Yeah! This has been the best week in a while. $2 each for the PS2 memory cards, the Dreamcast lot was $25, BTW the DC is a Kiosk unit, that'll go great with my pre-release rental unit and my NTSC-U V0.

Good finds on the PS2 memory cards, especially the ones sealed! ^^

All 4 are, though there is some staining on 2 of them.

Sounds like a case moded and chipped xbox. Team Xecuter is a well known mod group in the Xbox scene.

Gambling Table top Game $1.00
Free Key Chain Lights

Xbox It works,I will take screen shots pictures of the menus..as I plan to put it up for sale..it needs a cleaning.looks so sharp when on..

When it's on via no game in the system the center light stays RED and the blue scren lights up with data..With an xbox game in it the center light is green and the blue screen is off..
As far as it looks it's empty or roms...has a bunch od menues, locations things you can do,,

I took these in a rush last night

Here are a few pics of this months finds so far:

http://imageshack.us/a/img217/1621/dsc0254st.jpg

Took my first overseas trip two weeks ago to London, England. Tried to find some goodies, but they were very few and cost a LOT!
Micro Machines 96 (Genesis) - complete £4
Micro Machines 2 (game Gear) - £2
Magical Tetris Challenge (GBC) - £2
Thunderbirds (GBC) - £2
Majesco's Rec Room Challenge (GBA) - £1
Krazy Racers (GBA) - £2
Rolo to the Rescue (Genesis) - loose £2

I really wanted to get some Xbox games and a few others, but baggage space and cash were limited so I mostly went with small carts.

http://imageshack.us/a/img191/4892/dsc0256bh.jpg

Complete NightStrike by TG Software. Cool thing about this game is that it was produced here in my town of Plano in the early 80's and it was designed and sold by one of my friends' Dad! TG was his initials. I never owned any TG stuff because we moved away in 1983 right when he started producing it.

http://imageshack.us/a/img515/7291/dsc0255hg.jpg

Tekken (3DS) $8.70 clearance from Target
Pokemon Emerald (GBA) Not for Resale- $60
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl (NDS) Not For Resale - $40

Both of the NFR's have the Property of Nintendo sticker on the back. Very cool.

http://imageshack.us/a/img715/1118/dsc0253cj.jpg

And this weekend at Half Price Books (prices are after taking off a coupon):
Playstation 2 Console (original black fat) - complete in box with two controllers, manuals, etc. $29
Mario Paint with Mouse (SNES) - $5
Fighters Destiny (N64) - $1.50
Stunt Racer (N64) - $24

There have been a few other miscellaneous buys but I don't have pics yet.

Picked up one game today. Hype: The Time Quest for $2.

I saw the title and picked it up. It's a Playmobil game so I thought it was a creativity studio or something, but no, it's an action-adventure game. I had to get it when one of the reviews called it "...the PC's answer to The Legend of Zelda."

I guess Playmobil wanted some of that Lego Island money, huh?

Today's finds include Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Fighters Edge variant), Spin Jam, Bust-A-Groove, and Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter in a Street Fighter Alpha 2 case with manual and back cover for $1 each. :D

That other CD is from last Friday. It's a "SuperCharged Xpansion Pack" with 500 levels for Doom, Doom II and Hexen.

Oh and I also got this for the cost of shipping. The seller said she bought the dance pad bundle just for the dance pad and had no use for this, so she was giving it away. I asked for it, and there we go. The disc inside is Greatest Hits though, which is weird.

Assorted games I've picked up over the last two weeks from non-flea market sources

http://imageshack.us/a/img685/3430/mall1c.jpg

Gran Turismo 2 (PS1) $4 - Found at local Goodwill

These next three games I picked up from a local game shop that seems to be pretty cool. They don't seem to overchange on common games and their selection is kind of nice. Blanking on their store name at the moment.
Mega Bomberman (GEN) $4 - Its Bomberman and the price seemed right.
Ghouls'n Ghosts (GEN) $5 - Since you can't see the name of the game on the front of the cart I randomly asked the sales person to pull it out so I could get a look at it. I was pretty suprised at what game it was, I didn't even know there was a 'Ghosts 'n Goblins game on Genesis! And the price was only 5 bucks, so I had to have it.
Out of This World (SNES) $8 - Been wanting a copy of this game for a while. Figured 8 bucks wasn't too much for a game I wasn't stumbling over. I also found a copy of its Sega CD sequel (+original) Heart of the Alien. But it was running $30, so I passed on it. I might break down and get it one of these days.

My game library continues to grow, to the point where I've had to reorganize again, and I need a new display solution.

I have yet to find Bust a Groove in the wild. Central Florida really sucks for good finds since there are way too many resellers here.

Original Xbox with those mods not too much anymore. Anywhere from $40-$75 if you can find the right buyer. The Wii and PS3s are able to do the same stuff at this point and are more up to to date. I personally wouldn't pay more then $30 for it and I would be looking at just the mods. The systems are near worthless now.

Down here you can get $150 or more for a modded XBox with games. I know a few people that buy them up to sell like that.

Well worth it despite having Dragula. :P (I kinda hate the song since it's been overused for years.)

So...

I went on an unplanned trip to the US to do some shopping and we stopped by the dollar store near the outskirts of town. I was browsing a shelf while I waited for my turn to pay and I saw one of those baggies that contain random comics. One of the comics was Spawn / Batman. The other... was this.

I had no idea it existed, and it's apparently a prequel to Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare. o_o

Thank you Kit..

...................

I am having a good time with this new toy(and my kids) ..It has games on it that I no longer own or ever owned..
Showing my Son Atari 2600 ENDURO =this was "my" cool racing game back in my day..It looks perfect on a 42 LCD TV too..He had fun playing that..
Going one by one showing him games from back in the day.
I haven't looked into the hacks, protos, unlicenced, overseas games on it yet.
...it has a nice music player if you don't want to hear the games sound..
................
Someone installed NAZ and JAY Z on it..

(I am a In Hand Game Guy(I wan to own the original),I don't know emulation at all,for me to have to DL all this stuff ,or had to buy a system to do all this would never happen for me..For me to find something like his already done is a goldmine..

This thing has so much on it,it could take us a year before we ever play everything on it..if we played daily..

Between the selection of games this has on it and my Xbox Debug Kit,It's amazing..Two Toys That are Priceless to me..I would never have the room or money to own or store everyone one of these games on them....

Some other recent finds I forgot to mention.

Jeopardy SNES cart. Some back scratches but plays fine. Probably not a keeper given what kind of game it is.
Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick. What I do with this depends if I can learn to care about flight games.
Epson PPC650 digital camera, a bit smaller than my Kodak one. I'm slowly exploring less bulky models.

Yes there really is a Farcry movie. Unfortunately it was made by Uwe Boll so this may have been the worst $2 I have ever spent. Hello bootleg!

I know it may not bother the rest of you, but I'm getting pretty damn tired of seeing bootlegs on used media store shelves, especially when people end up buying them.

To the OP: Please Teacher is out of print, so if you decide you want to get the Bandai set, I'll see what I can do for you.

Snes jr is the second one i've seen in my life (own the other that a friend bought new back in the day) was only 10$ at savers

36o controller has battery and works like a champ, I don't play 360 anymore, but coudln't pass it up for that cheap (if anyone has a spare ps3 controller and wants to trade up i'm game)

oddball genesis controllers were 1-3$ each, always wanted to try the turbo touch conroller after seeing the adds in egm and gamepro, 10 years later I now have the chance!
Famicom and n64 carts were 1$ each (got a perfect dark as well but gave it to a friend)

1942 is an unusual find, some sorta emulated pc version for pdas but does work in regular pcs, pretty interesting find, I wonder if they have done others in the series?

Maybe, but if I can help someone get the legit R1 DVDs at a decent price, I'd like to. I had seen, about a week ago, a Please Teacher complete set locally for much less than the $70 people are asking on Amazon. I'd gladly pick it up if it's still available.

I feel that bootlegs should not be seen as an alternative to legitimate product just because it may be expensive. So much more anime is out there that can be enjoyed legally that the bootleggers AND the people taking advantage of the Bandai Entertainment USA closure can go blow. Yes, it's frustrating being a Sailor Moon fan hoping for a license rescue that may never come, but until then, I'll be enjoying the Sailor Moon I do have along with other great series.

Anyway, this is a discussion for another thread. OP, if you want me to check on that Please Teacher R1 set for you, PM me.

Actually, yep! Turns out the thing was coded by Larry Bank, who wrote the CAGE / HiVE arcade emulators in 1998/99. Capcom released 1942, Commando, Ghosts 'N Goblins, Legendary Wings, Vulgus and Section Z for the platforms.

So, I sort of impulse bought a complete in box copy of Actraiser 2 for $20 today and am having a little bit of buyers remorse. Did I over pay for it? Or is that about right? It's complete with manual, world map poster, and even game registration card.

For $2 on the secondary market, I consider them temporary solutions to out of print stuff.
If something is out of print I'd rather just download it for free until I can find a legit release, I won't buy a bootleg of it. The only bootlegs I would consider owning are of things not officially available in North America, or even available as an import release.

A complete copy is worth about $20-$30 so you didn't get ripped off.

I saw an ad on craigslist today for a Nintendo 64 system with 2 controllers and hookups for $10, I went to pick it up and it was actually a cheap famiclone so I passed on it. Bah.

Does it say what kind of PDAs it works on? Is one of them the Palm OS? I just want to know if it's compatible with my Tapwave Zodiac, another game for me to keep my eye out for to fill out its meager library. Hell, the Gizmondo had a larger range of titles than the Zodiac.

From what the box/manual states, it's compatible with : compact ipaq pocket pc, and standard pc cdrom, doesn't specify anything further.

I might have to try to hunt down the commando release, I really like the packaging on this one.

It runs on Windows CE according to the links I posted. The OS was apparently compatible with normal Windows at that point in time.

I think I have the same software but in different packaging, I'm looking at the case right now and it says "For PDA and PC's Windows 98-XP". These are all jewel case releases, still brand new from 2003. All sealed in a Blockbuster blister pack.

I have 3 volumes of games;
Volume 1
Street Fighter
Street Fighter II Championship Edition

Volume 2
1942
1943

Volume 3
Commando
Gunsmoke

The 3 volumes have different requirements for PDAs;

Volume 1
Samsung Nexio S190 Pocket PC w/900k free (Street Fighter Edition included only)

Volume 2
HP/Compaq iPaq Pocket PC with 900k memory available (1942 Edition included only)

Volume 3

I hate bootlegs too but I didn't realize it was one. The thrift stores and Goodwills around here are known to sell bootleg games and dvds but they are usually very obvious. The Please Teacher set, from the case and disc, do not resemble the typical bootlegs seen around here. I just grabbed it because it was a cheap anime complete series and thought I scored a good deal. But I am just as much against buying and selling bootlegs as you are.

Thats about the cheapest you can find that game for these days, give or take $5 or so. Are you keeping that Crow cd or looking to sell/trade?

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2029.jpg

Star Wars: KOTOR(Xbox) $4
Star Wars: KOTOR 2(Xbox) $3
Star Wars: Battlefront 2(Xbox) $3
Star Wars: Republic Commando(Xbox) $3
Dark Cloud(PS2) $2
Dark Cloud 2(PS2) $2
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga(360) $3
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed(360) $3
Kinect Joy Ride(360) $4
Tekken 5(PS2) $1
Street Fighter: Alpha 3(PS1) x 2 $1 each
Halo: The Cole Protocol novel 50 cents

I found all this stuff at a bunch of yardsales today and the book at a Goodwill. Most of the games are doubles that I decided to grab because of how cheap they were. Nothing spectacular but an average/ok day I guess.

I understand where you'd have a hard time ID-ing some bootlegs; some of them just take the R1 disc data, compress it, and slap it on half as many DVDs as the R1 has. Between the "how to spot bootlegs" panels at OMGcon and the bootlegs I've seen locally, I've developed eagle eyes for them. If you want me to try to pick up the R1 set of Please Teacher I had seen recently, I'll check if it's still available and get it for you if it is.

I'm going to respond the same way I responded to you when you asked me what was so special about Lindsay Lohan's Playboy issue earlier this year: she has a vag *shrugs*

While I doubt the term "sex sells" is lost on you, what you may or may not know is that "sex sells for good money" , regardless if there is even any actual "sex" present within the product. So items like the PS2 game/dvd in question are indeed worth much more than the average PS2 game.

It was never pulled from circulation and although it was a somewhat limited release(for a PS2 game) it was nothing along the lines of something like Metal Gear Solid 3 limted edition. She also has a pretty big following in Japan.

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while since I've been in the process of moving but I'm situated in now. Over the past week, I've found the following:

- Huge box with Xbox console, 12 games, several controllers and cables - $25
- Boxed copy of Half-Life Platinum for PC - $3
- Boxed copy of Microsoft Visio 2002 - $1
- Boxed copy of X-Files for PC - $5
- Genesis Controller, Genesis Turbo Controller, Saturn Controller, SNES AV cable, CIB copy of ESWAT for Genesis - $10
- An old Uniden Bearcat table scanner - $5
- General IRT206 laser thermometer - $5

Between flea markets on Wednesday and Saturday, I found all of that. Passed up an Atari 600 XL lot for $20 (guy wouldn't accept the $15 I offered), a Gamecube for $20, an Xbox with four controllers for $40, and the thing that hurt me most: a nice MVS Neo Geo arcade cabinet for $200. I had the money in my pocket but no place to put it so I had to pass. Guy had it turned on and it looked great. Would have went nice in my last house, not so much where I'm living right now.

And today, I scored pretty nicely with some old PC games at the local thrift (all boxed and $2 apiece):

http://i45.tinypic.com/5amb68.jpg

I'm not too sure on how much the Inca and Interplay (Frankenstein Through The Eyes of the Monster) are worth. Inca also had a CD-ROM copy of Inca II inside so that's an extra bonus. I spotted the obvious gem while I was in the store, it looks CIB. Might keep it and a few others for myself but they'll have to go in storage for a while. My new place is really small and I sadly have no room to display anything right now. With the exception of Shivers (missing the insert so it's bent), most of the boxes are in good condition.

If anyone is interested in any of those other than the 1942 and Caesar, let me know.

Yeah, unfortunately PD isn't as valuable as I thought. I should've grabbed Diddy Kong racing instead! I still might be able to get something decent for DK64 though, as N64 stuff still sells pretty good in my area.

But before I sell the games, they need some serious cleaning! They're pretty dirty, and some guy wrote his name on them in permanent marker.

Does anyone know a way to get the marker off? I've got a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but I've read conflicting info regarding it's effectiveness.

Isopropyl alcohol usually takes off permanent marker easily. It can even work on labels, though it could remove the ink too on some labels. It only happened once or twice for me, usually it's fine for labels.

Goo Gone never really worked well for me with marker, I think it can but you really have to scrub at it. Isopropyl alcohol just needs to be wiped over gently for a few seconds.
