The graphics aren't being remade for Sonic Adventure 2, but both games are getting the High Definition, Wide-Screen release treatment this October 2 & 5. For $10 (800 Microsoft Points) each, the NiGHTS into dreams... with Christmas Nights bundle and Sonic Adventure 2 are going on sale as part of the "SEGA Heritage" line. The "Battle" portion of Sonic Adventure 2 (added for the GameCube re-release) will be sold separately for an additional $3.00 / 240 Microsoft Points.

Both of these games are great, and NiGHTS is looking impressively colorful with its updated visuals. The days are October 2 for PSN, October 5 for XBLA. Both games have had Achievements or Trophies added. No PC Windows release has been announced.

Jet Set Radio (Jet Grind Radio), similarly updated, is releasing around September 19 on PSN/XBLA/PC.

Awesome. I never got a change to play NiGHTS, aside from an in store demo.

x-mas nights being added in is such a great addition too. That game alone has at least 6+ hours just trying to get all the collectables. I loved Nights when it first came to the Saturn and still own both today, but I will probably download this on my 360 as an excuse to play them over again.

NiGHTS is a Day 1 purchase for me, esp. since I have multiple copies of the original and they won't boot on my Saturn. Ugh!

I'll wait for the inevitable Sonic Adventure 2/Nights/Jet Set Radio XBLA bundle.

I was unimpressed with the NiGHTS PS2 port. Hopefully they put more effort into this one.

I thought this was basically going to be the PS2 port ported to PSN/XBLA? The screenshots and details really made it look that way, with a sort of HD coat of paint.

NiGHTS was ported to the PS2?

As part of their budget line of games. Didn't get out of Japan though.

I suspect if Panzer Dragoon, Virtua Fighter 2, or Sega Rally ever get ported again that all three will also be based on their PS2 ports just like this one appears to be.

Aw nertz. I hoped this would pave the way for a whole slew of Saturn ports.

Time to bring Panzer Dragoon Saga HD Sega! Do it!

Supposedy the source code is lost for it, so don't hold your breath for it. If that's accurate, pretty much their only choices are emulating the Saturn (Something Sega seems to have no desire to do) or programming a recreation of it from the ground up (An expensive proposition for a 3D RPG, particularly one that didn't sell millions of copies the first time around). Not even a PC port to fall back on to port like Sega has done before.

The code is surely far too complicated to reverse engineer it and then port it as they figure everything out. Beyond things like Pac-Man and Frogger, that essentially becomes a non option due to complexity.

Unless someone stumbles across the source code, I suspect Panzer Dragoon Saga will remain a Saturn exclusive.

Got these on the Saturn and will be a day one buy for me. Just hope they are Saturn ports!
