doesn't power on. I put in my newly acquired Klonoa game and nothing. I replaced the Sony AA battery inside w/ a new battery and still nothing. I noticed on the underside of the battery it says to use rechargeable batteries. Could that have anything to do w/ the system not powering on? Or did I buy a dead system?

Anywhere I can find a cheap WS Color console since mine appears DOA? I'm tempted to pick up the B&W WS since there are only a handful of games I want. I read some color games can play on the B&W console, but I can't find a list of those games on the 'net. Anyone know?
