This is a great reason for me to get all of my controllers out and finally organize/categorize them. I've got 6 3-drawer plastic bins full of controllers, plus 1 under-the-bed bin full. I may finally get an answer to how many 1st party NES controllers I own...

It's simple, you do this:
your image's address (i.e. http://www.....)
As for me, I don't own any controllers worth mentionig, and all of mine are in a plastic storage shelf thingy, and I'm too lazy to take a pic. I do have like 12 Zappers, and I might do a group photo lol.

Controllers are the most important part. If your console ever dies, you can just boot up your emulator... but when your last NES pad dies... well, you're then stuck with some Walmart POS. :devilish:

I don't have a camera on hand to take pictures, but if I ever do, here is my list:
NES: 2 rectangles, 1 Camerica joystick, 1 Advantage, 1 orange Zapper
SNES: 2 3rd-party controllers, 2 standard controllers, 2 Capcom Pad Soldiers
N64: A bunch of controllers (gray, yellow, red, green, black official), Interact Sharkpad Pro, The Rock
Gamecube: Almost one of each color (black, spice, indigo, emerald green, and Wii white, just need indigo/clear and Platinum plus the two Wavebirds), bongos, microphone, and connectivity cables.
Wii: 2 remotes, 1 nunchuck, 1 wheel, 2 Classic Controllers
Genesis: 2 3-button controllers, 1 6-button controller, 1 Capcom Pad Soldier
Saturn: 2 second model controllers
I'll edit this out once I get the pics.

I can't, it's all packed away, but I have pretty much every NES controller ever made. I have at least one of each new in box (U-force, power glove, that programmable one, etc) and tons of loose ones. Some day I'll be able to display them all :)

Dreamgear must have gotten their idea of the Arcade Fighter pad from that Hori Super Famicom pad:
http://www.amazon.com/Arcade-Fighter-Classic-Pad-Playstation-3/dp/B002EENDWW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1248451181&sr=8-2
I ordered one of these too.

I would love some more info on that Sega-Playstation pad, it looks like a mockup. I have three of those pads, but from the original OEM ... it is a Fountech Air Style pad, 900 MHz wireless, extremely quality reliable PS2 wireless pad.
I'll have to take some pics myself soon. I happily admit to collecting controllers myself. :)

I do collect a few controllers myself. Here's the SNES/SFC group; I hope I'll get a chance to photo the other systems sometime. I added a name and brief description for each one (naming starts in top left and moves across to the right first, then down to the next row). I'll list the manufacturer and model number too if I know it. For joysticks, I'll mention if they're "clicky" or "squishy" style (some have a definite metallic microswitch click; others feel like rubber or plastic resistance only. I prefer clicky).

This one I quite like as it shows the progress, sans SCPH-1080, of the PS1 controller.
First is the SCPH-1010 (first launch pad), then the large SCPH-1180 Dual Analog, and finally the more familiar SCPH-1200 Dual Shock.
I might have been interested to include a photo of the Real Arcade Pro's box too but then the photos would've been really large. Now, to put all this away!

USB. It came with the PC version of Puyo Puyo Fever. I got this stand-alone a few years ago off Yahoo Japan. There was another pad like this that was marketted for Macs, it was a nice cool grey/green arrangement as opposed to the orange of mine.

Really? The TopFighter is rare? I picked one up in a thrift store for five bucks, mainly because I thought it was a PS1 controller (I don't own a SNES and didn't recognize the controller plug). It's cool that I have a rare fighting stick, but I don't think I'll ever use it since I really don't collect for Nintendo consoles.

Are those N64 controllers with the switches on the top 1st party?
One (with the shorter udders) is made by Hudson. The other is made by ASCii.
I'm an avid controller collector as well. Heck, with emulation so prevalent, it really comes down to the variances in hardware that make the gameplaying experience.
Here are some of my Playstation controllers.

Yeah, really rare. Mine came in the original box and had this certificate saying it was only 1 of 5,000 or so made. It was personally signed by who knows. It was supposed to be the highest quality stick you could buy with the money at the time, but after handling a HRAP I have to somewhat disagree lol.
anyone on here own this (for VCS):

about the only controller i have that is not just a regular one is Dominator Master Control for nes made by nexoft. it is a wireless controller and i usually just plug a nes controller into it to use the wireless on it so i don't have to move the nes to play. don't see people talk about this thing much for some reason.

Awesome, I love picture threads. Well, here goes:
Here are my "normal" controllers. Sorry that it's kind of blurry; but, there are:
9 Gamecube controllers: 3 wired, 3 Wavebird, and 3 offbrand;
4 Dreamcast controllers;
4 Genesis controllers: 3 6 button pads, and a 3 button arcade stick;
2 NES controllers: a pad and stick, two more pads and a zapper at my dad's apartment;
4 PSOne controllers;
5 N64 controllers: 3 normal, 1 offbrand, and one mini racing wheel;
3 SNES controllers;
4 Xbox controllers: 2 S-models, 1 Duke, and one Logitech wireless;
4 SMS controllers: 2 d-pads and 2 Quickfire joysticks;
a bunch of crappy Atari style joysticks and two racing paddles;
4 Coleco controllers: 2 ADAM controllers and 2 super action;
6 Gamewave remotes;
2 Virtual Boy controllers (don't ask);
and 2 Magnavox Odyssey controllers (whew!)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01987.jpg
A closeup of the Coleco and Gamewave controllers. I got the Gamewave, 4 controllers, and three games for $20 from a thrift store near my house. They had been sitting there for over a year, so I was surprised when this actually turned out to be a fun family system. Since then I've bought two more games and controllers for that system.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01989.jpg
Those Magnavox Odyssey controllers, with their amazing garden-hose-sized cords. That D-pad is some sort of PC gaming pad I think, I got it with my Action Max, which definitely doesn't have a din15 port on it.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01988.jpg
Now for the more interesting pictures. Sorry that it's sideways, Photobucket is being uncooperative. (*edit: Looks like it's actually working now.) Ignoring the clutter in the background, pictured are the following:
Wii Crap;
GH/Rockband: 2 drumsets, 4 guitars, 2 mics;
PS2 Beatmania controller;
N64 racing wheel;
knock off DC Samba de Amiga controllers;
Xavix Port baseball controllers;
lightguns for the ps1, Xbox, master system, DC, actionmax, and NES (not pictured);
gakken tv boy;
DC keyboard and mouse;
and two arcade sticks I'm working on.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01982.jpg
A closeup of the Samba de Amiga and Beatmania controllers. I found the Beatmania controller with its game for $20 at the same thrift store that I found the GameWave at, which is the same store that I found my $20 Crystal Xbox at. To bad their prices have gone up and they never have any interesting gaming stuff anymore.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01984.jpg
The XaviX PORT baseball bat and ball. This is a neat system to own, but I wish the games weren't so expensive. I really want the bowling and fishing games, and Jackie Chan Boxing would just be plain funny.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01985.jpg
The Gakken TV Boy. While it's actually the console itself, the idea is that you hold the console in your lab and use it as the controller. Unfortunately, I don't have any games for this, nor have I ever seen any. I have everything else for the system, except for the tape that holds the lid on it is pretty much MIB, including twisty ties and such.
If ANYONE ever finds any games for this, I would be EXTREMELY INTERESTED in buying/trading for them!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y206/SPAZ_12/DSC01983.jpg
These two controllers are a work in progress. I have a Jungle Hunt arcade board, and a Neo Geo 1 slot MVS board as well. I have been slowly building a supergun to play these on, and these will be the default controllers. Work has been moving very slowly: I'm more than a year into this project, and don't see it being completed until summer. In the meantime, I have two nice looking arcade sticks which sit in my game room and look nice.

Don't have a camera, but I like making lists, so...
NES - 1 NES Advantage joystick, 1 NES Max pad, and one orange Zapper. All working fine, though I did have to open up the Max pad and fix it when I got it because one of the pins holding the pad under the dpad thing had broken. Some electrical tape fixed that and I've had no problems since. :)
SNES - 2 official SNES controllers, 2 no-name third-party controllers (these are smaller than first-party controllers), 1 SNES Mouse (with pad), and a Super Multitap for multiplayer.
N64 - 4 official controllers, 2 grey and 2 Atomic Purple. All have had their analog sticks replaced once, four or five years ago, and several probably need that done again...
Gamecube - 4 official controllers, one of which is broken, and one third-party Mad Catz Cubicon controller. The three working ones are orange, purple, and black. The broken one is black; it sort of works, but some of the buttons don't work properly (depending on the game L might be L+R while R does nothing, etc)... it's unusable, unfortunately. The programmable button on the Mad Catz pad (above L, opposite the Z button which is above R) broke off into the controller years ago, but other than that it still works fine, and I never used the programmable features, so I never cared much about that or tried to fix it.
Genesis - 2 official Sega 6-button controllers (the usual kind with the smaller XYZ buttons), 1 no-name third-party 6-button controller (smaller than first-party ones, like with the no-name SNES controllers I have), 1 Sega 6-button turbo arcade stick, and one of the EA 4-Way Play multitaps.
Saturn - 1 model 2 controller (the original Japanese model), 1 3D controller (the one I mostly use), 1 Mission Stick joystick for flight games, etc.
Dreamcast - 2 official Sega controllers (one is missing the "Dreamcast" logo thing above the VMU window and it somewhat touchy, only working with specific memory cards plugged in, ever since some water spilled on it some time ago, but does work; the other one is in great shape), 1 official Sega arcade stick with box (Agetec published it in the US, but in Japan Sega did), 1 Mad Catz controller (the kind with 6 face buttons; the R button doesn't always respond and the analog stick cap thing is missing (so there are just little dots on top of it instead of something to hold your grip better), but other than that it works well.), and 1 Performance Astropad controller (awful thing... works fine though.)
TurboGrafx-16 - 3 TurboPad controllers and 1 TurboTap multitap. Two work fine, but one of the controllers has a sticky d-pad which sometimes sticks, particularly in the down direction, after you've been pressing that direction. I tried taking it apart and cleaning it, but while that fixed it for a while, after a few months the problem returned. Bah. Oh well, I use the others. The TurboTap is VERY touchy; don't bump it while using it, or cause it to move at all! Also some controllers only seem to work in certain ports, sometimes controllers will just stop responding and you have to plug and unplug them (and then it'll start doing it again in two minutes)... I have no idea what's wrong with it, but it's really annoying and I don't use it except when I have to for multiplayer. I wish it worked, those controllers are REALLY short and it adds a nice foot or so to the distance you can be from the system.
Playstation - 2 white Dual Shock controllers, the kind that came with the PSone. Both are in great shape.
PS2 - one black Dual Shock 2 controller working fine. For multiplayer games I just use a Dual Shock 1 controller with it; I don't have any multiplayer games yet that require pressure sensitive buttons, and thus they all work fine with Dual Shock 1s.
Virtual Boy - 1 controller with battery box. Works fine, though the right d-pad is a little sticky.
PC - Gameport - 1 Capcom PC Fighter 6 gamepad (came in the box with Mega Man X, still works as well as it ever did), 1 Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro joystick (still works perfectly, apart from driver issues on newer PCs which are solvable by using its emulation modes), 1 Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad (the original model, works okay but not perfectly, some of the time some buttons don't respond unless you press hard), 1 Gravis PC Gamepad (the original kind, and still working perfectly), and 1 broken Gravis Xterminator gamepad which failed within a year of my getting it, unfortunately; it was a great pad! I may still have an old Kraft Thunderstick joystick lying around somewhere, but I'm not sure if I still have that or not... after getting the Sidewinder 3D Pro in 1997 or so I never used it again.
PC - USB - no working controllers. I have a broken Saitek P880 (first the d-pad snapped off and then the rest of the thing failed... awesome pad though, used it a lot for years) and the aforementioned Gravis Xterminator, which came with a Gameport to USB adapter that I assume would work if the controller did.
Oh yeah, and for systems which are also the controller (eg handhelds), I've got a Game Boy (original grey model), GBA (original model, solid purple color), DS (original model), and Game Gear (Majesco model), as well as broken Game Boy Color (clear purple) and Game Boy Advance (original model, smoky purple color) systems.

Hey, those controllers with the gamecube looking analog sticks for n64 are made by hori right? I have seen some on ebay and I am really curious how they work. THey are really pricey so I wanted to hear from someone else to see how they are before I spend 50-60 bucks on a controller.

Yea, after reading that review it has scared me off from attempting to buy one. I have big hands and that things looks very tiny and hand cramp inducing, plus the reviewer made it sound like the joystick is so much more sensitive than the official controllers that it changes the experience when gaming on n64. That is something I would like to avoid.
Even with those flaws I would still like to try one, if it did not cost an arm and a leg.

From what the reviewers are saying there, the black Interact one is supposed to be the best. The other two pronged one you see there.

Oh I know, Its just something that crossed my mind, at the time it was offered I went and bought something else. The Glove itself was $20, I could have gotten it but I had not the money on me at the time nor did I think it was an investment due to it just being the glove itself..
I can only hope next time I go there he still has it....
Didn't expect to see this thread here. This is totally my niche.
Sorry to direct everyone to a different site, but I already have my controller collection posted on Racketboy forums here (http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11283). I can copy paste that topic and edit this reply if pointing to other forums is a taboo.
It's in need of updating (fifteen or so controllers to add, I think), which I should get around to in the next week or two. Two more on top of it are coming in the next month (DJ Hero and Fanatec 911 Turbo wheel).
I was surprised to see some controllers I'm not too familiar with. Stolen Song and Maestromusic; any good? I vaguely remember seeing them before, so they're likely controllers I chose to passover, which means probably not. Collecting the crap would greatly expand my collection to unmanageable levels and price ranges. Sorry R.O.B., Activator, Power Glove; I think of you often. It's already hard enough to justify some of the controllers I have. Do you have any other oddities, SamuraiSmurfette, that you didn't include?
Maybe some time I'll take some pictures of my standard controllers. I have loads of those too.

Giving a little nudge to this thread as I liked it last time I checked it out. Cool stuff all around and obscure controllers really can enhance the gameplay to some genres. Here's some of my PC controllers:
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c196/cyberfluxor/Collections/Computer/comp_controllers.jpg
I've seen that PC Arcade stick for the Playstation before and would be tempted to grab it next time as it's a decent stick. I've had some other arcade players handle it and it's had a solid response from them. If you find one for a good price I suggest picking it up.
No introduction required for the Wingman or Attack3 sticks I'm sure. Very common and good, cheap sticks to have on hand for any flight simulation fan.
As for the F-15E Hawk Tactical Control Stick, it's really interesting. There are only 2 working buttons and is analog, obviously. It has a metallic base and thick rubber around the base giving good resistance to the stick movement. I have spent some time digging around online for drivers and it's a hidden beast.
