Codename: Kids Next Door (Xbox) FREE
Curse: The Eye of Isis (Xbox) $9.99
Doom 3 Limited Edition version (Xbox) $14.99
Call of Duty (xbox) FREE
Call of Duty 2 Collectors Edition (xbox) $14.99
Rainbow Six 3 (Xbox) $7.99
I had to return a couple of these items today. Curse was missing it's manual and the Call of Duty had the Platinum hits version disc inside. I took them back and they were very cool about letting me open others until I got the right stuff. Since I was out I hit Half Price Books where I found:
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (PS2) - $1
Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies (PS2) - $1
Armored Core 2 (PS2) - $2
Red Faction (PS2) - $2
Tomb Raider (HD-DVD) - $2
and the reason I went in:
"Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Christopher Moore.
Been wanting to read Lamb for years but could never find a used copy - my friends who've read it say it's their all-time favorite book, so I'll start it tonight.

I was picking up my cousin this past weekend from a bus stop and I was planning on hitting up a couple of thrift shops. Well I only got to go to one and walk into another because my cousin's bus came earlier than expected. Ah well.
Picked up Rayman and Lego Island 2 for PC at a Salvation Army and passed up a ton of other games that I just didn't want. I saw International Track and Field there for PSX, which I thought was worth a lot, but I looked it up and saw that it wasn't so I passed. There were also two other PSX games, GTA collection for PS2 and some Xbox Sports game I passed on. As far as PC games, the most notable was Diablo, which my brother already owns so I didn't really feel th eneed for a second copy.
Total was about $4 if anyone was curious...

I didn't find anything until I hit a newly opened thrift on my route. Bought Parasite Eve for the PS1 and Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the SNES (loose) for $4.95 each.
They also had a Colecovision in a video game console storage case, with no power supply and only one Colecovision game but a dozen Atari 2600 carts. They wanted to sell it for $40 in a bundle, although explaining that the games didn't go with the system and there's no power supply which makes the whole thing worthless didn't phase her. I've actually got a spare Coleco power plug, but who knows whether the dang thing actually works. Coleco made the consoles so cheaply. I've got five and until recently only one actually worked. Now it's beginning to graphically glitch. The only good thing about the bundle was a copy of Bank Heist for the 2600, which I don't have.

This was one of those "right place right time" deals. Now normally, Value Village prices their SNES games at $5.99 EACH so I was shocked to find packs of 4 games at $3.99 per pack. So basically a buck per game. A couple of N64 games in the lot too and I was happy to find the Super Gameboy. Three of the four packs had a Super Mario World in it too.

Wow, really nice bunch of games - great titles and at only $1 each you should be able to trade or sell them for a tidy profit! Nice find!

Hey! Now I know this is OFF TOPIC (I have been around long enough to know), but since "UnpluggedClone" had such an impact on the "Finds Community" I thought I would bring this guy up here.
Over at Nintendoage and guy posted this and the deal is so sweet I can't help but think it is our banned little friend...in all honesty it is the carpet that looks familiar to me...on top of crazy prices and mint boxed NES games
Take a look and tell me what you think...

You're right, that Nerf basketball hoop is awesome. Oh, wait.. ..what?
He wanted $150.00 for it opened-stuck back in the box...I don't even think it costs that much in the store..
I had something when I lived at my old apt and I picked it up at the flea market for $5.00
I got a heck of a deal but man $150.00 for that thing, the guys always been crazy high in prices.

Yeah, we bought a bunch of the Razor PR200's from WalMart for like $80.00 a pop, brand new in the boxes a few years ago. I guess they had put a pallet of them (and the ground force karts) up in the garden area when they ran out of storage during the holidays, found them, then brought them out once they had been clearanced out. Stock they were decent for an electric, tons better than the yellow "Honda" licensed electric pocketbike the auto parts stores were selling around the same time. For my sisters, kids or a smaller build person you could get zipping around damn fast. For my height and most adults you could still do well once you got moving, with a little power to spare. However teflon lubrication on the wheels and a couple power boosting tricks gave increased performance. I could get to the point where I had about 40 minutes runtime on a charge, equivalent to the kids on a stock bike racing the throttle up and down the entire time. That's what it really came down to, monitoring your throttle input, looking for downward slopes, keeping the momentum smooth.
Used to make my weekend yard sale rounds in the area on it. Dunno how many people would ask at each yard sale if it was for sale. LOL We did end up selling them all off when I moved a few years ago. I think my hopped up one went to the neighbor before he moved if I remember correctly. LOL While you'd never match the speed of a gas pocketbike, the whisper quite operation made riding around public streets problem free.
FYI, I think the karts had a weight rating of like 110 lbs. or something really low like that, however it had no trouble carrying adults of twice that weight stock out of the box, although we didn't stress it a ton since it was a little cramped for a taller person.
Razorama (http://www.razorama.com/) still sells all the parts if you need chargers, batteries, etc.
Thats a cool picture...Thanks for the link,
Yea I had placed a let me know when in stock order with them for the MX 350 electric dirtbike I have, the battery just came in recently...I wish I could make up a cheaper alternative.
.I need batteries for the Razor PR2oos ,They pull me well though I race the European MiniGP Racing bikes aka pocketbikes on the track, the electrics make a good starter bike for my Son-then to gas...and for us to fool around on..
Your Right,They are great for not making any noise as my gas bikes will wake up the dead.
Check out this guys mods to the electrics..He was doing mainly the PR200
http://www.youtube.com/user/The00Snake (http://www.youtube.com/user/The00Snake)
I almost bought the yellow Honda electrics but they just seem to big and I find them to be ugly as heck..(that back tire)
I'm not sure where you are located but man I sure would like to get you on a 50mph pocketbike at the track..It's a real rush.

So someone dumped an opened up WOW: Wrath of the Lich King CE in a box and I managed to salvage these. The box was all beat up, but these items are good trade fodder. The PS2 game was in another box, it's mint. $6 total.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2010-09-08b.jpg
The Dreamcast games were $1 a pop, the PS1 memory card holder was free from GameTZ. The games are MINT, but have some sunfading on the spines... I'm going to have to get replacements for those.

Poor guy. Probably wants the attention because he has no friends. :P
Well, today, I stopped at one of my usual stores before going to school hoping that a pair of vintage speakers I spotted last week were still there. Granted, they were, and another pair had just been put out (store operates Wednesday to Saturday).
$35 for all four speakers and they all work. Sadly, the sub-woofer in both of the top speakers have been replaced. Might end up keeping both pairs but I'll probably part one pair out to make my money back plus a little extra.
http://i767.photobucket.com/albums/xx316/jaruff/Finds/DSC01825.jpg
There was a turntable and receiver I'll probably get next week if they haven't been bought by then; ran out of money and space to get anything else. Didn't see any new games or systems so either they didn't get anything this week or haven't put it out yet. A rare store that fairly prices games; $2-3 for most titles besides a couple of $8 games they have at the front.

It seems the folks over at NA don't care too much as too whether a user is lying to others or not...
Anyways, lot sale and a few minor things...
$0.50 a piece, Jack Orlando: A Cinematic Adventure (director's cut.... dunno if it makes a difference) and D, both for PC/DOS. Jack Orlando looks awesome, so I've put it on my PC "to-do" list right beside American McGee's Alice. Also, a Horizon "Signal Mate" (Dunno WTF this is) for $1, a practically antique Creative Nomad 6GB MP3 player for $1.50, and Mickey's Memory Challenge (5.25" format, DOS) for $0.50. Also, was digging in a box and I saw looking me right in the face Settlers of Catan, in mint condition with all the parts inside unpunched. O_O How the heck did that get here? It was $1.50.

It's on sale at GOG.com, and the reviews there say it's a good game, but very unforgiving.

I don't know what the deal is with retro stores around Plano. There's a lot of them now, and there's some crazy prices in them. I don't remember which one it was, possibly it's CGX, they had Panzer Dragoon Zwei for the Saturn for $89.99. Really? $79.99 for the first Panzer Dragoon? And Movie Trading Company stores have sold them in the past for around twenty bucks. I found a Panzer Dragoon Zwei at a thrift, then I stopped at the same store the next week and found another Panzer Dragoon Zwei. Prices on retro stuff tends to be better in towns with a lower cost of living.
I think you need to get out of Plano to do your thrift store shopping. You've got to go over to someplace like Garland, it's got plenty of thrifts. I've been to a few of them every once in a while, and found some decent stuff.

Picked up some big box PC games, all original releases...any of these still worth anything?
King's Quest 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7
Space Quest 1, 2, 4
Privateer 2
Kult (edit: This was released as Chamber Of The Sci-Mutant Priestess in the US)
Might take a pic later. Still deciding if I want the PC games or not. They were $50 for all
Legend of Dragoon $8 from a different thrift
and my mom bought me a Soul Calibur 2 arcade stick she found at a thrift. Score!

For King's Quest / Space Quest, It depends greatly on which version of the game you have. But I'd say $5-$20 per game, depending if they have ALL the docs and if the boxes are in great shape. I've never heard of Kilt / Chamber of the Sci-Mutant Priestess before.
Privateer 2 may be worth around $15-$30 on a good day.

Not much, but at a professionally run estate sale, when it started it was a mad house, I went into the garage and sitting on a table was a small stack of 70s/80s mechanical games, and I saw a Game & Watch in the stack O_O. I grabbed the whole stack, looked over them all, and decided they were all neat enough to be worth buying:
Nervous Breakdown (Kohner Bros, 1968) - $0.50
Tomy "Target Range" pocket game - $0.50
Tomy "Catch a Caterpillar" pocket game (turrible Centipede ripoff, and to top it off I forgot I already have this one!) - $0.50
"Stun" card game (1986, by the makers of Uno... Can't find much info on this one, and it's NIP) - $1
and of course a Game & Watch, Donkey Kong II (dual screen) in pretty good shape with the battery cover - $1. This is the first G&W that I've found in a looooong time.
Church sale, I got Everything But The Girl "Acoustic" album, as well as Squirrel Nut Zippers "Hot", the latter of the two albums which is awesome (For some reason I'm loving this swing revival stuff). The former of the two albums, I'm dissappointed that "Missing" isn't on it :/. Those were a buck a piece.
EDIT: One more thing, not really video game related but really awesome. I was at the same church sale, and as I was walking out I spotted a big black trash bag with a piece of paper taped to it that read "OFFICE SUPPLIES".... Well, out of curiosity I opened it and it was full to the brim with bubble mailers! I took that to the checkout and asked the girl how much, she looked at me as if I was an alien, shrugged and said "$5", and probably thinking how could I possibly want them. Well, before you could say "That's a great deal, Ryan" I took the money out of my pocket and handed it to her. I just finished the count and the bag contains 102 JiffyLite bubble mailers, of a usable size, and 55 Kraft brand mailers that are slightly smaller. Things that I can really use FTW! I use these things to ship out light, less expensive items, especially remotes, on eBay.

Finally, a find for September. Hit a couple small flea markets on the way home from work this morning. At one I picked up a copy of Assassin's Creed II for the PS3 for $10. At the other I got some Gamecube goodness. I got complete copies of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Zelda: Four Swords. Both are used copies from GS complete with stickers on the case. The last one is a loose disc of Super Smash Bros. Melee. The total cost for all 3 GCN games was $1.

Which version of the system / OS did you get? That's not a bad price if you got the later 2005 model.
Also, Jimmy, you lucky bastich. :p
I took a day off today. I didn't think it was a good idea to cross over to the US um, today.

Digimon World (Cover & Disc Only), Mega Man 8 (Complete) - $2
Soulblade & Tekken 3 (Both Complete) - $2
Codebreaker v10 (PS2, Complete) - $1
4 Playstation games, 2 at each sale and asking a buck for each of them. Asked $2 for the Codebreaker at another sale and I offered a buck for it.

Black & White 2 & Sim City 2000 (PC, Complete) - $1
Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 (Complete) - $2-ish
1 2600, 3 Genesis & 4 Intellivision Games - $1
The PC games were actually from the last sale of the day and were asking .50 each. No price on some PS2 games at one sale I offered a buck for Resident Evil only to find out that the PS2 games were $5 each but we ended up at $2.50 with 2 other minor things I had so I'm figuring about $2 of that for the game. About mid morning (I'd guess shortly before 10) I saw the rest of the games I got in a box with a few VHS tapes. The Genesis games were marked .25 each no price on the Intellivision games and I offered a buck for them all which was taken. Soccer & Tennis are missing the games but the rest are complete.

I'm really excited about Dragon Warrior III. Couple questions:
1) Anyone know what its worth sealed? Does the seal look original (I believe it is).
2) How does it compare to the NES version?
But now that I know what Final Fantasy XI online is all about, I am much much less excited about that purchase. Hopefully I can get rid of it and maybe get half of my money back. I sometimes have a problem of seeing an RPG I don't own and immediately buying it without thinking.

It rained this morning, so there’s nothing to add to Friday’s finds:
http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1714/mutanthockey.jpg
A craigslist rummage advertised a sega genesis system and games…the games were complete, but mostly sports titles…one title caught my eye though…3 bucks for a complete Mutant League Hockey.
At another rummage, I picked up a Tomy Pacman game for 50 cents, and a pump pellet pistol with laser sight (“long-slide 45 wit da laser sight” kept going through my head as I bought it) for 10 bucks…watch out wabbits!
Then at a Goodwill got a PS1 MTV Skateboarding and a Gameboy Pokemon Silver for 99 cents each.
I also found a new package of McFarlane Halo Reach figures which struck me as odd. It had damage to the box, and had a $22.99 Target sticker on the side, but seemed a bit early to already be at Goodwill. $4.99 for the red/blue Hazop twin pack…but no picture, as they stayed on my shelf at work :D

Yeah I'm trying to figure it out. I don't do this very often and it always messes up for me. I pasted the links directly and then used the [ IMG ] command. I'll try what you said. Thanks.

I'll have to get some pictures tonight but today was pretty good.
Vintage Allied 435 Receiver (From my understanding, it's basically a Pioneer receiving that's been re-branded) - $5
16 magazines (PC & guns) - $2 total
Super Mario All-Stars, Legend of ZELDA A Link to the Past, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Street Fighter II, Hook, NBA Hang Time (All SNES) - $1 each
Architecture software w/ manual - $0.50
There was a woman selling a Model 2 Genesis with several controllers (including two crappy looking third-party flight joysticks) and games (three boxed, probably 10-15 loose, mainly sports titles) but wanted $30 for everything. I tried to convince her to let me get Road Rash II boxed and a couple of loose games for $3 but she wouldn't budge. I even offered her $15 for the entire lot but she wouldn't go for it. It was nearly 11AM too, so I doubt she sold it. People really overestimate Genesis values.
Very happy about the SNES games, a few of them have small rental stickers on the labels but I should be able to get them off. Only depressing thing was that the guy only had the seven games I bought.

You can resize them within Photobucket. There should be an editor somewhere in there.
Don't worry, the sizes are big but they're not too bad.

ITs actually a remake of the snes version with yet another new (hard as fuck) cave and some other new content, its very much worth playing, the only qualm I had is they got lazy with the localization of it and you can only have 5 letter charecter names. other then that its an awesome game and not terribly valuable sealed (had a very high print run)

So far this month, I've acquired:
Mario Kart 64 ($15, still think I over paid a little bit, but I love the game, so I paid the "I'm tired of searching for a cheaper copy of it" price)
Legend Of Zelda: Links Awakening DX (GBC) - $8
Breath of Fire (SNES) $9
Illusions of Gaia (SNES) $7
I'm still waiting on a few things to come in the mail, though I kind of forgot what 2 or 3 of them were... oops.
The GBC game I over paid a little bit ($1 or $2, nothing major), but I bought it at a gaming store down the road from me. I figured I wasted 20 minutes or so of the owners time just with random talk (some game related things, mostly not though), and I happened to see a game that I enjoyed playing, so I picked it up.

edit: kind of an interesting story about the xbox games...I went up to the woman running it and made my offer. She said she didn't know, and asked some other guy. He said sure, and I asked for a bag, and paid. When I got back to the table that they were on, half of them were gone! I asked around to the various people running the sale, and none of them had said that they had sold any.... then someone found them, inside a bin of clothes that another lady had bought. She was trying to steal them. WTF? Not only that, but the first lady on my way out was like "hey, you didn't pay for those!" so of course, I said that I did, and she's like, "well, they're mine! Who did you pay!" So I said, it was a guy named Tony. She said that SHE was Tony. huh? Then she conveniently remembered that there was also a man named Tony and everthing was ok. Although, as I was leaving, she was shouting at him for her money. Geez.

Congrats on that. I love the hell out of those old Tomy pocket games. In fact, yesterday my brother discovered the one he had as a kid, Bi-Plane Battle. (http://www.masters.me.uk/pocketeers/Htm-Designs/ratatat.htm) And I recently found a Tomy Pachinko game a couple of weeks ago. Tomy made such cool little toys.

Ok, now I in no way like to bring drama or bring up old topics time and time again; but here it goes.
The guy on NintendoAge (VirtualCOnsoleGamer) who says he is NOT UnpluggedClone (who has almost 100% been proven to be said person) continues to spin his lies. That is not my issue, whatever, let people believe what they want and get scammed. BUT now he is over there bashing DigitalPress and I just can't stand it, as he is getting others to join in because they have taken his side.

I think it's about 800mhz and running OS X 10.2 or so. Fairly out of date. Which might turn out a good thing, it should be just within the limit to support classic mac stuff. If I can find an OS 9 disc somewhere.
