Continuing with the TRON madness, I was visiting my parents over the weekend and decided to check out the local Walmart. A week before Christmas (last I was there) they were completely sold out of TRON Legacy merchandise but on this visit they had a few items back in stock and all were on clearance. Deluxe Lightcycles were down to $13.00 and the large figures with the light up faces were $14.00. Among the Deluxe Lightcycles I found what I had been looking for, the Walmart exclusive CLU Deluxe Lightcycle. While marked as CLU on the front of the box with the correct art all over, the top of the box is still marked for Sam Flynn. This is how they all are. Not a whole lot was left in stock, about half a case of CLU lightcycles and a case of Kevin Flynn lightcycles. Anyway...
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/finds/DP-Finds-2011-01-18%2801%29.jpg
Different design than the Sam Flynn lightcycle - split fin on the back, different front, different engine surround, the cycle goes over CLU's legs and of course a different design for the braking fins. The CLU figure also has the same head as the regular CLU figure but facing up, nice improvement over the undetailed Kevin Flynn lightcycle figure.

In hindsight I should have bought the others that were in good shape but oh well.
I'll have one more badass TRON find at the end of the month / early February. :D

Now that I have a cell phone with a decent camera, I've started taking photos of my finds again (I don't know why I even bothered to do that with my laptop's webcam). Here's what I got yesterday:
2600:
Fast Eddie
Flash Gordon
$2 each.

Dreamcast keyboard - $4.99

EDIT: Here's a photo of a complete copy of F1 Pole Position (SNES) that I acquired earlier in the month. This cost $2.50.

Stuff from Saturday and Monday. Holidays like MLK day they run 50% off at Unique, so I went over there to poke around. I was by myself... I'd never go on a 50% off day if I had to keep track of a kid or push a cart because the place is just insane. Usually have to park a block away, too.

Anyway, my total on the 2 sealed PC games, the Quiz Wiz, and the DS Nintendogs cart was $11.36.
I got the RC Wario car from SA for .99 and it seems to work fine, or at least as good as it is supposed to work. It was a Target return and only missing the banana. I also got Baldur's Gate Tales of the Sword Coast expansion for .99 to go with the CIB BG I got the other day, but this is just in the jewel case.

Ugh! My car's battery suddenly died on me yesterday, and it took until today to get a new one installed. It cost $250 to replace the dumb thing. Fortunately, my Dad was nice enough to let me borrow the money from him.
Anyway, on the way back from picking up my car, I found something that cheered me up a bit: Wild Arms 5 (CIB) for $6.99! The game is an ex-rental, but it's still in pretty good shape overall. I love the art book, there's quite a few pictures I'd never seen before in it.

$5 total. The 750 MB set is new and is already at Amazon.
I already owned Wendy Carlos' original Switched On Bach but since this is an anniversary edition, I figured, why not. The Jeremy Cornwell Project CD was the random blind buy of the day and it's brand new.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-01-19b.jpg
I call this the "gay cowboy martial artist demonic orc" combo:
Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon soundtracks: $1 each
Warcraft III + Diablo Hellfire: $3 for both
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-01-19c.jpg
Alan Smithee Presents: The Andy Griffith Show ($2) and Monks of Doom: Forgery ($1) were from one of my usual CD places. The DVD is supposed to be a "true story" narrated by the people who acted in those Andy Griffith episodes, but of course, it's fake. :P I already owned the first two Monks of Doom albums so I picked this up (this is their third one.)
The 100 Jazz Greats collection was $2. It has 4 CDs with random artists.
The Freedom Jazz Dance Series: Jazz Funk Revival, Blues Masters Vol. 7: Blues Revival and believe it or not, The Bebe's Kids Original Soundtrack were $5 in total. The bad thing? Bebe's Kids is a PROMO version with a bit of the back cut off! Agh! These were with a bunch of promo CD soundtracks which included Transformers, Babel, Saving Private Ryan and I forget what else. They also had the soundtrack to Superstar (that movie with Wil Ferrell)... but it had Wil Ferrell on the cover, which was enough to make me toss it back in the pile. Yech.
Oh yeah, this thing.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-01-19d.jpg
It was $5. It has a $270 price tag on the bottom! Apparently it's not worth as much as I thought it would. Oh well.

The Tomytronic handhelds were $0.19 each. They were marked $1.99 but toys were 90% off.

I'm not sure if you're serious about those soundtracks, but I HAVE seen them. I've passed on Mamma Mia (I don't like ABBA) and I'm not sure but I think I own To Wong Foo. That or I'm confusing it with the Priscilla Queen Of The Desert soundtrack, which I DO own.
I'm STRAIGHT, HONEST. Mostly. *coughs* I don't even like showtunes (that much)! :p

Holy crap! I've been looking for a DVD of that forever! Is it any good? Are you serious? I dunno. I got it because it looked pretty stupid. Who the hell makes a comedy track over Andy Griffith episodes? I'm not too familiar with the show but I AM aware of just how... classic it is. That's like making a comedy track for Night of The Living Dead - oh, wait... fuck (http://www.amazon.com/Laugh-Track-Night-Living-Dead/dp/B0000INU90/ref=sr_1_3?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1295484395&sr=1-3)...

Honestly, Kitsune, you have odd taste in music. Jazz, 80s Synth, and novelty CDs. Not that it's a bad thing. (psst, you should sell me your Jazz CDs that you have there). :)
Bebe's Kids is pretty awful, but the DVD sells for a surprising amount of money. I found one years ago, put it back on the shelf, checked online, went back to buy it and it was gone.

I can't remember where I first heard about such a crazy DVD. For those who don't know what it is it's a comedy commentary of a few Andy Griffith shows with the "director" of the show. Apparently the DVD's website only sold 100 copies. I would say it might be a rare DVD.

While I was transferring my video game boxes from cardboard boxes to plastic storage bins I came across something I didn't even know I had. It was a box for a gray Nintendo Zapper. I opened it up and the thing was brand new. Still has the original $29 price tag on it.
Coolest thing is, I didn't even have to go anywhere to get it.

$3 each at goodwill. Everything is the US version with case and manual (no cardboard box).
Andre Panza Kickboxing
Bonk's Revenge
Chase H.Q. (Hucard only)
China Warrior
Final Lap Twin
Ninja Spirit (missing spine sticker, but in real TG16 case)
Space Harrier (Hucard and manual only)
Yo' Bro
Last Alert
Super Raiden (PC Engine)
Ys Book I & II (I believe this is the pack-in version. It's a disc and manual in a white CD case with no back insert)
I'm still looking for values for half of these if anyone can help (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=150527). (that's why I posted here) I like a bunch of these games, but I'm still not sure if I am going to keep any.

Been buying way too much lately :-/
Finally found a copy of Dragon Quest V for the DS. Paid retail for a new copy ($40), but it beats what it's going for online.
Decided to try and get into old D&D PC games, so I picked up the "Gamefest: Forgotten Realms Classics" collection which has something like 13 or so games. But because I'm weird, i wanted a proper manual. So I bought the "Forgotten Realms Archives" manual, for a few bucks, which covers 12 of the 13 games. Figured I saved a few bucks that way.
I also wanted to try some of the other games in the series, like the 3 "Krynn" games, but of course I'm annoying and wanted the manuals. I stumbled upon an auction with a BIN for $7 or so that had old collections, complete with books. Collectors Edition Volume 1 and 2. Volume 1 is already covered in the other compilation I bought, but Volume 2 had all 3 Krynn games so that takes care of that! It also came with Eye of the Beholder 3, which is also covered already. Hopefully I can sell the games I don't want, to make up for the ones I want :)
Fortunately for me, I could care less what format I get old PC games in, as I'm going to download and run them with DOSBox anyways.

Three reasons:
1) The shop wanted to make sure it actually was the battery and not some other issue. So they tested the charging system which cost $50.00.
2) The battery cost $150.
3) And then there was all the taxes on top.
Also, these prices are in Canadian dollars.

Both for about $8.

Some garage here charge up to 50$ to check a code... and unless you got a performance car, no battery should cost more than 100$, and that includes Canada. I changed the battery in my girlfriend car 2 weeks ago and we got it for 70$ at Costco.

Lot sale yesterday. It was cold as heck and wet.
Also, not many new things. I got The New Traditionalists by DEVO on vinyl and also another record that has some old Italian (made) movie scores, which caught my eye because it has selections from Mondo Cane. I had heard about the Mondo films from The Cinema Snob's Bruno Mattei Show so I thought I should pick up that record. Both albums were $1 a piece.
Yep... and that's it.

-15F didn't keep me from my Friday Unique run (25% off), no sirree. Found a GC GB Player disc for 3.80, and MS Publisher Deluxe 2002 for 0.80. And a Dinosaur puzzle for my son.
Seems several of us had ho-hum finds for today.

UFC Undisputed 2009(360) $7.48
The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection $3.00
Gossip Girl $3.00
Kinect $54.99
The UFC game was on clearance at Target and the only worthwhile discounted 360 game to pick up there. The Ric Flair and Gossip Girl dvds were $4 each or two for $6. I only wanted the Ric Flair dvd but I know someone who will want the Gossip Girl dvd collection or I can just sell it. And $3 for an entire season isn't bad....even if it is for a show called Gossip Girl. And then we have Kinect.
Like the dvds it was spotted at Goodwill. It was a Target return(according to the GW employee I asked) that they didn't want to put back on the shelf. They had it taped up and I asked him if he was sure that everything was in there and that it worked and he told me that they always test opened items from Target before putting them out but assured me I had 48 hours to return it if it didn't work(I couldn't test it there anyway because they didn't have any 360's). So I set it up when I got home and have been completely blown away by the tech inside it. The voice commands are as close to all of those futuristic movies we are going to get and I even dig the motion sensing controls more than the Wii's.
I initially bought it because I figured I could sell it for a decent price considering I got it for roughly $100 off but now I think I might keep it. Kinect has been selling extremely well already but at this price theres really no reason to complain about it. It even has the free Kinect Adventures game so I'm set, although eventually I will want some new games for it. I imagine that when people show Kinect off to their none-gaming friends they will be far more impressed with this than they were with the Wii.

not really a big deal or anything....i'm a huge MK fan (2d versions anyway).....i found a complete mk 2 in minty condition with all original inserts for about $20 on amazon.
also got nba showdown complete but the box and manual is beat up. the game is in excellent condition for about $3.
anyway, i know these games are dirt common, but i always wanted to find mk2 complete on the snes ever since my original copy was stolen about 15 years ago or so.
also got pure, lego batman, and fallout 3 for about $20 total @ GS.

Not a find (I'm too poor to actually buy any games) but today in the mail I got the Professor Layton case which came free from Nintendo when you registered all 3 Layton games.
I was expecting something flimsy but it's actually really nice firm card, feels smooth and looks gorgeous. Very pleased!

I don't usually splurge for myself, but I could NOT pass up the Real Ghostbusters Complete Collection DVD set for $70. I almost paid $120 a year or so ago but the seller on eBay turned out to be shady and never had it in hand. This baby is complete with the BONUS DVD, booklet and has the much nicer steelbook cases.
I paid more than I usually do for SNES games at $6 a pop, but these are worth it: Castlevania IV, Super Metroid and Tetris & Dr. Mario.

Sure :)
This isn't my copy but I found a site with both sides of the box:
http://videogamemm.com/main/node/755
My only complaint is that on the spine there is no indication as to what's in the box. So lined up with my other DS games and all 3 titles boxed in it's just a block of brown. Minor quibble though.

Theres always Target merchandise at every Goodwill I go to and most of it still has the last Target clearance price on it. And you still get some GW's that mark a price higher than the last Target clearance price:roll: But I have yet to see any next gen systems or accesories there outside of a few controllers and a Wii Fit.
The Kinect was in a display case that also had a boxed Gamecube, an N64, an Atari flashback system and a bunch of pc, Xbox and PS2 games. I'm surprised nobody else picked it up considering it was $100 cheaper than store retail. But I suppose $55 is about $20-30 above "impulse buy" status.

Got a model 1 Sega CD. I can only use it on my Model 2 Genesis because I only have one 1602 AC adapter and the Sega CD didn't come with one.
It boots up the the BIOS screen, but no Sega logo appears. Also, how do you eject on this thing?

After it loads, you press the start button and it will eject. Alternatively, I think you can bring up the cd-player and there is an eject button you can select.

A few hours ago I got a complete boxed copy of Castlevania III, still in the celo wrap (but opened, with a complete but damaged manual) for $2. It was pretty cool because I just went in to peruse the DVDs and paperbacks, since they normally don't even carry games at all. It was the only NES game in the store.

I found a couple Atari XE/XL 8-bit computer games today, Tennis and One-On-One Basketball for $1.99 each. They were at a Movie Trading Company store in Hurst, TX, along with a Jungle Hunt cart that I passed on since I've already got a copy. Those were the only three, making me think that there were probably a lot more at one point but were bought before I got there. It's so rare for me to find Atari 8-bit games, and when I do they're nearly always commons.
At another thrift I bought this 1982 General Electric boombox. It's got a built-in black and white TV screen, and instead of a regular cassette deck it's got a micro cassette recorder! Plus, a small LED equalizer row of lights underneath the cassette door. Sadly the tape deck doesn't work, my brother and I will have to take it apart and see if it can be fixed. Still, it's a cool little machine that only cost me $2.99. Too bad there's no analog TV transmissions to pick up. It's got antenna screws on the back, so I need to dig out my old Atari switchbox and hook up a Pong console, to see how well the screen works.

Well, I've had some decent finds since getting my PSP replaced a week ago.
- Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (PS2. Used in very good shape; missing instructions): $28
- LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector's Edition (PS3. New): $80
Seeing how much I'm enojoying Persona 3, I decided to finally get a copy of DDS, after having the instructions for it for years now (To make things better, I found a copy that was missing it's instructions; making a complete copy). I haven't played much of it yet, so I don't have much of an opinion on it yet.
As for LBP2, I wanted to preorder it...but I kept putting it off and eventually they cut off preorders for it. However, I got lucky when I randomly dropped in this Friday, a few hours after finishing the first LBP; discovering there was one Collector's Edition left that had not been picked up, and it had been long enough since the game came out for it to be avaliable to anybody who has the money. As a result, I was able to get my Sackboy plush (Now sitting opposite to my age-old Diddy Kong plush on my shelf) and the exclusive in-game costumes (I like the Clank costume).

I found Tomba 2 yesterday for $20, it was a fresh trade in at the counter and I grabbed it as I once gave up on buying it for $17 and very rarely see it (though I've seen it incomplete at least 3 times in the last 6 months but almost never before that.
Unfortunately I'm in an area where there aren't many good places for hunting, but every now and them I get good finds. Lately most of my amazing finds have been Laserdisc though.

Flea market today, not that worthwhile for pics but I'll talk about the small bag of stuff I ended up having.
Firstly, there was a TON of records today, it was like every booth had them. It was like the twilight zone as it seemed (and I don't mean to be racist by saying what I'm about to say) that EVERY record I saw today was 70s/80s African American acts... soul, R&B, lots of Motown, funk, and bad 80s pop. I saw too much Chaka Kahn and Rose Royce today O_o. With the exception of one small pile of 80s music I picked through the entire place was like this. No offense to the people who like what I just named off, it's just not my taste.
Anwaaaays... I got 4 45s from a booth: one containing Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger", another with Tony Basil's "Mickey", a Doors single, and finally a Quiet Riot single (with "Cum on Feel the Noize") that looked interesting. Those were $1 a piece.
At another booth they had some PS2 games, $5 a piece. I saw a copy of Destroy All Humans 2 minty and complete I couldn't pass up.
At yet another booth there was a lonely PS3 six axis controller, model CECHZC2U, in silver. It is heavily worn and there is a sticky residue on top of the analog sticks. It does seem to work, I hooked it up through USB and it's trying to connect to a system. It was so expensive at $1. I think I can get a little for it even though it's worn out.
Finally at a booth there's this guy I know that buys closeout auction stuff from business and schools. He had a huge box of PDAs, mostly newer Palmone models. I was short on money but I did manage to get 6 (yes six) Zire 31 PDAs, all in pretty decent shape for $5 a piece. I remember selling a 31 for $30 in similar condition around 6 months ago, here's hoping they work and they haven't become entirely worthless. Looking on eBay right now I think I can get something like $25 shipped each for them if they work right and I clean 'em up.
Oh also a little LCD screen by Innovage. It's very small. It has brightness/contrast on it and power. I'll have to open it up and see if it's hack-able. $2 for that. If it works (and accepts the right kind of video input) it would be an excellent screen for an NES portable. I have no idea what it was for originally but I can tell it's a small 2.7" LCD TFT screen, and has a plug for power.
