It's 2:50 am and I just found my common sense....well, some of it anyway. I just picked up:

Burnout Paradise(360)
Conan(360)
Devil May Cry 3(PS2)
Dead or Alive movie
Beowulf movie
Little Wayne cd
Dead Rising(360)

These were my black friday finds but since they were ordered online they haven't arrived yet. I will add picks and prices as soon as they get here.

Saturn games from a local Kijiji ad:

Galactic Attack
Fifa 96
Fighting Vipers
Gungriffon
Dark Legend
Big Hurt Baseball
Battle Monsters
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei
NHL All Star Hockey
MYST
Virtua Racing
Skeleton Warriors
Shanghai Triple Threat
Sega Rally Championship
X Revolution or Revolution X - The areosmith game
Nights Into Dreams
Virtual On Cyber Troopers
Command and Conquer
Croc - loose
Romance of the 3 Kingdoms 4 Wall of Fire - loose
Warcraft 2 Dark Saga - loose

Also, I'm guessing, an import CD and a cartridge for the Saturn with Japanese writing on it. If you can identify these let me know, I'm curious.

The whole thing was $10. I emailed the guy within 15 minutes of him posting and got an email back half an hour later stating that if I wanted them I'd have to come right away since he'd been flooded with emails. Luckily, I was the first :D

After posting about finding a R.O.B. cheap at my local thrift store that was missing it's gyros in the November Finds thread, I found one of the gyros there today for .49. Now, only one more to go ^^.

I found one of those DVD disks for PS2 that came with the remote at Value Village for 50 cents. Not sure exactly what it does, and I only have a slim PS2, but for 50 cents what the hell.

A model 2 NES always makes for a nice first-day-of-the-month find! A Dogbone and power pad don't hurt, either!

http://home.comcast.net/~evanwink/images/games/Finds/finds133a.jpg

Add in 67 games, and with an $80 price tag for all of it, and I'm pretty happy.

http://home.comcast.net/~evanwink/images/games/Finds/finds133b.jpg

Highlights for me/my collection include North & South, Mig 29 (mint), Tom & Jerry, Super Team Games, Gray Zelda (my first, strangely), and probably more. Also a bunch of the usual, but nice suspects: SMB 2, SMB3 (x2), both Punchout versions, Contra, Castlevania, etc, etc.

Not really a find, but I picked up Wii Okami, new, off Amazon last Friday for $15 shipped.

That cartridge is the 1 MB RAM cartridge that came with some of the Saturn import games made by SNK. It or an equivalent cartridge (like the Action Replay) is required for your mystery game there, which is the Saturn port of Samurai Shodown 3 (or Samurai Spirits 3, whichever you prefer).

GameStop is moving out all GB and GB Color games for 75% off... add that to my 10% off GameStop card and that makes SUPER cheap games!

Everything in the pic added up to just under $500... after the discounts? $74 :D

One or two R5's, some R4's... mostly R1's and R2's.

Spotted an unusual Donkey Kong box in my local thrift today, and it turned out to be a minty and complete Donkey Kong Game & Watch. The box literally looks like new, I still can't believe nobody else had snatched it up. The game had no batteries, so I haven't verified that it works, but the system appears to be in excellent condition as well. I'll upload pics when I get a chance.

Also found a Mario Kart DD (GCN) complete for $10 and Gran Turismo 2 complete for $1.

EDIT - Forgot to mention the Game and Watch was $10. Now with pictures.

I was looking through the local thrifts trying to find something for a christmas party, when I spotted something familiar sticking out of a box. I pulled it out and found myself holding an giant sized Shadow the Hedgehog doll. The reason why it looked familiar is because I already own a regular sized version of this plush. Anyway, it was three bucks so I bought him.

In the next thrift I went to I found SUIKODEN II mixed in with the music cds. But here's the crappy part: somebody stole the @$%&* game disc!!! The cashier let me have the case and manual for free, but still, I'm ticked off that someone would rip off a thrift store!

That's happened to me a few times but at flea markets. It sucks when you pick up something rare only to find out the disk or cartridge is missing.

...stupid vendor sent me way more than I agreed to order but only charged me for what I agreed to. :) The invoice in the box is correct to what I ordered / paid and everything was properly checked off and signed out. :? I figure it's good karma paying me back after the moron went back on our original agreement. This is mostly leftovers (again, I was sent way more than I eventually ended up requesting) from what I bought for family and friends for Christmas. I'll have a Buying and Selling thread for this up after work tomorrow evening.

I'm going through a rough stretch here lately. Middle Tennessee is nasty right now on games:

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes NES $4.99
Pinball NES $Free
Little League Baseball NES $Free
River City Ransom NES$4.99
Ultima: the false prophet SNES $9.99
Rad Racer NES $2.99

Part of a local Buy 2 get 1 sale... I've been itching to get some new titles that I actually WANT, but prices have been outrageous! Saw a beat up cart only copy of Lufia and the Fortress of Doom- $59.99. same store had both Super Mario World and Megaman X for 39.99 each. can't catch a break, plus the thrifts are drying up lately too. better luck next weekend

Oh, and Gamestops have a lot of good Gameboy games around here, but the rare ones are like $9 each. They are desperate enough to be saying that they want to get rid of them, but not desperate enough to lower the prices.

The Space Bar, the Mickey Mouse Game & Watch and the Videosuite 7 thing were $6 for all.
The Nam game was $2.
The Office 97 was $5.

I also found this for cheap...

Pictured: Saturn deck, Nights control pad, S-Video cable (came in box), 1MB Ram cart, 1 MB Memory Cart. Not pictured: A Saturn Multitap (also silver colored). I suspect that the previous owner painted the system somehow. The bottom of the system is silver... including the Saturn warnings. The thing works fine, but it's Japanese. I have no Saturn games so I can't test it, but the backup cart has a TON of Japanese game saves on it, including Ys, Dead or Alive, and Nights....

It could be worse. My nearest Gamestop is fresh out of all GB and GBC stuff. I'm not even sure it all sold, though. So I don't think anybody picked it clean before I could make it in.

What those assholes from this particular Gamestop location tend to do is ship stuff of this nature to other (bigger) Gamestop stores, which is just what they did with their last remaining PS1 and N64 games when those were put on a final clearance. We don't even get a chance to take full advantage of a lot of their 75% off sales.

I could have lived with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen GBC garbage for $1 a pop.

It is painted, or at least the bottom half is. The Nights pad has a bit of tape on it and a missing screw. It works fine, though.

I'm probably going to trade it away. I was hoping this would be easy to mod, but no such luck... I would LOVE to own a Saturn with a region mod, but I also want to be able to play backups for... other purposes. >_>

I found 4 Channel F carts for .99 each at Value Village (first time ever seeing channel f items in the wild), lookied everywhere for a system to go with them but none was to be found. The carts are 3 (video blackjack), 4 (spitfire), 9 (drag race), and 12 (baseball). Cart 3 has a loose something in the cart like some atari games get and they all look good. Hopefully I'll catch a system in the next couple days there otherwise they'll be available to those looking for channel f games.

I noticed that the Saturn you got has oval shaped buttons just like the first model released in the US. If it's the same as the US model with oval buttons then you can't mod (or it's harder to mod, can't remember which it is) then a model 2 but you could easily set it up to be able to do a hot swap without any soldering.

I got tired of all you mofos posting your GB/GBC finds from Gamestop so I hit a few non-local GS's and found all these treasures. The majority will be hitting ebay but I'm open to all reasonable offers first. Notable titles include Castlevania Adventure(not pictured), 3 different Battletoad games, 2 different Zelda titles, an import Bomberman, Wario Land 1-3, 2 Mega Man titles, Harvest Moon, Pokemon Gold, Double Dragon 3 and so on. For those that are interested I left all the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen titles so you can still go back to retrieve those if you like:)

...

I got another Saturn today! A US Model 2. It's beat up but it ran fine, but it stopped working after a while so I'm not sure what's up with that. I took out the generic power cable and used my Dreamcast's and it worked again so who knows... If it keeps working fine I'll mod that sucka!

Hm, so I was browsing eBay last Saturday. Some store seller, Gamezforless, has been putting up copies of Zero: Mask of The Lunar Eclipse (Fatal Frame 4). Everytime I tried to win one, somebody would beat me at a much higher bid. ($25.99 is the last I can remember)
But, on this fateful day, I was online at the right time. Gamezforless had a copy up at the starting bid of $9.99. No one had bid yet. There were 8 minutes left until it ended!
With quick action, I clicked on the auction and began to wait. 4 minutes were left, and no bids. 2 minutes were left, and NO BIDS. The clock hit 24 seconds, and thinking another sniper was ready, I plugged in $15.99.
The clock ticked, and ticked.

It was over. And I won. $9.99 for a $64 game! A Japanese Wii game, no less!
I quickly paid with Paypal, and discovered 11 cents were in my account, making the total a mere $9.88! The seller was offering free First Class shipping, so that made the deal even sweeter.

This cool game arrived today, and brand-spanking new at that.

So, how do you think I did?

Nicely done, Kyle15! Now watch them finally announce a US localization...

Shipment from Amazon arrived today...

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness - $10
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time - $10
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (part 1) manga - $7.99

Not a bad haul. Not a fan of the mystery dungeon games, but I couldn't pass up a deal like that.

Nintendo Magazine Europe announced a release is happening, just not in America. So, a localization is possible, but not an American one it seems.
Playing games in Japanese is fun anyway, so I'll be fine even though a domestic release may never happen.
It would be crazy not to release such a game here, and by what I've played, it is worth a LOT more than $9.88 because of the creepiness factor alone.

Also, that's a pretty good find yourself. ;)

eBay luck was in the air last week I guess. I've been watching GCN Samurai Jack: Shadow of Aku for a long time trying to get a good deal. One came along recently that went a long time with no bids. Since I knew I wouldn't be around for the end, or I'd forget (as has happened before), I went ahead and punched in a few bucks. No one else bid, so I got it for 4.49 shipped. It came this week and is as described (far from perfect, but definitely good enough for me). Not a rare game, but seems to definitely be uncommon. Don't know if it is any good yet, but since I love the show, I'm sure I'll like it as long as it isn't totally broken.

Picked up a Turbo Grafx 16, with Turbo tap 2 controllers and 3 games for $15. I'm really happy about it but I need a power supply. Shoot me a PM if anyone has one for sale (I would like an original one).

The guy has a full szie Neo Geo in his house and we played it for a minute. He also has a Nintendo vs Arcade cabinet with vs Mario and Ice Climber and he wants 250 for it. I don't have the money though.

ran down to goodwill today since they had a 50% off sale. I found quite a few playstation 1 games. Nothing special only games like Shrek, 101 Dalmations, NHL 2000. But I look BEHIND the cassette tapes and found 2 lonely Playstation 1 games sitting there, 1 was Vandal Hearts 2 and the other was Resident Evil 3 which I already have but my friend is looking for it so it makes a great christmas present. Cost me less then 5 dollars with tax.

Nothing too special, but didn't cost much. 28 all told. Gyromite has a converter in it. The SMB Print World is pretty neat. Pirates and Max Payne are to play, B&W I played when pretty new, but it was a borrowed copy. I sure hope Diablo goes up in value someday, as I've been unable to pass up a bunch of them lately.

Heh, Abdur-Rahim was one of my favorite Blazers (the Hawks traded him for Rasheed Wallace) during the dark "Jail Blazer" era - mostly because he didn't embarrass himself off the court. I was collecting basketball cards when he was a rookie with the Grizzlies, and I probably still have a couple of them.
