I am an avid gamer who has 30+ systems from Atari to Xbox. I personally have some unhappiness building up inside me about what Microsoft has(or hasn't) done with their "experiment" Where are the games? I am sick of all these ports I am seeing on the system, with what seems delay after delay after delay. I am not going to wait a year inbetween good titles. Until then, I am going into my game room and play my Atari!!!!

CvS2 on xbox live = me happy.
No MvsC2 on Xbox Live = FUCK YOU! I'm still pissed over this, because this was definitely the last MvsC2 port ever. MvsCvsDCvsEverybody3 better be ported with net play or someone dies. Literally. I'm not standing up for this shit anymore. Take it out of the DC, fine. I'll deal. Don't even hint the PS2 port may get it, ummm. Tease and say Xbox will have it, so I buy a goddamn Magic Box to use my DC stick with it, and then pull the plug, ARGHHHH!
Sorry. Anger. Issues. And just fucking wait to hear me bitch if the next game sucks like the first MvsC did.
But yeah, after tinkering with Steel Battalion and Splinter Cell, my Xbox hasn't been used since December. I just got Pirates for it, so maybe it'll get some use if Pirates is as good as I've heard. If not, more dust for MS. :)

I like the scant few games I have (5) for it. But I almost never touch it. There just aren't many big releases. I get one here and there for it, but ultimately, it's collecting dust. All I have so far:
Shenmue 2
Panzer Dragoon Orta
GunValkyrie
Buffy
JSRF
There really isn't much else out I even WANT for it.....but I'll be getting Knights of the Old Republic....that one looks good.

I haven't played mine in way too long either. I tried PSO on it but the constant freezing made me trade it back in. I don't even play CvS that much anymore... Plus, the total and complete lack of RPGs hurts my chances of playing it.
...but it might just be my third computer. Linux is possible on XBOX...

I don't have one, and there aren't any games I'm really psyched about, but IMO it IS beating the gamecube, so it must be selling well, and have decent games. I haven't heard many people at all unhappy about owning one. Guess it just depends on what kind of games you like. (RPG's for me, and since there are what? 2 between the xbox and gamecube combined, I'm a little biased)

My Box is all I play pretty much. Yeah, alot of the games are ports, but that's just the way the industry works on todays market. However, when you get progressive scan AND 5.1 in nearly evey game, I'm sold. The ports, IMHO, almost always turn out the best on the Box. I can listen to my own music in most of my games? Plus hard drive save with no memory card?? Yep.

I must admit though, going through Tony Hawk or racing games while listening to Andrew W.K. is pretty damn nifty.

Of the 3 current consoles, my favorite is definately the Xbox.
I haven't touched my PS2 in months, and I haven't used my GC for a little while.
It all depends on your taste.
For me, playing online is a huge deal. I've spent practically the entire weekend playing Mechassault online. There are plenty of great games for the Xbox, but the selection of games will not suit everyone's tastes. I've had my Xbox for about six months and I already have 16 games for it.
I honestly feel that the system was designed the best, with gaming in mind, and left with options for improvement.
-Ripping your CD's to the hard disk and playing your own tunes in games
-HDTV, Widescreen and 5.1 support in most games
-Superior online experience to other consoles
Regardless though, everyone has different tastes, and as a result, everyone will have different opinions on which console is the best/their favorite.
For me though, the Xbox has done things right.

I play the Xbox the most too.
My most played games are Sega GT, Steel Battalion, Project Gotham and Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and Mechassault.
I'm looking forward to Crimson Skies and the next Steel Battalion and Secret Weapons over Normandie.

I have three games Halo, Gunvalkyrie, and JSRF...I hate Gunvalkyrie, I beat JSRF, and I can only play so much Halo. It's not that I hate the xbox, it's jut that I want games for other systems more. I have a bad feeling my xbox will be seeing a lot of dust until Halo 2 comes out. Or maybe I can make my way to Blockbuster nd check out some other games.

I play Halo almost every weekend with friends. I also really like Return To Castle Wolfenstein. Jet Set Radio Future is one I play often too. I'd like to see some more games, but I have logged many hours of enjoyment so no complaints here.

I'm quite happy with mine. I don't have a lot of games, but then I'm really picky when it comes to modern games. As for delays and such, you have to remember that every system gets that. You just hope that the delays are worth it.

It upsets me because the potential of the Xbox is being wasted away. I am getting really sick of the FPS genre, yet it almost all that the XBox is good for these days.
My collection:
NHL2K3
JSRF
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Halo
Steel Battalion
I've played it. And, I like the Sega games that are made for it. I can't wait for NHL2K4. Fable still looks amazing, and Halo 2 is a must-buy if there ever was one. Sadly, almost everything I am looking forward to has been pushed to 2004. It has about 2-3 good games a year, which is okay, but Microsoft really needs to get on its ass and do something about the third party support. It gathers the most dust out of my modern systems.

I'm not mad at all. It's not my favourite console currently (that would be gamecube) but it was for a brief time, right after I got it.
I do find it disappointing that not much good exclusive stuff comes out for it. If I had to choose only one console I wouldnt' even consider Xbox at this point - why bother when I can get the same games on the other consoles? The fact that they might look better is totally moot.
It's reminding me a bit of the N64, except without the good 1st party content. I loved my N64 at the time but the lack of good stuff to purchase was appaling. This time around that role is definitely the Xbox's in my mind.

It's very cool and awesome but there needs to be more awesome games like wolfenstein and MechAssault and etc and etc and etc .... but otherwise,It's very cool especially with xbox live and games that have support for it.

It's the one current console I don't have at the moment. I may pick one up later though, but probably when they are on clearance after Xbox 2 comes out. Halo and Panzer Dragoon Orta look neat.
Cheers,

I am pleased to hear that my "Xbox" Steel Battalion player is also capable of playing other "games". I shall have to obtain some of these other "games".
But seriously, Serious Sam is great, Gunvalkyrie is cool, Halo is pretty good, and I've got Silent Hill 2 and Munch's Oddysee waiting in the bullpen, too. Plus, I'm gonna pick up Max Payne any day now, and I'm considering Unreal Championship and Mechassault as soon as I get Live. So what's the big problem?

Xbox is currently my favorite because I've gotten so many cheap games lately. If you're looking for something different, try Phantom Crash. It's weird as hell, but it's like Mechassault crossed with Gran Turismo. That's my fave Xbox title right now. I also love Serious Sam, Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller, and Airforce Delta right now. Call me crazy...

I wouldn't say crazy at all. (I forgot about the XBOX version of Sam, I'll have to start a Serious Sam collection sometime...) Airforce Delta Storm is awesome...can you spot/hear the two vehicles and music from (in order of appearance) Twinbee and Gradius?
