View Full Version : TGNRMC - Eternal Champions Versus Little Nemo

We are having a little tournament series. It is called "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade for Modern Consoles" or TGNRMC for short.

How the tourney period works: Two games will go mano-a-mano per thread with people voting for their favorite. The winners of each bracket will face off against the other winners in the following brackets until only the winning "champion game" remains.

The rules: There will be one tourney match per day until a final winner is decided. All "champion games" are ineligible for future "THIS GAME Needs to be Remade" tournaments.

Eternal Champions challenge from the dark side. Do this game up like the new Mortal Kombat and you would have one good game.


little nemo, i would love for this to be remade with a cel shaded anime look to it like the timeless movie

Little Nemo here as well. One of Capcom's greatest games, NES or otherwise, that sadly slides under the radar for most people. Remake it and give the gorilla his damn cigar this time.

Eternal Champions needs a sequel to close out the unfinished trilogy!

Shame that Mike Latham was in the process of developing quite a complex story for the game, but it ended up getting cancelled in fear of competition with Virtua Fighter on Saturn...

Does Eternal Champions really need to be remade? What would you do, except maybe make the sprites in HD? Change it further and you end up making an entirely different game.

Much more potential in Little Nemo.

Eternal Champions of course. Add some new characters and some new finishing moves and you could have a good game.

Eternal Champions for me. The awesome character designs beg to be redrawn to a modern 2D fighting game standard and the series really deserves another lease on life.

Nemo. There's enough fighters right now, and EC was never really distinct enough in my mind to justify a remake.

EC for me. I should try Little Nemo next time I do some nes emulation on my Dreamcast though...

1. clean up the graphics
2. introduce new fatalities and boob-alities, and
3. make the game less difficult

So in other words the original game blew and it all needs to be tossed out and begun again?

Needs...
New characters.
New finishing moves.
New graphics.
New difficulty balance and more responsive controls.

So everything except the title of the game, right? LOL
