Just played balloon fight for the first time, seeing that it will be in animal crossing thought i should see what it is about. About 2 secs into it I said to myself why would I play this and not Joust.Whats your opion?

i like the comedy aspect of balloon fight. joust was funny, but in a different way...this sounds like a seinfeld episode, lol...=^P

Sorry but although Balloon Fight was a great Joust throwback (and yes I did and still do play it), nothing beats the original JOUST!

No contest. Joust is superb. Balloon Fight is okay, but WAY too easy.
Everything about Joust is superior: better storyline, better graphics, better style, better cast of characters, better sounds.
And the lava troll. And the pterodactyl.

story? what story? balloon fight is fun because it's harder to suspend your disbelief. joust, i could see that as some sort of alternate universe medieval times deal, but balloon fight? what sort of gilligan would flap around with balloons tied to his ass? dada in a videogame. dali would play this one all day, i say...=^P

I like Balloon Fight, simply because there was more too it then there was in joust. Not much, but enough to make a difference for me.

Joust. This game was the reason I purchased an Atari 7800 back in 1988. If the Atarisoft ColecoVision version had been completed and released back when it was supposed to have been, though, I wouldn't have a 7800 today- most likely.

ballon fight, all the way! Me, willie and our friend lee used to have three-way highscore contests with this. The reigning champion's score was still up on his wall, until he finally stripped the wall paper off last winter ;)
