Saw an ad yesterday about someone selling a copy of Stadium Events for $10 bucks, and I thought "wow". This looks almost too good to be true.
Tried to send a message to the person selling and got no response. I'm thinking its a fake now. Likely someone trying to get a rise out of people.

Someone mentioned that people post adds like this to gather email addresses that then are used in junk mail advertising.
I think that may be true, because you know you are getting valid email addresses because the person wants a response to buy something.

could be, as this person seems to live in London, Ontario as well:

Obviously another joke. At this point, every Stadium Events you see on an auction site you should assume is a fake unless they provide really good evidence to the contrary.
I believe the first two that sold this year, the one for 10k and 40k, were legit. Everything after that is just to be silly.

I remember seeing something similar on Craigslist about a year ago. They were advertising Stadium Events, Nintendo World Championship, and some other ridiculously rare game that I can't remember. Thing was, they were mixed in with the usual commons like SMB/DH and the like. Sent an e-mail asking for pics about an hour after it was posted, never got a reply.
I'd agree they're some sort of scam/e-mail harvesting operation.
