Question time:
Is Tokyuu Shirei Solbrain (the FC version of Shatterhand) worth getting? I already have Shatterhand.
I have it cib only if you want it for collectors sake. The only diffierence beside it's sentai theme is the change in a few levels that's all.

There's some good stuff in there. I would like the Legend of Kage one myself.
Discounting arcade flyers, I think my favorite handbill from my collection would be the one for Jackal. I believe I have one for Getsu Fuuma Den with a fold in it; also a pretty nifty flyer (although I would like to trade it up).

Is there actually a decent guide to famicom collecting? The DP one in the Database is pretty weak. I'd love to start collecting it more but would probably want to get several solid titles first but it's just blind buying for me since I don't have a guide as to what's released. I'd also like to get a guide as to cart and company styles, I can usually identify pirates now but still would like a reference. For instance Why is Jaleco's Lord of King in a larger cart than say Arguss or the rest or their games?

Hey FF, nice haul there! Looks like a few bootlegs mixed in, but if you collect to play its the same difference.
Rockman 4, Ikari, Double Dragon 3. Good games.

I own all the main video game consoles and portables in the world, from the Fairchild Channel F to the Nintendo Wii, and this includes foreign consoles such as the Famicom and Famicom Disk System. I only have a two games for the Famicom; Final Fantasy 2+3, because the North American titles are illogically numerical, and two games for the Famicom Disk System; Super Mario Bros. 2, because the North American one is a fake, and Doki Doki Panic, both bought brand new just a few months ago for very cheap.
I won two Famicom Disk Systems on eBay, and I actually gave the Angry Video Game Nerd one of them, which actually made an appearance in his Bible Games 2 review, which is pretty awesome.

:frustrated:
Get some of the JPN exclusives man - unless you hate yourself and don't like good games, I suppose. On the other hand, I guess this leaves more for me.
Not even going to touch the "I gave AVGN a system!" bit...

Yeah get some JP-exclusive games instead of being biased with only select games,in that way nobody would tell you that you're a narrow-minded gamer.:D
Actually i've got some bootleg Famicom carts here and they're mostly hacked versions or those in-one(210-in 1 for example) carts with lots of games(mostly Japanese Famicom game titles)..Though i won't recommend those cause they're not reliable and most of them are badly hacked or edited..

Ah I like collecting every console anyways....as for Famicom I buy them once in a while although a year ago I used to only buy famicom but then started to find some deals on cl and found consoles for cheap so I started on those. I'm still trying to track down some JP exclusive games so I'll have photos of them once I get them.

another
I like the "Whack a Mole" set you have pictured, would very
much like to find one of those as I always loved playing it at

The thought of so many cartridges never being touched again by human hands makes me all warm inside.
Anyhow, I emurated Crisis Force a bit recently; very ambitious for the time, but already at the first stage boss using the wide R-Type like ring laser thing causes the slowdowns. :sob:
I'll have to try this out on my A/V Famicom.
ProgAce tells me that the A/V FC's colors aren't right, too.
