Hello,

I have pretty new "Tribal edition" Game Boy Advance but today I turned it on and I see (on every game) little green pixel when background is black or some blackish color. I think it's stuck pixel.

I head this issue can be fixed or it ca go by itself after some time. But also I have same green pixel on my computer LCD monitor and it didn't go by itself so I am asking for advice how to fix this issue.

Can someone please suggest me how to deal with this, what to try out and etc.? If you need any more information I will provide it.

Thanks.

You could try to "massage" the pixel. Use your finger and do a circular motion around it using very little force and see if it goes away.

Agreed, or tap it very lightly with the eraser, or a mechanical pencil screwed in, just enough to make the gel move. Do it while turning it on and then keep tapping it lightly. ANother method is to press firmly with a towel and pencil and then turn it on. Both of these methods have worked for me. Too bad you cant load dead pixel tester, its a great app. [[Dead pixel tester is for windows only and cant be run on gba /end disclaimer.]]

Depending on what model GBA it is, it might just be dust under the screen. The frontlit GBA SP illuminates dust like you wouldn't believe.

OK people I will try that but can you tell me how can I make this program run on my GBA? Any cheap cable to by somewhere or any other method etc. ?

Thanks.

OK, just two questions:

1. Would replacing GBA LCD screen fix problem?

2. How to remove 5 "buttons" that are in front of 5 screws that I need to unscrew in order to get to the LCD? I mean, I want to remove them without scratching them.

Thanks.

1. If the new LCD doesn't have a dead/stuck pixel then yes.
