I totally forgot there's a thread for your finds here! This is what I've found since the beginning of August. All Yard sales and flea market finds.
Guy at the flea market had some gun games he was selling at different prices. I picked them all up together for $50.
CIB Lethal Enforcers w/gun Sega Genesis, PS1 CIB Time Crisis and Project Titan both w/guns, CIB PS2 Time Crisis 2 and Crisis Zone both w/ guns, PS2 CIB Time Crisis 3 w/2guns.

I never have luck at the flea market because there's only 1 around (next one is 75 miles away) and it's not all that big. But this reseller there opens up 1 hour later, takes one hour break and closes 1 hour early, he has a sign with his hours 7-12 back again 1-4 (the market is open 6-5) This is so he can get to all the other vendors before anyone else does. I've even heard he has friends and family go out looking for him. He's been very effective. Well this past weekend he was on vacation, so I think that's why I actually had a bit of luck. He's still on vacation this weekend as well so hopefully I'll have some luck again. Also tomorrow I have a deal pending right now through CL I'm hoping everything works out. It's for a N64 System, all hook ups, 2 controllers, memory card and Super Mario Kart 64 for $20. I'll post a pic if all goes well.

Deal went through. On the ad the lady had the cover on the N64 so I couldn't tell if it came with expansion pak or not. She showed up at the meeting spot and tells me she forgot to mention it comes with a game shark as well, and it also comes with the "old pluggy thing that goes in the front because there's a different plug thingy there" Looked in the bag and saw the jumper pak, opened up the front of it and it has the expansion pak in it. I handed her $20 and said have a nice day.

Expansion pak is pretty hot on ebay lately. Gameshark of course lets any NTSC console fit any NTSC game, notice both its top and bottom lack region tabs.

It's been awhile since I've had a decent find but that streak is over. Hopped onto Craigslist this morning and saw an ad for 40+ Atari games with boxes for $65, so i contacted the guy and asked him to hold them for me. When I arrived, here's what I got:
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9936/dsc0560ck.jpg
I took them home, unloaded them and here's what's inside the bin:
http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/7513/dsc0562j.jpg
53 boxed Atari 2600 and 5200 games. Most of these come complete with manuals but there are a few that don't. In the bottom of the bin there was also a bunch of Atari catalogs, manuals, and a few other interesting instruction sheets. Nothing really rare in here at all but for just over $1 each, they aren't too bad!

Excellent! I think I see a couple of gatefold boxes??
Yes, the Combat 01 and Air-Sea Battle 02 are! First I've ever owned. We've talked about this, that I really don't collect complete 2600 items, as the boxes are so fragile and bulky, but with a find like this I may start looking around a little more. These are just fun "conversation pieces" if nothing else - we all know they are basically worth a couple of bucks each, but so many non-gamers had these boxes on their shelves as kids and when they see them it usually sparks good vintage gaming conversation!
I honestly don't know for sure what I will do with them, but for now they are going on the shelf and in the collection.

So remember last week when I bought all those Star Trek CDs and the Oscar de la Hoya CD?
Well guess what.
I found another Oscar de la Hoya CD. And right under it was the extended score for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, brand new and sealed, to boot. I left the other CD behind. So now whenever I see Star Trek, I'll think of that moron. Dammit.
I also picked up a complete in box Spear of Destiny (floppy version) which includes an ad leaflet for Commander Keen 6, a random CD, and an Office 2007 Home Student edition for $7.

I think you speak for us all. What makes me MOST nuts about it is that they will put the sticker elsewhere if it's a valuable game. I'm like WTF?! Is it so hard to treat ALL carts with a tad bit of respect?
"This game is worth 25 bucks, lets keep the label clean. This one is only worth 5, fuck it."
Argh. Takes me hours to clean the stupid things up, and sometimes you lose a label in the process, especially stupid Majesco/Made in Mexico carts with their flimsy labels. Grumble grumble...

I've only very recently gotten into going to flea markets and yard sales looking for deals on games (thanks Flea Market Madness/Retro-Hunters/Game Chasers) We've actually got a couple of regular Flea Markets in my area, so I've spent the last few weekends scoping them out. I haven't gotten much yet, but a few things have turned up.

I also found this at a local Thrift Store

Trespasser: The Lost World (PC) for a Buck
Crappy game, but apparently kinda pricey on E-Bay! I'm not sure if this release was jewel case only, or it came in a box, so I'm not sure if its complete or not.

Ive got about 160 boxed 2600 games, and they seem to spark more interest than other boxed system games I got. They do seem to be a conversation piece as you said

Cheapest price on E-Bay right now is like $19 bucks. But that one's mine (because I was kinda hoping to flip it for a quick couple bucks to fund more flea market buying) It's priced between 20 and 40 among other sellers.
But of course a game is only as valuable as someone wanting to buy it. I've had no nibbles myself, and frankly I'm not sure dropping the price is going to entice to many people except the most die hard 'must have all PC games' buyer.

ACK! Sticker on the label. I hate that!
It seems lately most of these people are putting labels in the most pain in the ass places. For the longest time now whenever I come across most of these "DVD' type boxed games, they will actually take out the insert and put the stickers on the insert instead of the outside. You now have to be extra gentle when trying to remove that sticker. It has annoyed me enough to pass up on some games when I see that.

Picked up an HP DV6000 laptop from goodwill for $25. Was sold as is for parts. Had it up and running within two hours.
It'll probably be sold to buy a 3DS.

I'm surprised you found a laptop. Usually those are sent away to be refurbished and resold by Goodwill.
I went to the local "hole in the wall" thrift in town today. I usually don't go in there (they don't get a lot of donations) but they had a big 50% sale (everything in the store) so I took advantage of that.
Blip (pong-like handheld by Tomy) - 50 cents
Entex Galaxian2 - 25 cents (missing the battery cover but I can't complain)
Western Electric cs500dm - $2.50
Boxed TI-1500 calculator - $1
NIB 3-pack Sony MC60 microcassettes - 25 cents
Bentley BX-3 boxed - $1 (not worth much but it's for charity and you have to take chances sometimes)
Mattel Hockey handheld - 25 cents
Pack of composite cables (probably 12 feet) - 25 cents
Magnavox TB100MW9 converter box - 50 cents
12 foot Radioshack S-Video cable - 50 cents
Sunbeam Mixmaster HM-1 - $1.50 (if I can find a cable and clean it up, could probably get $25-30 for it)
Two eTower computers - $10 (5 apiece, good for parts)
Toshiba M785 VHS deck - $4.50 (I got $50 for a M-752 several months ago, I've read that this is a better model).
Gevalia WS-02A coffee maker - $1.25 (not worth much since it didn't have the mugs, might scrap it for parts)
Boxed Kraft Trackball - $1.50 (might be a cool modding project, has three buttons so I'm thinking Genesis mod)
Nike Jordan 384441-001 - $2.50 (need to clean these up but not a bad purchase)

They do sell laptops. What happens is they are sent away to the mean warehouse. All they do is test them, if they work then they are sold online. If they don't they are striped of the battery and power cable. Those are sold online, and the scrap laptop is then shipped to a retail store for quick clearance sale. The store I found this at had like 15 different laptops all older ones. This was the nicest one. They don't do any repairs on them at all. They didn't even have them out on the shelf I asked if they had computers, and game stuff in the back and this is what he brought out.
that is what was told to me by the stores manager.
He also told me they get laptops from Target along with the return items they sell. They had a fully working one from them a few days before I went but it sold for $249.

Trade it for a house.
Didn't find anything today at yard sales. One person was selling some games including a loose Gameboy Color system for $45, with loose games for about $18-$35 each. Okay, the games had the instuctions too but nothing was worth anywhere near the asking prices. Deja Vu I and II was the most expensive game at $35.

Tekken Hybrid, MJ: The Experience, Crysis 2 and LOZ: Skyward Sword were all Best Buy deals from their latest chapter of their summer gaming blow-out sale. I already had copies of Tekken Hybrid and Crysis 2, both acquired used for the same price. With Crysis 2 I mainly picked it up for the extra content of the limited edition and this one was the only limited edition they had left amid all the regular editions. The PS3 demos are Japanese imports, as is the Motion Gravure PS2 game. I picked up Silent Hill and Black Scorpion at Goodwill. Black Scorpion is a campy comic book style movie, although a comic based on the property didn't get released until after the movie was already out.

I hit three yard sales this morning. The first was a bust. The second was a community wide yard sale and even though I hit 10-20 houses I didn't find nothing worthwhile(I did pass on a 50 cent Donkey Kong toy though). The last yard sale turned out to be a make-shift flea market on the bottom of a church parking lot. While there I saw a bin that contained a bunch of games for various systems. When I asked the woman how much she wanted for them she told me a buck a piece. So I grabbed what I wanted and left all the sports and other non-interesting games behind for the next person. She also had a 360 play and charge kit but wanted $15 for it so I passed. As for the games, this is my first copy of Paper Mario but I'll probably still sell it with the rest of the stuff. And although I'm not into rpg's Grandia II looks kind of cool.

Dude, sweet. I've been hunting down that movie for a while now.
I thought it was related to Model By Day, a movie that I have been tracking down since I have the comics. But I watched it and I'm done with it so if you want it it's yours for the price of shipping it to you. It should be fairly cheap(no more than $5) to send it via first class international so let me know. And just to let you know, this is a screening copy so that message pops up occassionally(which makes this version rarer than normal ones) but it was also sealed when I bought it so you are practically getting a new copy.

Last week I got a nice score online that included "Atari and 70+ games". There was no list of games or description of hardware but it was said to all be in working condition. The price was $100 + shipping which was a little more than I wanted to pay, but in the one picture they took of the games, you could see a few gems, including Swordquest Fire and Earth, Pooyan, and about 15 commons so I thought there just may be a grail or two in the lot???
Well there wasn't but here's what I did get:
Atari 2600 Jr. with hookups and 3 joysticks (all dusty but working)
96 games - all loose (was expecting maybe 73, so this was a bonus!)
Most of the games were commons, but I did get some nice upgrades to ones in my collection. In general, the previous owner was a late-adopter, as all of their Atari games were either the picture label versions of early games, or the silver ones. Some of the standouts include:
Mr. Do!
Pooyan
Piece o' Cake
M.A.D.
Infiltrate
Gangster Alley
Quick Step
Star Fox
Mega Force
Turmoil
Fantastic Voyage
Fast Food
Spider Fighter
Pressure Cooker
and picture label versions of:
Superman
Adventure
Air-Sea Battle
Atlantis - day scene
Home run
Casino
Space War
Indy 500
I got about 20 games that are new in my collection, and can upgrade the condition of about 5 more, including Pooyan and M.A.D. and mega Force. Plus I did not own a Jr. system, so thats a bonus too. Did I get my $100 in value for taking the risk? Probably not but if I can sell the extra 70 games for $50 then I feel I did good.

Worst freaking collecting day I've had in a long time. I was THIS close to getting a PlayStation Net Yaroze dev system for $10.00 until the complete moron that I was buying it from just contacted me to tell me that he was moving some furniture around and demolished the console. I told him I would take it for parts but I guess its already been tossed in the apartment dumpsters and at this point I'm too freaking pissed off to go rummage through the trash at a shitty apartment complex. Jackass didn't know what he had. And I know what you're thinking "he figured out what it was or was dicking you around to begin with" but no, my BS radar is completely silent concerning this one. Just a scummy moron with a bunch of random game stuff they're dumping before they move into another scummy apartment.
It was only the console, one controller and the serial dongle but what a freaking letdown! I swear, I'm about ready to give it up over this one. This has to be the worst collecting burn I've gotten in years, maybe ever. No, I take that back, I've had equally as frustrating times dealing with asinine fuckers selling metal DDR platforms. Still... I'm out of the game for awhile. It could start raining copies of Illusion of Gaia while pachinko bunny girls dance in the streets and I still wouldn't care.

Wow, jcalder, you must really like gum!
Nothing much for me. Went to 2 thrifts today and didn't buy anything for myself. A $3 bionicle for my son and a book for my daughter, so they were happy. Got some motor oil that will be free after rebate, then on to Savers, where they continue to pile games into the glass case at higher prices than I'll pay. I'm guessing they just about only ever sell any on a color sale day (40% off).
Last friday we also went to a thrift and I got a couple new ink cartridges to resell and a GC Shadow the Hedgehog ($3) and a sealed Big Bumpin' (2.25). Will probably open the xbox game to play. I've played during parties at a friend's house, and it is a riot. Plus my wife thinks it is fun. I'm thinking it might be easy enough/not matter enough that a 5yr old and 2.5yr old can join as well. I never had an xbox back when, so this will be fun to get it out for.

I'm guessing they just about only ever sell any on a color sale day (40% off).

another favorite non video game find I just made today.
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/lawndarts.jpg
LAWN DARTS!
Found these sitting for 15 bucks still in its original box (although a lil worn out) with its manual (a lil ripped but whatever) and even 2 spare darts (although the blue one is broken) to spare! I snatched that shit up faster then a fat kid at cookie sample tray in a grocery store! Was at a local antique mall!
Let the impaling fun begin!

I picked these up yesterday for about $50. I have never really been THAT into anime but I thought it was a good price so I thought I would check it out.
Nice finds, I've been hoping to come across the manga for Battle Angel Alita as I've seen the anime and liked it. I have no idea on value but you have all of the volumes for that series, I think you're missing 2 volumes for Ranma 1/2.

At Target I picked up some clearance stuff:
Logan's Run (blu-ray) - $2.56
Invizimals Shadow Zone (PSP) with camera - $19.98
There were some others that I passed on:
Gears of War Triple Pack (360) - $14.98
Wii Sports Resort (Wii) - $24.98
Mario Party 8 (Wii) - $19.98

OUCH! I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Best Buy had the same Invizimals game on sale for $10 last week. :(
The Mario Party 8 isn't a bad price either really considering the premium that Mario/Nintendo games seem to command. All of the Targets around here have gotten away from clearance pricing games for some reason (well the worthwhile ones anyway). :|
Speaking of the Best Buy sale, I picked up Spirit Camera for $15 and Super SFIV 3D Edition for $10. GS is/was having a B2G1F sale on Wii games $14.99 and under so I snagged Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3, and got Excite Truck for free. :)

The Battle Angel manga is quite good and much better than the anime IMHO, it's a whole lot more fleshed out that's for sure. Those are the newer prints though with the smaller (now common) form factor for manga though, I have the original prints that are about the size of regular comic books which Viz was clearing out in the early 2000s. I'd bet you could get back the value of the lot just for the set of Battle Angel, the Ranma set is very nice though, never seen that many of them at once!

It doesn't matter, he's going to make everything back (and then some) on that beautiful boxed ZIP 250. Nice find on that.

I went thrifting yesterday, but came home empty-handed. The one interesting thing I did come across was Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Not the Dreamcast version or the Xbox game, the actual arcade cabinet. A store that's had the occasional arcade cab in it in years past (X-Men, Soul Edge, NFL Blitz, and one or two others I can't remember) and now this one. They wanted $899. It wasn't plugged in so I couldn't tell if it was working or not (it was probably broken in some way, considering there was something a little wrong with most of the machines that end up there) and there was a small wood base panel on the bottom missing. I have no interest in fighting games, but if you're in the Lewisville, Texas area, have a large truck, and $900 to blow, go check out the CCA Thrift Store off 121 a mile or so from Vista Ridge Mall. Give that puppy a good home.

-Eternal Sonata w/gamer guide $15
-The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim $15
-Mass Effect 3 (Collector's Edition) $15

Anyway, story time. I'm currently in the stages of moving to North Carolina from Georgia and I've been going through my basement. Finally got to my old toys today and I've decided to sell most of them. Unfortunately I don't have the space and they are deteriorating in storage. Time to let someone else enjoy them as I did many years ago.
- Tons of 80's GI Joes and accessories. Even a Tomahawk helicopter, even though it's pretty barren (I abused the hell out of some GI Joes back in the day). Even better is most of my GI Joes are at my grandmother's house and I'm going to hang onto those for now. I probably have 50 figures and several vehicles at my house and that's just, perhaps a quarter, of what I actually own.
- Couple of those 80's transformers. The small (I think 1/43) cars that convert. Really for parts/restoration but someone will want them. Never really liked those to be honest.
- Tons of 12" GI Joes and accessories. Some knockoff brands but back in the day, you could get a few knockoffs for one real GI Joe. Needed lots of men to do my little wars.
- Hot Wheels up the ass. Hundreds. From what I understand, my great-grandfather would buy them (and other crap) in bulk at auction houses for many many years. 1980's to very early 2000's because once the PS2 hit, I was done with most regular toys. Going to keep most of these though, great thing to pass down to any potential future children.
- Then to top it off, I found a few bags of Micro Machines. Sadly not all of my Micro Machines. Dunno if some were donated over the years or if they're at my grandparents house or elsewhere. I had one of those Super Army Van Cities back in the day, hopefully I find it somewhere.
- Have no clue what happened to my legos. I hope they're at my grandmother's house. Mom might have donated them or something many years ago. I had all kinds of lego sets and people. :(
Was pretty cool to go through the old stuff again. A lot of the stuff (many hotwheels, almost all the GI Joe toys, other older toys) were passed down to me. Purchased by my grandparents/great-grandparents in the 80's for my uncles, I got to enjoy them in the 90's. I was spoiled. Probably why I like 80's crap as an adult. Gotta love my mom too because she'd rarely buy me stuff when it came out but when those toys hit clearance, she racked up.
I'll have to put some pictures together before I sell them off. Like I said, going to keep the cars, some of the GI Joe stuff, and a few of the odds and ends I saw. I can't get myself to part with everything.

It isn't a "find". Though recently I had someone US/JP switch on VA2 model 1 Japan Megadrive. For practice so this uses its Power Base Converter hole. Third mod following cartridge lock arm disconnect, and lifting its subcarrier pin to reduce jailbars.
