Just got a Lynx and I have a question...

I just ran across one in a flea market the other day. The owner wasn't sure if it worked or not, but I bought it anyway. So, I brought it home and put 6 AAs in it. Then I pressed the button marked "On" as I assume this is what I should do in order to turn it on, and nothing happened. I don't have any games for it (there weren't any at the flea market). Do I need a game for it to power on or should it do something without one?

Pretty sure it's a model 1 Lynx, btw.

Also, it just came with the system, is there anything else that should've come with it?

I'm fairly certain a Lynx won't turn on without a game in it.

I've made this EXACT mistake in the past testing my LYNX, actually went so far as to buy a new one thinking my old one had shit the bed.

Now I have two working LYNX'es and a COMLYNX cable to play multiplayer games, so, all is right with the universe.
