I think the basement could use some entertainment (aside from Mike telling stories). Is it working?

That or plug in the Smash TV cabinet. From what I remember the Mr. Do one has stuff on top of it.

I'm not going to make a joke to keep this thread going.

I've got a funny joke, about what I could do in the basement, but I think I've made enough obscure references in this thread already.

We can each do a reading from Leonard's latest manuscript.

Oh, wait...

Two of the "many levels" I refer to.

1) They don't have a long drive to the store. Shorter than MY drive.

2) There are always plenty of "old hands" there. Even Greg, still coming from NYC, has been to 3 or 4 NAVA's this year.

Bonus "level": Achika's Mr. Do! arcade cab is still sitting in my basement. I think it's been a year now. Still waiting for someone to cart it away, I could really use the space.

December's announcement due in t-minus 24 hours.

Oh shit, Mr. Do! Sweetest game ever. Man, *I* would take that shit if I had any way to get it here.

Does she know Greg and John and the like pop in to NAVAs periodically? Hell, if you didn't mention it I'd assume they didn't, since I mostly see messages on the forum about it from people I don't know!

And hey, a drive is a drive. like I've said, it's 40 minutes to Robotron's pad for me. Not necessarily a long drive, but it's not one I'm always feeling inclined to make, especially if it's a day I feel like being lazy, or already have plans in place. Hell, there was a game night not too long ago here where a fellow from Battle Creek came in to play SF2 with everyone. A damn good player, too. I didn't go even though my drive, a half hour, was much shorter than his 3-4 hour one. Didn't feel like playing.

I can't necessarily defend her reasoning - she'd have to do that herself - but I just don't think it's THAT horrendous an affront. Hell, she's pretty inactive in the gaming community in general now, I think!

It doesn't bother me that they don't come anymore. Life happens. It bothers me that either of them would say "old hands" would get them there when those people show up more often than they do. It's also interesting to see their XBox Live handle pop online during a NAVA. I could go on, but I still consider them my friends and I miss seeing them. I guess the bottom line is that I wish they felt the same way.

Dickerdoodles would take away the pain.

Seeing a new manuscript from Leonard would help ease the pain, too.

Makes sense; though if I recall the message was more about her regretting not going and seeing everyone more than not going because she didn't think they showed. I can't really double check, my phone only stores so many texts ;p

Perhaps a reminder of the upcoming one is in order ;)
