I picked it up for Xbox because it's definitely on the rarer side for sure. It's in that group with Jurassic Park, Stubbs the Zombie, and others that are VERY hard to find in the wild, but extremely common at any online auction site.
The gameplay is cool because you're supposed to stay concealed and take out certain targets without being spotted. Its a fun game, but somewhat slow, and difficult for sure.

Potty training a toddler certainly cuts down on the time out of the house hunting you can do, so not as many finds lately. Fortunately it only really took 2 days and we just stayed close to home to make sure it 'took'. ...more than any of you wanted to know, I'm sure!
Here's some recent pickups:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds186a.jpg
25 cent PS a/v and regular a/v
Garfield was a buck
NES games were 50 cents each, but I got them thrown in free for buying a good bit of romex wire for $30
The vTech Baseball game was $3.80 at a thrift. A bit pricey, but has the styro and manual, and works great.
And of course, these beauties for 2 bucks each, all with battery covers and in great shape:

Nice Game and Watch finds!
Today I didn't find much in thrifts, even after tripling the stores I usually go to and covering a nice swath of the Metroplex. I also ended up going to a GameXchange in Flower Mound, TX which turns out has been bought out by the website Screw Attack. It's now Game Attack, and they seem to have gotten in a whole lot more classic games since the last time I was there. I was impressed to see a huge amount of Saturn games, and totally crushed to see that out of 70 or 80 games on the shelf nearly every one of them was a sports game. I bought a can of Slurm energy drink there. And at a Super Target I bought that tin you see in the picture, the Atari logo on it and a pair of 'sleep shorts' inside with the Fuji logo and 'Game Over' written all over it.
I bought a boxed TI-1500 calculator for the heck of it, since it was only $1.99. And the Xavix Baseball cart was only $1.99, but I couldn't find the bat peripheral anywhere. Doesn't matter, I can always swing the bowling ball instead, the machine probably doesn't care. :) At Game Attack, I bought two copies of Solar Storm for the Atari 2600. Not that easy a game to find, and then find two in a small pile of Combats and other commons. $1.95 each for those. Then the Slurm cost $2.19 and I can't recall what I paid for the Atari shorts, probably around $10 or so.

Thanks!
That TI might actually be worth a little something. Those Datamath calculators have a bit of a following (sold a 2500 myself not long ago), and having it complete like that is nice for the collectors. I don't see any completed auctions, though, and I'm not into it enough to know without, so no promises.

Visited my local game shop again. I got:
Lunar: Dragon Song (Complete) for $14.99 - The reviews are mixed for this game, but I thought I give it a shot anyway. Who knows? Maybe I'll like it.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Nintendo Power's Official Guide - $9.99
I also was going to buy a complete copy of Suikoden IV. But when the store employee brought out the disc, he noticed that there was a crack in the center of it! So he couldn't sell it to me. :( Oh well, I guess it's for the best. I wouldn't want to risk playing a busted disc in my PS2 anyway.
The only other thing I bought was a Pokemon cell phone charm (Lugia) from a vending machine in a nearby mall. I intended to attach it to my DS wrist strap slot, but the cord for the charm was too short, and it seemed kind of flimsy too. So I put an older Pokemon charm (Manaphy) on it instead.
Edit: Silly me! I completely forgot to mention that I bought Scribblenauts on Wednesday!

Sam & Max Hit the Road (Macintosh version, disk only) - $1 at Salvation Army
I was heading home from my weekly Field Biology class field trip, and missed the turn to head home, so I went down the road a bit and hit this shop. I was there once before and saw a loose 32X, but this was the only good thing there this time. Not sure if it's worth anything, but it's a nice collectable.

Isn't it one of those stupidly common war games?
The PS2 version of Sniper Elite used to sell for $40-$50 used. Then Game Quest Direct reprinted it, so now you can easily buy it for half that. The Xbox version still sells for around $40 though. I'm guessing that's because it's BC with the 360 and I think the Live servers are still online.
I bought it new at launch and played thru the entire game. Liked it a lot but it has some flaws (bland graphics and close-combat is sucky). Very gory though and the slo-mo bullet cam replays are a blast to watch after nailing headshots from 500 yds away.

Complete (cart/case/manual) Genesis games at GW today:
Awesome Possum
California Games
Mortal Kombat
Shadow Dancer The Secret of Shinobi (Sega Classic)
Splatterhouse 2 (R5)
Super Street Fighter II
All 2.99 each. Cal Games, for some reason, had 3 loose Sega CD games in the case: Sewer Shark, Corpse Killer, and Slam City w Scottie Pippen. All pretty scratched up though and I don't have a CD unit to test them on. They also had a bunch of other boxed Genny games minus the manuals, and a few loose carts in a baggie. Looking those up now, might go back and pick them up later.

Nabbed the following SMS games at Goodwill today:
Micky Mouse in Castle of Illusion - Cart, box - US
Rastan - CIB - US
Reggie Jackson Baseball - Cart, Box - US
Battle Outrun - CIB - EU
Slap Shot - CIB - US
Penguin Land - CIB - US
All for $0.99 a piece. Yayness! First decent retro find in a LONG time. Keep on considering this Leisure Vision I keep seeing on kijiji for $15, but I have no knowledge on the thing.
Oh and Slap Shot will be up for trade/sale soon, as its my second copy and yes...It is a blue labelled cart.
(P.S. No pics at this time, as I'm at work.)

I grew up with the DOS version, so it's basically a collectible for me unless the Mac version has enhanced audio or something.
I forgot to post it last night, but I had one more somewhat funny find yesterday. I picked up a book as well at that thrift, since I didn't have any cash on me and felt bad swiping on a $1 transaction. I paid $1 for Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead, and she doesn't get a cent of it. I waited until I found it at a price that benefited me, but the money went to a charity (something Rand personally disapproved of). Take that, objectivism!

Asked about games at this sale and I missed out by 10 minutes on what was mentioned as a huge bin of older games with Atari/Nintendo stuff. The lady mentioned a "Super Nintendo" they still had inside that wasen't out for sale and showed me this N64 stuff then the Playstation games. I offered $20 which was countered with $30 and we agreed to meet in the middle.

Picked up a nice lot off CL earlier this evening.
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds187a.jpg
PS1 (a/v model) w/ 3 crap games
SNES w/ 2 SMW, SMAllstars, Kirby Dream Course, Uniracers, and SW Empire.
2 Gen games and some manuals that were found and thrown in. Systems have hookups, I just didn't include them.
Also:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds187b.jpg
some nice NES games. The boxes in front don't have the games, unfortunately.
and then the reason I splurged:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds187c.jpg
I found myself not wanting to post the price for this lot, so I guess maybe I paid more than I should have, but since I always list my prices I will here, too. Paid $180 for it all. I figure after I sell the extra stuff, it will make DWIV and the FF box/map pretty cheap pickups.
I'd kind of planned on selling the DW box, etc, since my DW II & III games are loose, but now that I have it I doubt I will. I now have the complete NES DW set (hooray for mini-goals!). Dunno what I'll do with the Maniac mansion or RRII boxes yet.
Not a find, but in the same outing I sold a spare TG16 w/ Alpha Zones for $40, so that was nice to clear out.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (PS1): £2.99
Ecco the Dolphin (DC): £4.99

Good finds at Goodwill:
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/5731/helmetdp.jpg
It was $1.99 day at the first Goodwill I stopped at…5 SMS games, 2 NES games, and a new PS2 Network Adaptor, all $1.99 each.
The second one had some unusual finds…A Halo helmet for $6.99 in the toy section. I checked, and of course there were no games inside, but a 30% off coupon made it only $4.90. And by the luggage and backpacks was a lonely little GameBoy SP case for 99 cents. It obviously hadn’t been opened when they priced it, as it had a like-new cobalt blue SP inside! Recharged it when I got home and it works like a champ…score!

Model 1 Genesis, RF Adaptor, 3 Button 1st Party & 3 Button 3rd Party Controllers & Sonic 2 Cart
Super Nintendo With RF Adaptor, Donkey Kong Country, Judge Dredd, Street Fighter II Turbo & Total Carnage
Nintendo 64 With Gray & Blue 1st Party Controllers, Power Adaptor, Madcatz Multi System RF Adaptor & Super Mario 64
$13
This house had some PSP & PS2 games out with some decent ones (Resident Evil 4 & Okami) but most of them were marked $10. Asked about older games and all this was brought out. Offered $10 which was surprisingly low to the desicion maker on the price but they did counter with $15 and ended up agreeing close to the middle at $13 with me pointing out some missing stuff.

2 Atomic purple Gameboys for a buck a piece. Bug's Life, Pokemon Yellow, Pinball, and Blue, and Lion King all for $2. Roger Rabbit and Tetris were $0.50 each at a seperate sale.

Shadow Tower and Threads of Fate were $2 a piece. They're both new and sealed :) :) :)
and a lady at a sale said she had some "old Bally game system" (seriously) in storage she'd sell me. Gave her my phone number. Score!

Hopefully it'll be the Astrocade, and it'll actually work. Those things had a high failure rate due to overheating and poor ventilation. If it is the Astrocade, hopefully it'll come with The Incredible Wizard (Wizard of Wor in the arcade). Grab a senond player and start having some fun 'accidentally' shooting your friend in the back. :D
I was too unmotivated to get out of the house before 2pm, so instead of using my day off to comb the flea markets, I instead hit a bunch of retro game stores and stuff.
All loose:
Zany Golf (Genesis) $2.99
Crue Ball (Genesis) $4.99
Blockout (Genesis) $4.99
Ballz (Genesis) free after buying three used games
Attack of the Mutant Penguins (Atari Jaguar) $9.99
Taz (Atari 2600) $1.99
Sea Hunt (Atari 2600) $1.99
I've wanted Attack of the Mutant Penguins for years, but I only briefly saw it in stores back in the day and haven't seen it in the wild ever. I'm also happy that one of the few Jaguar games that I still need to collect is now marked off my list.

Code Name Viper In Nintendo Hard Plastic Case With Manual - $1.50
Half off pink tags made Rad Racer .75 and I couldn't resist a complete game for under a buck even if it was the wrong game. I bought Code Name Viper since I didn't have a manual. They also had TMNT & Fire Shark (1st time I've ever seen this one used in the wild around me) which I would have grabbed at 1.50 if I didn't have them. I was considering passing on Code Name Viper till 50% off but figured I shouldn't try to be that cheap as it would most likely be gone if I gambled on waiting till it was 50% off.
Tyco Power Plug (SNES, New Sealed) $2
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (GH, Complete)
Golden Nugget (Complete)
Looney Tunes: Sheep Raider (Complete)

Playstation games were a buck each and everything was IAP. I though about offering a buck for the Tyco Power Plug but didn't even bother since the guy is very reasonable and it is new not to mention I've gotten some very good deals from him in the last few years. It's funny looking back as I got one of these new (but not sealed like this one) at a yardsale last year on the 19th of September.

I find them every few months here at Goodwill or flea markets, anywhere from $1(my personal best) to $20 each. I recently got an FZ-10 off ebay for $13, mainly because I only find FZ-1's in the wild.
If you find another at 1$ give me a ring.

While not really gaming related, I picked up a Lyra 30Gb Portable Multimedia Recorder. It will display pictures, playback videos and MP3s, and record and playback through A/V jacks. It will also allow you to dump data to it via the SD card slot. Was originally $300 eons ago at Wal-Mart, but they had it clearanced down to $75.

all these recent 3do finds are pretty cool, i thought they were nearly extinct.
How about neo geo cd systems? does anyone ever find those in the wild. I found one once at a garage sale a few years ago, but other than that never seen any neo geo stuff.

ow about neo geo cd systems? does anyone ever find those in the wild.TONS here in Japan. It's a fairly common system, believe it or not. The AES is harder to find, but it certainly does turn up here from time to time. The CD system sold relatively well here apparently. Shame that 99% of the Neo CD games I come across are the same fighters again and again. I've lost count of the number of Samurai Shodown, Fatal Fury and King of the Fighters discs I've seen.

DDR Supernova Disc - .50 cents
Bait, 4 Game Pack - .50 cents each
They thought they were movies... so they said two for a buck. I bought them all. :p DDR Supernova was stuck in a generic DVD case, and since I already had the case and manual from way back... what the hell. I tried it and it's just so different from the DDR games I used to play years ago, it's jarring. :(

And I was about to leave when I saw a very familiar name underneath a frying pan...

$4. Fun fact, this is the second boxed copy I've found in like five years, and both copies had Microsoft Employee stickers like that one. I've never found a retail box in all that time.

Mint in the box & plastic SNES model 2 - $40 (awesome condition, looks like it was never played)
Does that snes 2 have the cut-out on the bottom for the barcode? The box looks funny.
I got a wireless network adapter for the original xbox for $25, did I overpay? It's neat to have in any event since I can use it for any ethernet capable device :)

nice find. In my searches I've found 0 with boxes. The most recent I found was a PC pack-in, though, which I didn't know about (not that I know much about it in general). It is disc only, but says the 'for distribution w/ a new pc only' thing.

Ooops - forgot to mention the Atari remote control joystick set I picked up at a flea market yesterday for $10.
The sellers and I were both curious about how they got their power: it seems like the wireless receiver box plugs into the 2600's power jack, and the 2600's AC cord plugs into the wall from the wireless receiver in kind of a daisy-chain. Does that sound about right?

I'll let you know when I put it on ebay for lots of moneyLOL
As for the Neo Geo question, I've never seen any NG systems or games in the wild. Not even portable ones. They must be extra rare or rarely handed over to Goodwill's and flea markets.

Actually got something decent game related from eBay today. A Dragon Force watch from Working Designs. I know that they made other watches, posters, pins, etc. for a number of their games. If anyone had some of those, I may be interested in buying them. Here is the watch that I bought for a whole 99 cents. Of course the new battery for it was much more:

It is in beautiful shape with just a little bit of bending in the strap which shows that it had been fastened at one time. Don't know if it was actually worn since the gold stamped 'Genuine Leather' on the back of the band is not worn at all.
