I really hat zelda 2. It's not the fact that it's hard, but the fact that the music and the stupid attack along with the annoying little enemies make it a game I just can't stand at all and would play 98% of other games over this.

You should try Battle of Olympus. The enemies at the start are so small you can't even hit them when you duck. You have to wait until they jump at your face.

For me, anything with "Dungeons and Dragons" in the title.

Have you played the JP Saturn ports of the arcade D&D games? They are fantastic.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

White Men Can't Jump for the Jaguar.

The gameplay actually isn't horrible, but man... you start single player and you have to win a bunch of games to earn money to enter the big tournament. I did this, and was thinking to myself, "Why do so many people dislike this, it's actually pretty fun!"

Then, the tournament is ONE game. That is it. The giant city tournament that you spend a whole bunch of games getting money to play in is apparently so big that it attracts one other team. You win, you're done.

Seriously? How hard would it have been to put in a couple more teams? To do something, anything to make it feel like my play in the first part of the game was at all worthwhile.

It's my worst game because I don't put up with games that suck... and for that one, it tricked me into beating it. I have never played it since, nor will I.

And I'll defend Last Battle as well. It's so quotable. "I serve the Duke." "What kind of being is Duke?" Or my favorite: "Arzakh, save the world!" "I will save the world!"No no..."ONLY I can save this world!" LOL

"Now you have the look of a hero!"
"What a hero you are!"

How can anyone not like this game? :)

Add another tick next to The Tick. I think maybe in my lifetime I've played technically worse games, perhaps something buggy or a little unfinished. Never before, however, have I played a game so monotonous and unfun in my life. I played for three hours, made it halfway through the game, and only fought three different enemy sprites. There are no special moves, nothing. There's barely any challenge.

Anything else would have been more interesting: Streets of Rage, Riot Zone, the worst old dusty Double Dragon port. I was hoping something would happen, anything. I think I would have liked the game better maybe if it was a complete unplayable mess. At least then I could have gotten a laugh out of it.*

*Although there is one funny part in The Tick. After the first forty minutes or something of fighting only palette swapped ninjas (no joke, only one enemy sprite) in the same generic backgrounds, you make it to a new oriental style level. You start walking along and see a sign in the background. "Welcome to Ninja World"! Then you proceed to fight ninjas for another half hour. I laughed, but the game still left a bad taste in my mouth.

This just got me to remember another bad game so bad it got a 1 rating by game informer marky mark and the funky bunch make my video. This is the only game worse than zelda 2 because everything in it sucks from game play to music.

I dunno, "Good Vibrations" was danceable, though awfully cheesy. I think I'd take that over Kriss Kross.

NES:
Deadly Towers
Fester's Quest
Rambo
Totally agree.

Most of the games mentioned so far are at least playable. I don't know how you can compare games like Fester's Quest or even Deadly Towers with something like Conan or Dragon's Lair for the NES. These last two games were essentially fraud perpetrated on the public and violated section 1(b) and 13(c)(ii) of the Federal Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Occupy Mindscape! Occupy Sony Imagesoft!

I just finished Plumbers Don't Wear Ties.
Need to play a vastly better game to cleanse my mind.
