My region moded gamecube

I modded a used gamecube i picked up at gamestop for $30(the GBP was another $10) . the region mod may be only 2 solder points , but dang they are small . there is a switch in the back to switch from US to JP . i still need to get a japanese game , i was seeing they local from time to time but not anymore . but i know it works if i boot it into the japanese settign it gives error messages when trying to read any US disk i have .
