Been slacking. Keep meaning to post, but then I get distracted.
This is the entire month so far.

Also picked up another 27" Sony Trinitron tube. I missed playing my light gun games ;)
AND I have 4 GBA micros on the way. A red Australian exclusive, as well as green, pink, and blue from the UK. I'm pretty stoked about those :D
After coming out of work earlier today, I went to shop at my local goodwill and found something awesome in the most unexpected place ^_^
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/Zamioa/31a817f6.jpg
-Sony in-ear headphones (Brand New)~ $1.25
-USB 2.0 to Ethernet cable adapter (Brand New) ~ $1.25
The Sony headphones were cheap and they come in handy whenever I traveled and want to use my mp3 player for those long listening sessions. The USB to Ethernet adapter will be used for the Wii since the wifi signal and speed (and lag) sucks in general so now it can be more stable and constant.
The last find I made today actually caught me off-guard, first pic:
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/Zamioa/0e147cdd.jpg
-Chess game board w/ pieces ~ $2.50
I found this at the toy section and it was in between a couple of other board games. I remembered playing chess back in high school and I decided I might buy one and take it along for game night with some friends. When I paid for the stuff and took them home, I was unboxing the contents inside the chess set and found this along with the chess board and chess pieces:

-Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (Complete and in Near Mint Condition) ~ Free
Wow, just wow. This almost mint complete copy of Lufia II was hiding in a chess game box this entire time? Just an amazing day for treasure hunting :)

Somebody must of hid lufia is that box so they could come back for it later. I used to do that and score a lot of things like that.

Curious as to what you bundle to make it worth $80. I usually sell a model 2 with a couple commons for $50 shipped.
Same here. Then again it sells immediately with no hassle.

I probably should have worded what I said a little better, it's been a few months since I sold one of these. That one was bought within two days and it wasn't in the best cosmetic condition. The market has really increased on Genesis/CD/32X in the past year or so and for whatever reason, the eBay crowd is willing to pay a small premium.

Someone's going to be pissed off when they go back. Should teach them not to do that: thrift store 101 is if you want it, you better buy it immediately.

Got one more big item this weekend that I will save for when I take a picture. It's worth it.... :)

1999 Pepsi Promo - Watto from Episode I! A close friend of mine who lives about 10 houses up the street from me had an estate sale because they are moving. I didn't even know that they owned this! Never saw it anywhere in their house but when I saw it on the sale day I knew he had to be mine. He isn't perfect, but at only $100 I couldn't pass him up! I've seen these at conventions sell for up to $1000, with the most recent selling around $800. Ebay doesn't have many, but he's worth at lease $500. Quite a steal!

Wow, that Lufia II find is awesome. I'm so glad that it was found by a video game collector and not some random person who just wanted the chess set and might've thrown Lufia in the trash.
Also makes me bummed that I threw away the box for my copy many years ago. :( I have the game, manual, and map, but I'd sure love to have a beautiful complete copy like that.

Don't let that $30 tag fool you, I got it for $10. Had a friend at this particular GameStop.
That pail is a McDonald's Halloween pail, the original 1989 witch (officially called the McWitch) to be exact. I had all of them when I was a kid, but I assume they were all tossed away at some point. I saw it in a bin at a local thrift store known for randomly having obscure items in stock for cheap prices (they always has a few collectors walking though looking for this and that, my old mentor used to make weekly trips there to find things to sell in his store). I figured 40 or so cents was worth owning it again. The witch was my favorite of the three.

A friend of mine brought me over a Pink DSlite with girly game in it to see what I can do with it(sell it)..he found in on a curb, scratched screen and taped in battery..works though..
I found a nice pair of Ray Ban Sunglasses in the grass at the park, they hadn’t even been used still in the case..I sold them on ebay within hours for $50.00(that’s free found money)
Ebay:
I got an old 1978 Matchbox Speedway Slot Car in the mail (police car)..but the second car I won so far is lost in the mail, the DC is still stuck at acceptance.I contacted the seller as day by day the tracking says delivery estimated later and later..the max date to receive was the 12th..Right now it’s to be here on the 29th..Seller says he handed it to the postal carrier..

I hit the McKinnney Third Monday Trade Days up in McKinney, TX and bought this stuff. Odyssey 2 controllers designed for the Atari 2600, Fairchild Channel F controllers for the Atari 2600, Spectravideo Colecovision joystick, an Odyssey 2 power supply, and an Elecom Egg Mouse for the MSX computer line and PC-8801 series. It's Japanese, and as far as I know the PC-8801 never made it out of Japan and the MSX might not have even been released here in the US (the Spectravideo computers from the early '80s predated the MSX series and weren't entirely compatible). I just wondered how this item ended up in a country where it can't be used, in a rustic flea market in Texas.

Did the Mansfield Drive-In Flea Market for the 3rd week running. I'm pretty satasified. I'm honestly suprised at how much stuff I've managed to dig up these last three weeks I've started doing Flea Markets as a regular thing. Especially since I keep going to the same one.
http://imageshack.us/a/img259/6320/mansfielddrivein3a.jpg
Mega Man Powered Up (PSP) + Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) both CIB - $7 (Don't own a PSP, but I'm enough of a Mega Man nut to scoop it up cheap anywhere. I'm sure a PSP will turn up for me soon enough. As for Xenoblade, I recall hearing good things. And its semi-recent. So I figured good deal.)
Nintendo Gamecube Microphone - $3 (now I can finally play that copy of Odama I bought 3-weeks ago!)
Nintedo DS Game Case - $Free (the guy wanted .50 cents, but neither of us had change. So he just gave it to me)
Sega Dreamcast + Memory Card - $10 (This was another week where I found some nice small stuff early, but things dried up. But once again on way back out of the market I found a stall selling a console I wanted. In this case a Dreamcast. Unfortunately it didn't have any controllers or an AV cable. But it did have a power cable and it came with a memory card. I sort of gambled on the idea that Dreamcast memory cards were getting rarer and were worth a couple bucks. That didn't turn out to be true, but it is nice to have. I'm not too worried about finding a controller, I'm sure one will turn up eventually. But hunting down an AV cables probably going to be a bit tricky outside just buying one online... Also the guy threw in a spare Playstation AV cable for free. Which was nice because I needed it for my PS1
oh and...

For those keeping track at home, I'm now 2 for 2 on free games in consoles I just bought. :smug:

I'm was surprised each game is in its own case. I was expecting a spindle or a ziplock bag.

All of this was found at a yard sale right around the corner from my house. I didn't hit it until around noon after I got back from all my other yard sales. Actually I wouldn't have even known it was there if it wasn't for the fact that I let an old man follow me to a nursing home to visit a relative since he said he was lost. So I saw it after turning a street and made sure to stop there before going home....literally 15 seconds away. The cds were obviously all a dollar. The PS1, N64, accessories and all the games were in a box that said "Playstation" on the front but wasn't priced. The PS1 itself had $15 marked on it but I didn't notice that until after I got home. The N64 had $10 marked on it. I actually didn't want either so I immediately asked how much the games were and since she couldn't find a price on the outside box(she thought she had already written one but had forgotten too) she just offered me the box with everything in it for $10. I happily accepted.

On my way to a big community yard sale I passed by another one on the way but that was about an hour from where I was going. I drove by at first and told myself I would stop by on the way back but then I turned around and decided to stop there first. I'm glad I did because I found a table with Gamecube games and the women only wanted a dollar each for them. Super Mario Sunshine was the only really scratched up disc but I have already resurfaced it. This was also the third copy of Sonic Adventure 2 I have found recently and I used it to replace my copy because it is in superb condition. Swim Fan has always been a guilty pleasure of mine and when I found that dvd at the other community yard sale for a dollar I had to grab it. I found it at the same yard sale I found the Playboy books at. I totally should have waited to buy my Lilo issue since I now have another one for alot cheaper.
The two DS lite systems were from a yard sale a couple days ago. They weren't out but they were advertised in the women's ad so I asked about them and she bought them out. The first thing I asked is if they worked and she said she didn't know. I then asked her how much she wanted and she said she didn't know. So I just told her to make them cheap and I'd buy them and she asked if $5 a piece was ok and I said yes. They also came with two cases and one charger and she thru in 6 games for free but they are all garbage. Finally, I picked up the art book at Goodwill. I can't believe somebody passed on it because it was sitting sideways on the bookshelf, meaning someone took it out to look at but didn't buy it. When I took it up to the register to buy the cashier started flipping thru the pages and I told her she was too young to be looking thru it(it has some nudity in it) but then she just smiled and said she was 40. I then told her that she's not allowed to be getting off at work while she's on the clock. I was just trying to get her to stop flipping thru my book.

Fffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.. .dge. Finding an Androbot is one of my dream finds, but I didn't think just stumbling across one in the wild was likely. You have proven me wrong, good sir! Has yours been stripped for parts? Even hollowed out, it's still cool as hell. Plus, think of all the things you could do with the casing! Replace all the guts with new wireless tech and turn it into a sentry when you're not at home.

Most of the parts are gone, some LED boards at the base are there, but I don't think much else. The person I got it from actually worked with Nolan back when chuck e cheese was starting. He does robotics, has a ton of interesting items.

I kinda remember they made a big deal out of this. I mean this is atleast 23 years ago almost they had the pumpkin, the witch, a ghost, and didnt they have a frankenstiens monster one too? And they had cool commercials advertising them and didnt they also give you your happy meal inside of it instead of having to lug around a extra cardboard container with it

Oh, yeah, it was a big deal for them. The pails were a few dollars more on top of the Happy Meal price. I'm not sure about the Frankenstien one. The site I linked to only counts the oldest models, but they did do a run somewhere near the 2000s that had a purple McWitch before switching to generic Halloween themed buckets.

The first buckets were from 1985 or 1986, that's probably around when that picture was taken.
I wonder how much it would cost to get all of the Halloween pail releases.
Not much, after seeing these posted in this thread I looked them up on ebay and most are only worth a few dollars if you're lucky.
I have a bunch of these from the 90's and later, I know I had the entire set of them whenever they were available as I used to eat there pretty often back then. I never got rid of much stuff from back then so I know I still have them somewhere, I really don't know how many I have but I'd have to guess at least 10 of them. These were included into the cost of the Happy Meal and the food did come inside them from what I can remember, I don't think we would have paid extra for these buckets as they were too small to be used for trick or treating. Since they were included we kept them, but that's it.
It seems there is a Frankenstein one out there, but only recently. Some people mix up the witch with Frankenstein for some reason, there were a few versions of this one.

EDIT: There was a cardboard Frankenstein Happy Meal box, maybe that's it.

I found an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard in a thrift for $4.79. There was still a sticker type seal over the battery door, so it's fairly new, it looks like any wear and tear took place on the thrift store shelves. It didn't work at first until I took the batteries out and flipped them around. I wonder if the previous owners couldn't get it to work, so they donated it? And all it took was to put the batteries in backwards. Idiocracy is coming true, I tell you.

My first finds of September:
Tales of Vesperia PS3 Version (New) - Technically, this arrived a week and half ago. But I didn't feel like making a post for a single item.
Ni no Kuni DS Version for $50.00 (Used) - I missed out on getting the US Wizard's Edition due to lack of funds. So, this makes up for it, as all I wanted was the cool spell book.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 for $10 (Used) - For some reason I had a hard time tracking this game down in the wild. You would think that it would be easy to find because it so terrible. Personally, I only find Sonic's gameplay bad. Which is ironic, considering he's the titular character.
The Photobucket site isn't working for some reason. So, I had to attach my photo instead.

I stopped at a small thrift after picking up Chinese today. Only the second time I've ever been in there but they had a few things.
Tecmo Bowl NES - $1
Dr. Mario NES - $1
Batman NES - $1
NIB Sony 12-in-1 Card Reader - $3
Mostly clothes, might have found a few things but I was in a rush. They had several other NES games but nothing special, or so I thought. I skipped on an Excitebike and Volleyball for $3 apiece but I forgot about the variants. I'll have to go back tomorrow morning and check them out if I have time.

Stopped at a couple of stores yesterday including one of my favorites - FX Game Exchange in Plano. Trey had just gotten in some new stuff this week from a guy who bids on abandoned storage rooms so I found a couple of things:
Pokemon Sapphire version - complete with everything, and box is PRISTINE. Doesn't even look used. $25
Dragon's Lair (Sega CD) - complete and very nice - $7
Three Stooges (NES) - loose but he just gave it to me for free.
Plus, all this came out of my store credit, so it ended up costing me $0 out of pocket!
Then went to HPB and picked up:
Thunder Strike (Saturn)
True Pinball (Saturn)
Revolution X (Saturn)
All for $14, all complete in nice uncracked cases.

Steve Earle and the Del McCoury Band / The Mountain
Brian Tyler / Law Abiding Citizen soundtrack (new)
The Benzedrine Monks of Santo Domonica / Chantmania
V/A / Pay-Per-View Summer Soundtrack
V/A / Back to the Future Original Soundtrack
$1 each. Fun thing about that Chantmania CD, I actually found it a month ago but left it because it was slightly water damaged. Hee. :P

Warcraft III Battle Chest (case w/keys only) - $1.50
iLife '11 - $1.50
Visual Basic 6.0 Learning Edition - $1
The following items were a pretty surprising find. I found all of these in a single box...
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2012-09-19e_zpsadb05717.jpg
Return of Arcade Anniversary Edition (disc in sleeve)
Claw (DVD version, disc in sleeve)
Wing Commander IV DVD Interactive (two sealed, one opened)
$1 each, so $5
This is the fun part. Someone sold a used version of that Wing Commander IV for SIXTY DOLLARS a few months ago. Opened. D:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2012-09-19d_zps22c7acc6.jpg
Mac OS X Discs - $1 each
And this is the other weird find. One of the discs is a "Drop-in CPU" upgrade version that Apple includes when someone buys a computer with an older revision of Mac OS. So if you bought a new computer with OS X 10.3, they give you this so you can install 10.4. I can probably sell it.
The other is an Apple Internal Edition version of the program. Disc 1 should be fine, but disc 2 is the one that has... all the weird stuff. It has lots of professional software, in pre-activated format. Stuff like Filemaker Pro 9 and Office for Macs. I mean, wow. Just... wow. This could be worth a lot of money to the right people, I just don't know if I can sell it or not...

Through work we have the ability to get games at a discount, but only first party games, and they decided to start clearing out any of the older stuff, so I jumped on everything. After going through everything again, i found out that a good chunk of them are "not for resale" versions!

And now the best find I've had in a while:
Conker's Bad Fur Day for $3.00 (Cart Only) - Again, I bought this to flip, as I never really got into the game. The prices for it are really climbing these days!

Got an early jump on the weekend. An acquaintance of mine was looking to unload a bunch of games. He wanted $20 for the two boxed ones two weeks ago. But I managed to wait him out and talk him down to $8. For some reason he threw in two loose games along with them. I was really confused about that. But anyway...

Mega Man Anniversary Collection (PS2) is CIB
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (GCN) is missing the manual
Legacy of Kain: Defiance (Xbox) is loose
Devil May Cry 2 (PS2) is just disc 2
The big score here is apparently Sonic Adventure, which is apparently a $30 game (even being a Player's Choice release). The Devil May Cry 2 disc has me a bit stumped though. I thought I might be able to just get on E-bay and pick up a loose Disc 1 to complete my set for cheap. And I can, there are a few around for like .99 cents (+$3 shipping, mind). BUT. I can get it CIB for like $5 (including shipping) too. So its not really worth the effort. What should I do with it do you think? Just keep hunting the wild for a mate until I find one?

I had to drop off a carload of goodies at the local thrift store and went home with a few things.
Pit Fighter SNES - $.50
NFL QB Club 98 N64 - $.50
Battlestations Midway Mac - $1.00
I didn't pay attention to the Mac icon on the Battlestations packaging. I doubt it'll work on Windows but I hope it will since it's "Intel Only" and not a PowerPC game. Probably the last time I'll go out there since I'm finalizing my move this week. Had a bunch of PS2 games they've raised the prices on yet again, now wanting $2.50 for disc only titles and $5-8 for boxed titles. Had a bunch of PS1 controllers too but at $5 apiece, they weren't worth buying.

It won't work. That "Intel only" thing just means it won't work on PowerPC based Macs.
Try selling it on eBay, Mac users love to pay way too much money for games. :P
