You are missing the Army training game that comes with an assault rifle for a controller.

Although I have no idea what it is called, so you may have it listed.

Battle Clash and Metal Combat, reason alone to own a Super Scope.

Cybernator, great mech game.

Where are all the Donkey Kong Country games?

I consider Final Fantasy Mystic Quest good, but I know some don't.

Kendo Rage ain't half bad.

On the Ball is great and unique.

No Super R-Type or R-Type 3?

I see you got some imports on there and there are definitely LOADS more good ones, but I don't know what exactly you'd look for in an import.

Here are some more possiblities:

Addams Family Values (has some flaws but still fun)
Brainies
Brandish (most people either really like or dislike this one)
Civilization
Equinox
Gemfire
Ghoul Patrol
Inindo
Metal Marines
Paladin's Quest
Super Rampart
Seventh Saga (most people either really like or dislike this one)
Shadowrun

A couple more SFC goodies:
Hamelin no Violin - Wonderboy style puzzle platformer
Do Re Mi Fantasy - Sequel to a NES game which name escapes me. Milons Castle something.
Sutte Hakkun - Neat puzzle platformer with one-screen stages.

Uncharted Waters (if you liked part 2) - I have an extra copy if you're interested :)
Bahamut Lagoon (JP - Translation is available)
Front Mission (JP - Translation is available)
Live a Live (Same as above)
Tales of Phantasia (See above)
Star Ocean (Same goes)
Ys III: Wanderers from Ys

LoZ: Parallel Worlds and Super Mario World: Return to Dinosaur Island are really good fan made games (rom hacks) that you can easily get on a cart. You can actually do the same with all of the games above that I mentioned. I have a translated copy of Star Ocean in cart form and it's really good. It's a bit of a beast to put together, but I'm sure someone here would do it for you at a price.

They also released JP copies of some of the DQ series if you're into that.

Hagane: The Final Conflict is also a pretty fun game but you're going to have to cough up $100 to get a cart.

Hagane: The Final Conflict is also a pretty fun game but you're going to have to cough up $100 to get a cart.

The JP Super Famicom cart is cheaper and I have seen it as low as 20 (I think 20-25 on avarage) cart only.

edit: The two loose JP Haganes currently on ebay are 40 dollars, but I think these sellers tend to overprice games.

I agree with the list of Super Famicom games Darko posted, assuming Ricther doesn't mind importing.

I would also like to throw in Mega Man 7, since I can't find it on your list. I thought MM7 was pretty good. I also have to agree with Shadowrun. Even if you don't like it, It's a unique game.

Although maybe not "gems", Super Back to the Future II and Albert Oddysee aren't too bad. They're imports though unless you get reproduction versions.

I know it's rather expensive but get Metal Warriors. Also Battletoads/Double Dragon both of these games are so much fun to play with friends.

I got one for ya! There's a fantastic Super Famicom game called Battle Robot Retsuden. It's kind of like Military Madness (aka Nectaris) on the TG16, but you fight with giant mecha instead of tanks. In the first level, you're alone but in later levels, other mecha join you and the computer controls those. There's no english translation, so I have no idea what the plot is about, but it only took a couple of minutes fiddling with the menus to figure out how to play and it is a ton of fun. Definitely worth checking out.

Try umihara kawase

It's a sort of puzzle platformer. You use your fishing rod to latch onto things to get to the end level door. Many levels have more than one door though so there's tons of different paths and levels.

A true jem. You owe it to yourself to try it.

My feeling is it's safe to assume, threadstarter, that you're familiar with sequels to games on your original list so that saves some time. There are already a ton of recommendations in this thread, but here are some more (which I don't believe have been mentioned yet) that I like enough to consider gameplay gems:

Aero The Acrobat 2 - a great platformer and a decided improvement from the first Aero.
B.O.B. - a highly enjoyable action platformer, worlds better than the Genesis port.
The Ninja Warriors - a quality single plane beat-'em-up with pleasing character diversity and depth of combat.
Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge - a crushingly difficult, but strangely compelling, platformer featuring a wicked soundtrack.
Super Bomberman 2 - not only is the multiplayer battle mode the fun one expects of Bomberman, the single player mode is surprisingly good.

Twisted Tales of Spike McFang was the first title I thought of when I saw this thread.

Agree with Drixxel, B.O.B. is pretty solid, it's sorta like a "mentally challenged Metroid" heh.

I second Brandish.

And one I haven't seen mentioned yet is Prehistorik Man. Really good platformer.

Try Mayuuou King of Demons, Rendering Ranger, Iron Commando, Undercover Cops and Biometal. Those are real rarities. Might take a while to find them, might even cost a little more than the usual mainstream SFC games

What, you aren't fond of SNES Bio Metal?! Haha, the pumping techno soundtrack may eschew taste and atmosphere in favour of hockey night hijinks but the cart is very cheap by comparison.

Aerobiz is really great if you are into oddball simulations. I also really like Street Racer, real good kart racer similar to Super Mario Kart.

Aerofighters is fun too, but you're gonna have to pay for it.

Import wise I really like Super Uno, although how much you like that one depends on how much you enjoy playing Uno...

You have Out of this World and Blackthorne, so if you like those, then I suggest Flashback.

Listen to these people. Metal Warriors was one of the handful of Super NES games I kept when I cut down my collection. The single-player mode's decent, and the two-player maze deathmatches are great.

There's also Cybernator, but the U.S. release of the game was censored, and the Japanese one (Assault Suits Valken) is...well, in Japanese. You're best off using a translated ROM of Valken to see the game the way it should've been released all those years ago.

Wild Guns is a great underrated game for SNES. It plays a bit like Sin and Punishment or NAM 1945 for Neo Geo, kinda hard to explain unless you see it. You target a recital and move your character at the same time. The game is just really solid.

I don't know if you like old school arcade games, but Mr. Do! for SNES is a great little game. People always compare it to Dig Dug, but it offers a lot more complexity in terms of gameplay if you ask me.

I'd also second Ninja Warriors. Get that one while you can, it has been shooting up in price like crazy. It plays a bit like a beat-em-up except you can't move up and down the screen, (moving up and down a fixed plane like Double Dragon or Streets of Rage), so you move straight forward fighting baddies, a la Shinobi. Great fun and a nice aesthetic.

Good luck,
Chris

You should know the Japanese box art and even title screen on both SNES and Sega, shows a Great Circus Mystery logo.

That is another tough game to find but so good. After Donkey Kong and Mario I'd say it's the best platformer on the SNES. Also if you love the game you can get Rocket Knight which is a sequel to it on pc or ps3/360. Pretty decent game as well.

In the strategy genre, I would humbly suggest:

Super Battleship
Pacific Theater of Operations (aka "P.T.O.") and/or its sequel P.T.O. II

Of course, I have not played those games in a decade or two so my childhood memory of them as cool games may be greatly mistaken!

Aladdin
Mega Man 7
R-Type III
Super Bomberman
Super Bomberman 2 (Really need to experience 4-player gameplay with a multitap. Taking mine to a bachelor party this weekend :D)
Tetris Attack
