I havent been following this thread - which of these are worth getting?

I wouldn't recommend any of the 80-100+ in 1 carts, none of the ones I got had more than 4 games on them, which is low even for HK Multicart standards.

The carts that have groups of 4 recognizable/known NES/Famicom titles seem to be winners at the price that they're asking, though, be warned, as it is mentioned throughout the thread - the plastic quality on these things is the most laughably piss-poor plastic cartridge shell I've ever seen. It practically crumbles in your hands.

The good news is that the ROM boards are small and don't have any complex components on them, so you can easily pop them out of the cheap plastic, throw them in an adapter and they run fine.

I ordered 3 and only one worked in my Famicom. I'll fight more with the other two later. The one that did work was KT-8275. It has Alladin and Street Fighter 12P on it, the other two are just Super C and a wrestling game. The two that I haven't been able to get working yet were YH-473 and YH-4113.

The boards on these are small, try putting the board in without the cart shell, and don't push the board 100% of the way in, back it out a touch once it's seated.

Does the plastic have that cheap, ever so slightly sick-inducing smell that never goes away? I bought a Super Fun Joy Happy Rip-Off N64 Controller NOAC III about half a year ago and that wretched thing still smells of the cheapest and vilest means of manufacturing plastic known to China.

Can everyone that has these post the cart # and what games are actually on them? It'd be nice to have a list as I am sure I would order a few more of these if I knew what were the decent picks.

I second this. How about some recommendations and/or warnings?

personally I wouldnt recommend getting any of these, they are stupid cheap for a reason, because youre basically buying garbage. These carts are SOOOOOO CHEAP that they will most likely die in only a couple years.

I had a hard time getting mine to run in the Retro Duo with my Honeybee Adapter...got it working on the 10th time....

I really need to buy some cheap Gyromite with the Famicom Adapter in it

I wish I hadn't seen this thread. Just to let everyone know this website is a take-the-money-and-run enterprise. They cashed in on my paypal and gave me a bogus tracking number. No replies after that. There's some kind of alert with the BBB too.

I don't know about if this website is legit or not (I tried to order some games from there, but they wouldn't ship to Taiwan...maybe due to the rocky relations between Taiwan and mainland China?), but I must say that later I found a small amount of Famicom games in Taiwan, of the same cartridge mold, only with blue plastic as opposed to the yellow. The carts I found were also brand new, and actually contained a nice amount of quality games on them, unlike so much of the garbage that is usually on these carts.

I actually wrote up a review on the one cartridge, as well as a review on the current Famicom situation in Taiwan, but do not have anywhere to host these articles...I tried sending copies to NES World as I thought they might want the information, since they have so much info on pirated stuff, but never heard a reply so I was not sure as to whether I should bother writing articles and reviews on the other carts I picked up or not.

It's a sister site of Deal Extreme.

While there's certainly the possibility of having a bad experience with ordering/tracking/shipping/not getting an item, I can't agree that the whole site/operation is some kind of scam/front.

I've ordered many items from that site (and I order from DX almost weekly) and have never had any issues with not getting my items, there are also many other accounts from users in this thread confirming that they got their Famicom cart orders.

It's a sister site of Deal Extreme.

That would be www.volumerate.com (not plural). This one has nothing to do with DX.

I've spent several hundred on the site; one partial order that didn't arrive was resent after enough time was given to make sure it wasn't just delayed.

I would really not recommend any of these FC carts, not due to the site but due to the carts themselves. The cases are thin as eggshells.

This one has nothing to do with DX.

There were a LOT of discussions on Deal Extreme message boards that this site was set up to take the heat off of DX when Nintendo and other international authorities went after DX for all of the DS Flash Carts being sold on site/exported.

When all the carts disappeared off of DX, NDSCardsale popped up a few weeks later.

I know that they don't have any public association or link-sharing like Volumerate, but I'm pretty sure that they're related in some way...especially considering that the address they list for items to be returned is one that DX ships from:

Deal Extreme:

Room 225-226, Block B, Focal lndustrial Centre
21 Man Lok Street
Hung Hom, Kowloon
HONG KONG

NDSCardsale:

Return address for customers:

Room 225-226, Block B, Focal lndustrial Centre
21 Man Lok Street
Hung Hom, Kowloon
HONG KONG

I never could get the other two carts working properly (glitched graphics) but I really didn't expect much. I had absolutely no issues with my order though, everything went smoothly.

No problems here - ordered from them several times without issue.
