I just remembered Bowling for the Atari 2600. I used to play that game all the time. It was a lot of fun.

10 great NES sports games:

You're wrong. The Atari 2600's CPU is a 6507 running at 1.19 MHz. The 6507 is an 8-bit microprocessor from MOS Technology, Inc.

wow thats news to me I knew the 5200, 7800, 400/800/XE/XL/etc were 8bit I really didn't think 2600 was. especially since the sg1000 was 4bit (at least I read that but im probably wrong again) and had better graphics and was released a few years later.

It certainly is 8-bit. Get your facts straight before you say something offensive.

Sorry but i wasn't trying to be offensive though I was simply asking why people would post 2600 if they are not 8 bit but I now know that it is 8 bit. You got a point though I really shouldn't of said anything since I don't know even know what bits are

Anyway in that case I can name some more 8bit sports games. Enduro, Fishing Derby, Dragster, Ice Hockey and Realsports Tennis for 2600 are decent. also pole position 2 for 7800

The Sega SG-1000's CPU is a 3.6 MHz NEC 780C, which is a clone of the Zilog Z80. The Zilog Z80 is an 8-bit microprocessor. :)

I remember Enduro being quite impressive for its time. My sister and I used to play Fishing Derby too, but it probably hasn't aged well.
