Hey folks, do any of you collect Watara Supervision games? I have about ten, and was considering opening them, but am hesitant due to the style of packaging. They come in a generic plastic clamshell package with a cardboard art insert inside of it. To open it, you pretty much have to cut or tear apart the clamshell.
Those of you that collect these, what did you end up doing? Cutting open a slit around the game cart to just pull it out? Discard the entire clamshell and just keep the art insert? I don't usually have a problem with opening sealed games, but this is a bit different than just cutting a slit in shrinkwrap.

I obtained a nice lot of supervision stuff this last year, and I would just keep them packaged and not open them. I am not for sealed games nor do I prefer sealed games, but something as obscure as these I would keep packaged.

I always preferred to buy up the European releases, with the cardboard boxes, and slice those open. Opening the USA releases', all snug in their "anti-theft" Chinese plastic is always a pain in the arse -- and only really useful if you want a clean scan of the paper insert (which is usually ripped or in the least, bent, during the opening process).
For some deranged reason, I've collected all of the Supervision games except three. And I've played them all. Extensively. I can tell you from personal experience that the pain of opening the plastic cases is nothing compared to the pain of actually _playing the games_. Seriously, they're pretty awful. Especially the stuff by Bon Treasure. A lot of the games are unfinishable. And others lie about their length and / or features. A real rip-off job, no question.
Still. Despite it all, I am obsessed with the Supervision. I'll never know why. I brought it along with me on the ride to E3, one year. I play it when the power goes out. I'm just a silly gamer...

I had a Supervision for a while, but both of the games I had for it were loose. I really kind of enjoyed Crystball, for some reason, but Eagle Plan was a sorry excuse for a plane game.
