pretty much stated in the title - will the third party light guns work for any of the guncon compatible games?

It will work only if it's Guncon compatible. Guncon Guns are similar to other light guns but have some specific changes that makes them more accurate.

They need to be GunCon compatible to work with GunCon games, and they need to be Justifier compatible to work with those games.

A GunCon compatible gun will need to patch into the composite video feed.

There's another problem.

Depending on your system, Justifier compatible games won't work with anything BUT the Justifier. My slim PS2 refuses to let me use any third party Justifier clone guns with the games... but it works just fine with the actual gun.

Guncon clones don't have this problem.

I'm not sure if this is specific to the model I have or what.

Also remember that you don' have to worry about any of those guns working with LCD, LED, or plasma TV's :(

Elemental Gearbolt is very light gun tolerant. All my PS1 guns work with it... I don't have the Konami gun though. Is there any others like that?

yeah, i have a guy trying to use a Naki gun with Point Blank on a PS1, and i was wondering if there may just be a compatibility issue there. i have other third party guns but i didnt want to send one out if hes going to have the same issues.

The Naki gun won't work for GunCon games, which Point Blank is.

would a nuby gun work with point blank? its dark blue, one of those thats for saturn or ps1.

No. I don't believe that those are GunCon compatible, for all GunCon games you'll NEEDS to patch into the composite yellow a/v wire.

There's two models, I have a version of that gun with Saturn and PS1 ports, and it has Guncon support - A/V wire and all.

There you go then. Is that the one that doesn't work in Justifier mode?

I have a couple of guns and neither work in Justifier mode.

One of these days I'll test all my Guncon / Justifier games to set the record straight.
