Lately I've been collecting mainly C64 games. Most recent pickups include Ant Atack, Orc Attack, Airborne Ranger, and the Mars Saga. I also collect NES, Atari 2600/7800, Sega Master System, Genesis, ColecoVision, PS1, Amiga 500, and vintage PC games mainly from the early 90s.

I buy all kinds of console games if they look fun. I'm not trying to complete any libraries or anything like that, but I do buy a bit of everything... you just won't catch me buying some fun with numbers game just because I don't have it. If I buy, I intend to play it. I'm sitting at about 2000 or so games right now, no duplicates. In the last year, I started adding dedicated arcade cabinets like I always wanted as a kid, so that's been neat. Lately I've also gone after a lot of PC Engine HuCard games.

Most of all, I really like scrounging up unique oddball games to play with friends. The classics are great, but a little Choaniki or Zombies vs Ambulance really can make a wild night of gaming.

For some reason, I'm just really into NES. I think it's just the way the carts look...I don't know, but there is just something about them. I am also really into finding GameCube and N64 games (as I grew up on those two systems) and I absolutely love finding anything Pokemon related.

I've started collecting soccer games! Specifically on SNES, NES and Genesis I already owned quite a few on Genesis but in the last few days I've

Soccer (NES)
Goal! (NES)
Head on Soccer (SNES)
Super Soccer (SNES)

Plan on picking up World Cup (NES) and Megaman Soccer (SNES)

When I first got into it I started by buying up all the old games I had as a kid and loved, then I moved to the games I wanted but couldn't afford. Finally now I'll buy anything that is fun to play. If I don't think the game will be fun I won't buy it. I'll never go for a complete collection of anything as I don't see the point of buying games just to sit on a shelf.

I do like to have all the different consoles too. When I really started to get into it I went out and bought all the major consoles and then started to really grow the collection of games for them.

I mainly collect consoles, both home and handhelds. My focus is mostly Nintendo but I also have some Sega, Microsoft and Sony mixed in there as well. I have a decent library for each console but I also collect flash carts and play a lot of homebrew.

I collect mainly NES, SNES, N64, and gamecube. I was a Nintendo kid, so this is where my interest gravitates. I usually stay away from handhelds, unless it has to do with Pokemon. I'll buy Genesis games if I see them, but I don't go out of my way to collect them, per se.

Just games that I want to play. I don't do boxed copies unless I find no other options (although I did just buy Bomberman 64 (Japan) off of eBay in a boxed copy). Although even buying the bare cartridge gets expensive.

II've been doing black box cartridge variants for the past couple years. The search is the best part, a lot of variants are still unconfirmed. Some can be found for a buck, some can't be found for less than $50, and some simply can't be found. I also am obsessed with MINT (not minty) CIB NES games. It's interesting how the cardboard that the game boxes were made out of slowly but surely became cheaper with each new generation. The NES game box cardboard was stiff and sturdy, SNES was a bit thinner and wobblier, and N64 was just plain flimsy and frail.

There's something about 30 year old gem mint cardboard boxes that are mesmerizing. And NES has some great box art.

They took the place of the baseball card, all three dimensions of them. Huzzah!

I collect games for any system I have. I primarily focus on JRPGs, especially on the older consoles. They're not the only things I collect, but given options, I go towards JRPGS on my own.

I also collect random merchandise too. Amiibos took up a lot of my money for a while but I have all of them that I want now. Before that my obsession was getting original Japanese promotional posters for all the Kojima directed Metal Gear Solid titles (I'm talking about the posters that were hung up in shops to promote the games in Japan.) I have one for every entry in the series now, except Phantom Pain because those are still being used in shops.

Since these kind of things usually get tossed in the trash after the promotional cycle ends, they actually end up being nice little collector's items and fetch a pretty high price on Ebay (you are getting gouged on Ebay though). The MGS 3 poster was the most expensive, but the MGS: Integral was by far the hardest to get (probably the only time I've hunted for something for more than 8 months without losing interest.)

I'm going to get them all framed eventually, but these posters are all B2 paper size(19.7 inches x 27.8 inches). That's a common poster size for promotional posters in Japan but you cannot buy frames that size in the states, so they have to be made custom and there's not much reason to frame them if you don't have any empty space to hang them on, so that project is on hold until I move.

Import Sega Saturn software
Import PC-Engine HU/CD/SCD/ACD

Miscellaneous games series I follow, developers I enjoy across the board for other systems.
