The first vendor who I ran into, whom had a bunch or really old vintage items..I found a NES Plug and controller for $5.00

Free pair of pliers, small dc motor,SMS RF switch ,and headphones(by dumpster)

That was it..Found nothing else through the day.

I remember when that Spyborgs was first shown and it got a horrible reception because it was like a cartoon so then they went and made it into a gritty brawler.

Is it good?

I picked it up for ten bux a TRU earlier this year, and after playing it for an evening, I really wish they had stuck with the toon presentation, cause that looked a LOT more interesting.

Not bad for a brawler, but I wouldn't pay more than ten bucks for it.

If you decide to take it any further please leave me your Neverhood soundtrack.

>_>

Err... I didn't mention I did a random garage sale on Saturday, a "backyard" sale where everything had obviously been left out overnight. There was a black Gameboy in a case with a $3 tag on it. I was sure it wouldn't work but I got home and charged it and it works like a charm.

Also, in the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie record sleeve there was a 45 of "Song from M*A*S*H" along with the 12" record... Why didn't the record call it by it's proper name, "Suicide is Painless"? Meh, I dunno but I would have given the guy $1 for it, it's a song I really like. The 45 is a mono mix for radio stations but I don't see it being worth much.

Didn't realize the forums were back up and running. Shows how out of touch I am. I haven't been buying much since I am trying to get some college classes out of the way, but found a few things. A guy who works in my building was selling some laser discs, so I picked up some from him for $3 each. Thankfully he didn't charge by the disc, but by the title:

The Twilight Zone - The Creative Vision Volumes 1-3, each is 4 discs
The Beatles in A Hard Days Night (Criterion Collection)
Beauty & The Beast
Blade Runner (Criterion Collection)
The Minds Eye (Old computer animations)
Beyond the Minds Eye (Old computer animations) - This one has music by Jan Hammer if anyone remembers him.
Rollerball - The original, of course
Wallace & Grommit - Grand Day Out & Wrong Trousers.

He had about 60 more titles, but I didn't have the room or money for them.

I also picked up an inflatable sword that Working Designs was handing out at one of the E3s to promote Growlanser II. New for $10.

I have the soundtrack CD. :)

Also, he wrote the theme for Miami Vice.

Christmas comes early...

I've wanted a pair of Astro A40's for so long. My patience paid off when they finally announced a wireless mixamp. It was released last week...and it all arrived today!

The thing on the left is a brand new and sealed Zip 100 USB drive. It seems to be one of the last models Iomega ever made, all it needs is a USB cable for power. That was $3. The Office sets... well, I paid entirely too much for 'em, but I'll make it back. Eventually.

I also picked up a Star Trek TNG Wesley Crusher action figure, new in the pack, but the pack is all beat up. It'll be a gift for a friend.

Picked up a loose (w/ case) copy of Max (http://www.uvlist.net/game-179441-Max+Rubble+Saver+II), a European Game Boy game (also released in Japan as Rubble Saver II) at a Goodwill in my neighborhood in Los Angeles. Dig it when imports pop up like that. Also got a sealed copy of Doom II. $4.99 each.

Not much today, just a random headset for $3 and this.

These were $4 for the pair. They're a bit yellowed, which sucks - I intend to sell them, I already have like eight DC guns...

Hadn't been to a thrift in ages until yesterday. I found this stuff for a total of 26.37. They have now started bagging all NES, SNES, and N64 games and they have variable and higher prices than previously. This had been my favorite thrift, but deals have been getting much more scarce and now this makes it even worse. I thought I didn't have Little League Baseball so I grabbed it anyway, but turns out I do have it. Guess it is time to put my list in a form I can carry with me.

The Adobe thing still has its seal sticker along the top edge so I grabbed it, but I don't know anything about it and can't find any completed auctions.

Calculator seemed pretty cool so I grabbed it.

3DO games I couldn't pass up since I've only seen them in the wild a couple times. Also turns out I don't have any of these already, so that's good, too!

Talkboy has its original tape in it!

A couple items for the past week or so. First off a going away / thank you gift of sorts from my Nintendo representative. It's an unfolded Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary sign fixture. It folds into a big box and ends up being about three inches thick by five feet or so across.

And the RC-XD vehicle from the Call of Duty Black Ops Prestige Edition bundle. Someone got one over on the store and returned a couple Prestige Editions sans the game, so everything else was bound for the trash after being checked in for defective credit. Universal markdown ran it to $4.90 which is what I paid for the vehicle and transmitter. It works okay but the transmitter seems to be junk. I can control the vehicle fine, adjust the speed setting and microphone volume without issue but I get nothing on the display. I'd say it's a transmitter LCD problem since I don't get the Black Ops splash screen (should come up even when the vehicle is off) or any of the power / setting indicators on screen. It's just fully illuminated white the entire time. Oh well, still a fun little RC vehicle for five bucks. Curious though, anyone had a similar problem?

Nice. I haven't seen 3DO games at a thrift store in YEARS, and only once or twice ever. Shockingly, not too many people in Buffalo plunked down the serious cash for the console years ago.
