Hey,
I'm looking to replace the batteries in various Pokemon GB / GBC games, and was wondering what type of battery you get and how much I should be paying for them, and where?
also, does this require soldering or can you use electrical tape to keept them in place?
Thanks

i have no clue, i would assume its more trouble than its worth, unless of course you are the guy in the finds thread who has like 200 pokemon games, then maybe its worth it.

Easier than I thought. I found this guide:
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-replace-the-battery-in-a-pokemon-goldsilve/
though it is easier to just use a gamebit I'm sure.
And found a good deal on batteries: 100 for $11.98. Might as well buy 100 of them because buying 25 of them is like $6.

I bought 30 of them for $4.27 shipped on ebay. That was the lowest price unless you need 100, and I don't think I will get 100 pokemon yellow anytime soon.

you can get the gamebit at newelectronx, if you still need it.
