Have I gone crazy? 8 extra 2600's!

I was trying to clean up my video area and I decided to go out and dig around in my garage and see how many extra systems I have. I found I have 8 Atari 2600's, 1 bally arcade, 3 colecovisions, 3 genesis, 2 snes and 2 nes. Is this normal to have this many extras? I like to try to have a backup but I think I over did it on the 2600's! Then again I cannot turn down any Atari in the wild. I also have around 12 wico sticks and a for some reasons I have twice as many pairs of controllers as I have 2600's. Where did the rest of the machines go. What the heck do you do with your extra systems? Bad picture but what the heck.

I'd say that's normal for a collector. Getting systems you have no use for is par for the course when hitting the garage sale and flea market circuit. You might only need 1 or 2 games out of that 2600 lot, but since it is only $10 you might as well get the whole thing.

Haven't counted recently, but I think I have like 30 2600s, 3 to 10 each of 5200, 7800, CV, ADAM, Intv, O^2, Vectrex, NES...

It's normal to me..

I do the same thing...My closets are filled with exta systems..and The Atari 2600's take up a great deal of it....
I do collect 2600's for any variation they may have.
I try and get a boxed system and keep it spare for every unboxed system I own..or if I can get lucky and have two boxed.. :D
I can't pass up extra systems,,,,, providing they are cheap enough...and I find myself buying a box of stuff because I want just one or two items in the box..
This has caused several spare systems in the years to be in my possession..with 4 boxed Odyssey 2's taking up a ridiculous amount of space and two Steel Battalions..Those boxes are huge.

I'm about to hit the Flea market this morning..I woke up and I thought..
"Shoot If I get some spare systems today..Where am I going to put them".
I'm Running out of room...But I know I'm not going to pass up anything worthwhile this morning.....

I wouldn't be too worried about it, it's pretty normal. ;)

I've got the same problem. Counting clones and my recent find I have 3 2600jrs, 2 wood grains, 2 geminis, and a 'vader. I'm almost ready to dump the extra systems.

NES is not quite as bad. I have 2 loose and 1 boxed system. Likewise with the master system, I have 1 boxed, 1 SMS II, 2 loose. 2 coleco's, 2 intys (model I and II), 4 or 5 genesis'.

If I were you I'd keep a couple of spares and get rid of the extras. That's what I do every few months.

Bah, I just started collecting recently, and I've yet to find any good places to find stuff. Therefore, I've yet to find even 1 2600. Le sigh.

It depends, because here there are collectors that have only one console, maybe 2, because the machines are very expensive. One example is me, that i only had 2 similar machines (SMS)
