All right, I won this cheap auction for a the game Dynamite Deka, known in the US as Die Hard Arcade. I noticed the CD art was different from the normal Japanese release so I decided to place a bid. Hoping it might be something rare.
However, the game doesn't work in my system, even though I have an Action Replay. I'm thinking if it were a proto or pressrelease I might need a special or modded system. Also, it could just be a bootleg of the game, which is why it won't play.
Ok, so here's what it looks like.

It has a weird cover art with SS-270 written at the bottom. There's no tiny lettering with SEGA written on the outside border of the disc like this guy's beta.

What seems bad is that there IS the back insert in the game case, although the case is white instead of the usual black. The insert looks like it was just printed out which leads me again to believe it's a copy. I was hoping maybe someone decided to print it out for their game not knowing it was a proto.
I checked the game in my computer, and it says it was last modified 3 months before the game was released, but I checked some of my other imports and they follow suit. I think it's just the last time the game was modified before being pressed, not the actual press date.
Is there any way I can find out for sure if this is a prototype, a pressrelease, or just a bootleg? I want to know for sure before I ask this guy for my money back, he advertised this as a working game and I don't like spending money on bootlegs... I'm curious to know what I bought.
Note: I forgot to add that it appears to be a version of the game, but I don't know what, because it has the soundtrack from the normal game and appears to have the game files on the disc.
