I've beat the campaign on both normal and veteran and I have to say that veteran on this game was much easier than it was in the first game. I've played multiplayer alittle under 4 hours and have really been enjoying it lately. The thing I've played the least is special ops mode, mainly because I haven't had that many people to play it with. I did a few by myself but I know it would be alot better with a partner to watch my back.
Well, after hearing so many of my friends talk about how they can't wait to go home, go online, and play Call of Duty, I finally caved in and just bought one on eBay. I ordered the Prestige Edition for the PS3, with the Night Vision Goggles (or the Geek Edition, lol). Can't wait until it arrives!

Don't buy the stimulus package. If you do it won't let you play the game, you have to do an update and it will error :frustrated:

I'm pretty sick and tired of the bugs in this game, from care packages, javlins, hyper speed, ranked custom matches, people getting off the maps. The last 6 games i played were all hacks.
Screw this game.

the ps3 version is the cleanest/purest version. since the ps3 isnt hacked there isnt any way to hack the game and cheat.

I agree. I mean, what the hell is up with all the bugs in this damn game? Better yet, where did all that 200 million to make this game go to? Advertising? Theres been several articles online from various sites about the multitude of cheats and exploits in this game. The hyper speed one really annoyed me. Activision and/or Infinity Ward really need to overhaul a fix for this game. It's becoming this generations Halo 2.

Bugs? The only bug I regularly encountered was the Javelin glitch and they patched it a while ago. I've been in a few games were everyone was moving hyper speed but I didn't realize that was an intentional glitch. Played one game out of almost 2000 where I saw a guy off the map.
What really annoys me is the constant torrent of spam voice messages I get from other players. "This is a message to all friends and recent players. I'm hosting a 10 prestige lobby. Invites are 1600 MS points. Message me back for details."
I swear, I get one of those messages for every 3-4 games I play. Wish there was a way to report these spammers.

Are the new maps playable yet? I haven't been on MW2 in a little while due to hours at work, but I'd like to get the new maps if they're any good.

I downloaded the Stimulus package today and also had to do a system upgrade like others said. After trying for 20 minutes I was finally able to join a game on the Stimulus map. Hope they fix it soon. Maybe just too many people on the server today.

I don't know about the Xbox version but I have about 40-50 hours on the PS3 one and so far I haven't noticed any flaws. After playing Fight Night Round 4 online, I was beginning to think that the PS3 system was not capable of doing online gaming properly but Infinity Ward really got it right with this one!

I love this game. Bought it two weeks ago and played it for maybe 30 hours total (I work a lot), including campaign on regular and online multiplayer. Level 37 now. Can't put it down once I get home. The online challenges just make the game so interesting.

I played yesterday with virtually no problem. The made me do a quick 30 second download this morning and when i click play oonline i got to main menu screen and a box says fetching playlist, updating rank, connecting to matchmaker...i have left it up for 20 mins and still nothing.What to do ? Any idea ?
It does that from time to time. I waited a few hours and then the message stopped popping up and I was able to play like normal.

I was pretty disappointed in the new maps. It's nothing but a camper's delight and just seem quickly thrown together. Has anyone else had any problems with online play? I have a major issue of getting kicked out of a match and then a message appearing saying that I lost connection or some shit cause I couldn't connect to the host. My connection is 100% most of the time. As far as people cheating, it's insane. I was playing last night and someone was glitching on a new map. I believe it was the junkyard one???

Yeah, this happens a lot. Not too much though...maybe 1 out of every 20-30 games I play. My connection is always 100% as well, so I just assume it has something to do with the host quitting and the game not being able to find a new one.

The PS3 version has been pretty good. I am sure that there are hackers that I cannot notice, but I still have been having fun playing the game since December.

I also have trouble getting into games sometimes. When I first tried getting into capture the flag matches I would end up waiting in the lobby 5-10 minutes at a time but now it's gotten better. The cheating is still pretty rampant, especially hyper speed for single players.

I was just wondering if anyone downloaded the Resurgence pack today for xbox 360. If so is it any good? I tried to get it earlier today, but it wasn't available yet. I'm mainly looking forward to playing the Carnival and Trailer Park stages.

This is fuckin buggy as hell! DOn't wast your money! I'm fuckin pissed. Almost everytime an airstrike gets called in. EVERYTHING stalls. Out of every 10 games I've played on the new maps, 6 of them lost connection some how. It's so F'N broken! I've been playing Battlefield on PSN for the past few weeks and have had very little problems with connection and I'm playing this on XBL and I'm having issues with EVERY match! Don't waste your time or money!

I bought the MW2 map packs just to take a break from Battlefield and the terrible lag issues. The game is unplayable on the 360 and has been for 2 weeks now.

I've haven't played too many other games online on XBL but I've playerd SFIV recently and haven't had these type of problems. It's honestly barely playable. I have a feeling the people that left to form Respawn knew how to get this shit working correctly. This map pack got chrned out for money and there doesn't seem to be any indication of quality assurance behind it. It's just so broken. I've had it lose connection, kick me off the game, then when I go back to the menu and get back in a game, it's the same one I was playing but all of my stats are reset. The only reason I'm trying to play it right now is because of the double XP but I think I might go back to BF on PS3. That has it ups and downs but at least it's playable and I didn't just spend 15 dollars on 2 new maps and 3 maps from a game that's 3 years old.

I didn't end up liking the first map pack. The 2nd map pack has two that I like but still not worth the $15.

I guess I'm not that picky. I like both map packs. I think I like the first one better though. The only Stimulus map I didn't like was the Junkyard one. Th Storm stage was sweet. The new map pack is okay and the connection problems seem to have improved. Only problem is it seems that every stage has at least 15 airstrikes. I don't mind paying $15 each since I love the game. It's well worth it to me, but then again I never played the first Modern Warfare so all the stages are new to me.

I'm just going to wait for the inevitable "game of the year" edition that includes both map packs. I already have the regular edition so I can continue playing online with that but I refuse to pay an additional $30 for 10 maps.
