Most of you have probably listened to Buckner and Garcia's masterwork, right? I nearly wore my LP out when I was a kid from playing it so much. Since it's coming to the Rock Band Network I figured this might be a good time for this question.

I really like Defender, because that was one of my favorite games on 2600, and I don't care, I like Froggy's lament too for its kinda country sound. Pluck your magic twanger, indeed.

But I guess my favorite track would have to be Ode to A Centipede.

I don't even have to be charitable and give it extra credit for being about a video game, it's actually catchy. And I like the lyrics, I still remembered "The spiders are his only friends" years later. Although, that may be in part because it always puzzled me, because what about the fleas and the scorpions? Do they hate the centipede for some reason only Buckner and Garcia know?

The only one that kind of sucks is Mousetrap. You have to have a high tolerance for 80s pop to listen to the album in the first place, but even so I just don't dig on the soft rock groove in that one, man. And the title track, Pac-Man Fever, is kind of annoying.

Going' Berzerk! And it's ironic this topic was created recently, because I began playing the songs again a few days ago!

The entire soundtrack rocks, but that one in particular was the one that really caught my interest. The melody itself is simply fantastic and has this atmosphere that I really can't describe.

I like listening to both the orginal LP and remastered versions, and I love how both are different.

Here's my question.. is it going to be the original tracks? Or the re-recorded versions? Some of us want to know...

I'll be honest in that the only track I can bear hearing is Pacman Fever.

Heh, I still have the original vinyl album (it is in a frame now). Many years later, I also bought it on CD. Froggy's Lament is the best song, imo.

Pac-Man Fever all the way. I have the vinyl, but received it by mail cracked.

LOOOOOVE This album! I have it on vinyl and in MP3 form (The original vinyl rips), but it's hard to choose which I prefer, Goin' Berzerk or The Defender. I think I have to go with Goin' Berzerk in the end, the feeling of that track is just...awesome.

"Do the donkey kong", dancey as all hell as that fake-out fade-out... OH BOY!!!

Second place is "Mousetrap", even if it has the worst lyrics ever. I could see it used in an 80's chase scene.

I only downloaded the album several years back, I dunno if it's the original tracks or rerecordings, but looking at the Wiki info I believe I've only heard the rerecordings.
