-Assassin's Creed III: Liberation PS Vita Bundle w/ Hori Face Cover case ~ $140 w/ promotional coupons (Original cost was $179.99)

I got this wonderful package during Amazon's Black Friday "Gold deal of the day" sale and it arrived recently. I have been thinking of buying a Vita during the holiday season and it was too good of a deal for me to pass up so I brought it at that time-frame :)

SATURDAY FLEA MARKET..

Lots of bikes..nice bikes..I like bikes..new and old bikes..they had a Trek 230 identical to mine but with a different color scheme.I was interested in it for my son though he has like 12 bikes already...I didn’t even bother asking price as I know the guy, everything to him is worth hundreds.
........

PS2 Broken..$25.00..This system has been there for months at $30.00..I offered $25.00 and bought it as I have a buyer who requested I find one for him..

Electronic Talking Football..In box complete,paperwork,Styrofoam
Game still wrapped in plastic..$10.00
I owed his before and have a yellow version around here somewhere..
I had to buy this,I never find stuff like this at flea markets anymore...

I picked up some stuff today that I will post tomorrow..the Xbox 360 items below I have in my possession now,I have to test it and resell..

My Friend picked up:

I bought some systems. I got a complete N64 with a red expansion pack and 3 BS games for $25.00. I got a GBA SP with a spongebob game for $5.00, I got a Sega 1 system only for $5.00. A Wii system ( a little beat up, but complete ) for $30.00. I got a Xbox AV cable for $3.00 and the best deal was the Xbox 360 with a HD DVD player, 2 controllers, a hard drive and cables for only $20.00

From the last few days.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (360) new $11.98 @Target
Dark Souls (PS3) new $5.98 @ Target
I love the Target clearance rack.

Duke Nukem 64 (N64) cart & box $8
Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) loose cart $3
Roadsters (N64) loose cart $3
Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64) loose cart $3

Also found some good Black Friday deals, but I felt lazy & didn't post it. It was heavy on PS3, but I'm sure many of us found good Black Friday score.

Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection(360) $11.98
Batman: Arkham City GOTY edition(360) $15
Devil May Cry Complete Anime $4
Xbox demo disc $10
PS2 Merchandise dvd $10
Mahou Sensei Negima 2(PS2) $3
Save The Last Dance cd $3

Just a few things I picked up over the last few days. I didn't know there was a Devil May Cry anime until I saw this at Goodwill. And I had been waiting for this Xbox demo forever since it's a variant that I have had the sleeve for, for the last few years. And yet it doesn't work despite the fact that it has clearly been resurfaced:( No telling how long it will take to find another one of these. Also, I'm not a Metal Gear Solid fan at all so if anyone has the Silent Hill Collection I would be glad to trade this for that one.

FILL YOUR BIN bulk purchase. $15.00

Honestly when I walked up to the stuff it looked like a lot of junk..until I moved the clothes on top of the bins..

The first thing I grabbed was 'a spider man trading card sleeve,I'd had paid a buck for it alone..then digging through other bins I find a stack of the cards(punisher etc....ugh gotta grab these..sure guys climbing over me to look like I found gold, moving so fast he almost knocked me into the bin..
My wife starts digging ,she grabs a yankees monkey for her dad, cabage patch doll, new thermal baby bottle bag..I find another bin with misc gaming stuff I pour it out into my bin...Then I notice a gamecube, games on a table..kids electronics...I pass.... and the DJ Hero stuff...I ask price on the PS2 set up,(throw it in the bin I'll give you a deal-ok)..then I see the Xbox 360 DJ Hero 2 set...I grab that too..Super Heroes Stamp kit...

That was it...I was worried I'd had bit off more then I could chew and the filled bin price would be $$$$$$$$$
$15.00...Wow!!!

I was checking out the kitchen counter CD radio player when I first started looking.. so the vendor says'take it too, places it in my bin.....

There was lots of stuff left..things I think I could of flipped for sure but I didn't get greedy and take everything,I felt kinda bad tha the vemdor only charged me $15.00..they have to pay for this stuff to..
I didn't want to push my luck, being greedy then trying to get the gamecube, its games and other items..so I thanked the vendor and left..

I'm excited about the cards ..but looked them up-YEP EBAY THEY ARE WORTHLESS,But very cool so a keeper..after spreading them out I was like WOW!!
Some say 30th anniversary 1962-1992

The vendor then says grab a bin-fill it,I'll give you a great deal..My wife wanted the box of new straws(they had big boxes of them)

AS a card collector i'd have snatched those up too, but yeah the marvel masterpeices series were all over printed and not worth much (a full set of any is like 10$) still fun to look through at the very least!

Yeah I'd give Xbox 360 a fair chance. Assuming you don't already have one! Huge library, much of it now very affordable.

Thank you..

I put a bid on a new Microsoft XBOX 360 HD DVD Player in the box..they range about $35.00 in box new..
I will probably lose it as I didn’t bid high..but if I win I will pay for it-display it on my boxed system shelf...
......as I snagged a whole set up today for $20.00 shipped..

I plan to test the deck in the pick above, then sell it...This way with the set I bought I can figure out what PS is needed as I have bins of power supplies

No start up disc needed, just plug it in and connect to XBL.

Massive, overwhelming amount of stuff. I bought a guys whole collection, some I had already, but I will still highlight. Scroll to the bottom for what I paid!
Highlights
Spiderman Web of Fire Boxed
Knuckles Chaotix Boxed
Sega CDX Console
Sega Nomad
Mario RPG
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker

5984
A decent stack of SNES games, I happily added Raiden Trad and Actraiser to the collection.
5985
I already have the more impressive games, but I hit 300 Genesis games with this haul.
5986
Web of fire! Chaotix! and... I don't know anything about the others!
5987
Nice set of boxed/complete N64 games.
5988
My first Saturn! I've been dying to get one!

Page 2.

5989
A few demo discs and stuff, not really into it.
5990
Basic Dreamcast stuff, nothing special. Works great.
5991
Two, count em, two 32x Consoles, two Sega Genesis/CD Combos, one is busted. Nomad, and CDX. Adapters galore.
5992
Box of basic atari stuff.

The whole set was 400 dollars.
Pretty damn cheap considering a CDX and Web of Fire Boxed are worth that or even more. I'm cherishing those of course.

Thanks for looking!

I found these last Monday.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2012-12-03.jpg

The one on the left I have no idea what it's about. I think it's a romance manga. And yes, those are dudes. I think.

The one on the right is a Phoenix Wright manga, I have no idea what it's about but it seems to be comedic in nature, at least from the pictures. Then again it ends with Edgeworth trying to take Phoenix's shirt off while they're on the ground and that little girl shows up and faints, so. I dunno.

You should know by now that you NEVER have to be embarrassed/ashamed of any of your finds, regardless of how.....unique they may be:wink 2: Hell, half of us(myself included) own atleast one Cho Aniki game. It's all fair game when it comes to finds.

Gran Turismo 4 for the PS2 (all i am missing now from this series is number 5! ^_^) 3 bucks at goodwill

One of my favorite video game finds yet is the other item. A relative of mine had one of these many many years ago (late 80s really early 90s we are talking).
Its a Videostak game organizer ya know designed for the Atari 2600. It holds 2 controllers, the power supply, and 30 titles.
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/IMG_0567.jpg

and then also the console on top

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/IMG_0568.jpg

Its missing the plastic top. and its kinda rough shape. but i found it at a local store called junktiques for free so i couldn't say no at all to it.

This is a combination find/tech advice post.

Just found a loose, scuffed up PS3 at goodwill. @_@ CECHG01 (fat 40GB model but appears to have an 80GB drive). Powers up, works with the AV cable, charges a controller on the front USB port, but nothing happens when you tried to feed it a disc. If you press the eject button it gives you the "nothing in there" beeps, but if you try to insert a disc, nothing happens. You can almost feel it hitting a switch or something at halfway in, any farther feels like you'd be forcing it.

Only paid 50 bucks for it and have 7 days to take it back. What say you, DP forumites? Worth fixing? If so, how hard to replace the drive (assuming that's what it needs) and where's a good drive source?

Probably had the laser replaced and was incorrectly reassembled, you may not even need to buy a replacement drive.

I got a replacement Xbox controller extension separator whatzit thingy. $2 (down from $3).

I -did- see some okay movies but the seller wanted $4 each and they were either sunfaded or waterdamaged. I just left them and walked away. Jeez, freakin' sellers.

Edit: Woo, got THE KING OF SOUNDTRACKS '94-XIII in the mail today! The cardboard is a bit worn but the discs are mint. That was $7 shipped.

Interesting, and makes sense, because the warranty sticker's gone, and the screw under the rubber foot wasn't there either. Cover slides right off. Previous repairs (or attempted repairs) would also explain 40gb serial number and 80gb drive. Said it had 64 out of 74GB free.

Me too, and I think I may have found the culprit. Somebody's definitely been in there before. Probably did a laser swap. Oddly enough.. the little sensor that sits on top of the drive and says "hey somebody just put a disc in me" is missing. As in not there. As in completely not attached...

Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold(360) $12
Two Doom novels 3 for $1
The Black Eyed Peas Experience(Kinect) $7.48
Power Up Heroes(Kinect) $14.98
Child of Eden(360) $4.99
Assassin's Creed(PS3) $5.98
Wii U pamplet free

The SXT, BEP and Assassin's Creed games were all Target clearances. They had some other stuff for sale but these were the only ones I was interested in for the moment. I'm waiting for a few others to drop in price. I used store credit to pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold at Gamestop. Power Up Heroes and Child of Eden were from TRU as part of their BOG1 50% off sale. And the two Doom novels were found at Goodwill. They were three for a $1 books along with the Shades of Grey book in the next pic. It turns out I even own the first Doom novel but it has a different cover and is an earlier printing.

Mario Golf(GC) $4
Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack(Xbox) $4
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2(Xbox) $4
Fifty Shades Darker novel 3 for $1
Silent Hill: Homecoming soundtrack sealed $3

Can you say "instant Gamecube collection"? I knew you could. Somebody decided to get rid of theirs or atleast thats what I assumed when I saw all of these games at Goodwill. Most are in mint condition and many of the disc looked new and untouched. Interesting enough I already have most of these games with the exception that my Gamecube collection is 90-95% factory sealed. Now I'm debating on rather to sell these ones or the factory sealed ones for a premium. MVC2 was the first game I picked up before seeing the other shelf with all the GC games. I left behind the Sonic Mega Collection because it was missing the disc and Wave Racer, 007: Night Fire and Luigi's Mansion because....well, I didn't want any of those:) The Silent Hill soundtrack was buried beneath the gazillion cds they had, thus making it literally a buried treasure. This was all from a Goodwill I hadn't visited in weeks, if not a few months. I'm glad I went back when I did.

Me too, and I think I may have found the culprit. Somebody's definitely been in there before. Probably did a laser swap. Oddly enough.. the little sensor that sits on top of the drive and says "hey somebody just put a disc in me" is missing. As in not there. As in completely not attached...

There is more to it than that, on early drives there is a white arm that must be properly aligned or the disc will jam, anyone who would botch a repair job that badly would probably forget to align the arm. There are also many gears below a small plastic panel, these gears are a pain in the ass to align, those gears are used to block the disc slot when a disc is already in, they also pull the disc in.

Nice price on the games,my local goodwill got some gamecube games in but they decided to charge over 10 bucks for them:grrr:

PS2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater NFR demo disc was $1.99 at a Salvation Army. U2 Zoo TV Live (2 CD fan-club set, complete and in great shape) was $2.99 at Goodwill. Grandia II is case and soundtrack CD only; it and the discs-only Night Trap cost $6.30 after 30% off sale at a different Salvation Army. That SA also had a tragically disc-less PS1 Digimon World 2.

ON (12/8) I attended a Toy Drive For Sandy Victims with my family..I had a lot of toys to donate..
We had a great time..My wife won a bunch of raffles and I came home with some nice swag..
The owner was fully involved, and his family there..which was cool as I’ve never met them..

..,
Saturday
I went to the flea market..rain on my parade again...
NOTE: you can’t soak up rain with newspaper..

I picked up two items:
This Old Peanuts radio for $3.00
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/2012%20PICTURE%20ALBUM/SWAG011.jpg

And the Clock hidden to the right..It’s a gift for someone.

As it started to drizzle,I started jogging through the market with my Son,I see the clock and stop short,I need this,it’s something someone mentioned they wanted..,,,
The Clock was $30.00 and well,It was exactly what was looking for so price really wasn’t an issue....
I walk up to he vendors area and a lady is BLAH BLAH BLAH-mumbling at the vendor on the price..,the vendor says, well I’m leaving,I’ll take it home but I can go $20.00..BLAH BLAH BLAH the lady goes again....I just got tired of the jib jab.. ..I ask over her as she was undecided ‘What’s he price again?..$20.00.Bam Sold...The lady then turns to me BLAH BAH BLAH,I could not understand her,I think she caused me out in another language..

Saw this cool RED LINE bike..

Sunday:
I took a drive to a very small flea market..It was HORRIBLE..they packed all these people in a gym,the rest stuck in halls or getting wet in the small lot entrance..there was no parking..The lace stunk of hotdogs mixed with a stopped up toilet.

I picked up this PS3 Box for free,it’s complete inside just no PS3..

I want that Grandia II CD. *sniff*

So yesterday, a seller at the flea market got a huge bundle of books. Nerdy books. Tons of Star Wars and Warhammer novels, as well as a bunch of stuff I've never heard of. Since they were two for a buck, I started to dig around and found these:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2012-12-10.jpg

There was also one Halo novel (The Fall of Reach), plus the Splinter Cell: Conviction and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine novelizations. I didn't pick up the last two because the books had weird stains on the edges.

And yes, I did pick up three Star Wars novels: Shadows of the Empire and Timothy Zahn's Specter of the Past & Vision of the Future. Too bad the original Thrawn trilogy was nowhere to be found. :( I also picked up three William Gibson books (two novels, one short story set) and "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark", which I picked up because of that Cracked article.

Finally another cheap expansion pak. Now my third N64 sitting around can be prepared to test and sell.

Kill Bill DVDs = $2 each.
N64 Spider-Man = $5
Snowboard Kids 2 = $5
N64 Expansion Pak = $1
USB extension = 70 cents
N64 VRSユニット (voice recognition unit) = $1
Microsofr optical USB mouse = $1

I got a call out of the blue from the son of a guy who met me at a yard sale. He asked if I was the guy interested in vintage video game stuff. So I went to his house and was told that he wanted $100 for everything. I didn't even bargain, I just paid his price. I ended up with 2 snes systems, 2 nes systems, 3 ps2, 2 n64 and 95 total games. After sorting through everything I had all the cables and controllers to all the systems except for one of the n64s. The highlights of the games are: Kirby's avalanche, super metroid, super punchout, super mario all-stars/world, super mario allstars, the peace keepers, dk country 2, 3 mario worlds, romance of the 3 kingdoms 2, goemon 's great adventure, zelda and mario for n64. Also got a new and sealed nes 4 score!

Holy crap, man, that lot's an amazing find. Can't imagine how much it's all worth.

Got some kickass genesis steals online the other day.

For a total of $8 shipping included, all of these genesis games, carts only:

Phantasy Star II
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
Vectorman 2
Marble Madness

Also picked up the following games with boxes, shipping included:

Aero The Acro-Bat: $5
Rolling Thunder 3: $6.50

The seller notes some stickers on these so it may be a bit of a challenge to clean them up, but I've dealt with too many to count and I'm pretty good at removing all types at this point (though the VOID VOID VOID ones are still a pain in the ass.)

Phantasy Star II and Rolling Thunder 3 are probably the highlights of the lot rarity/value-wise, but I'm happy to add all of them to the collection. I'll post pics when they arrive.

Ok, I paid more for this than I wanted to of course, but it's been a bit of a grail game for me to find. It was at a game store that knew the value. It was priced $199. I traded in about $105 worth of junk and paid the difference.

Found two games the other day stopping by the thrift store on the way home:
Street Fighter III: Third Strike - Dreamcast $3
Lethal Enforcers 1 & 2 - Playstation $2

SF III: TS is a nice addition to my Dreamcast fighter selection and plan to play some with the Agetec stick. I bought that stick a few years back for $12 to play JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, finally a Street Fighter game too. My Police Trainer arcade is a conversion from a Lethal Enforcers, I suppose playing through the Playstation will most certainly do. The live action gun shooters of the 90s were real cool at the time, but they age terribly.

Yes....this is the second time it happened as I hear,I still have the smashed black 360 from the first time..
.It’s a tough issue, you won’t catch me smashing things but them two bump heads bad..

I also have a 360 that I bought at the flea market..$20.00..The guys wife found out he was cheating on her, when he came home there went a 360 flying at him..
....the sad thing about that is,I saw his wife and she wasn't bad looking..him on the otherhand looks like he got hit by a truck,or 360

I am a believer in saving things if possible.
I gutted what was left of this system last night..took the pcb out of the bent shell, the pcb isn't cracked..the square plastic pin blocks in the power supply port are gone and the pins were bent,I straightened out the pins..I also reset the tray in the drive..
I set the system up on my kitchen table out of shell but with fan, drive and control board plugged in and the system turned on..I first wanted to make sure it turns on,not to RROD..before I go any further.
But I can’t get the DVD drive to open without the faceplate thingy,I gotta figure out what the rod pushes on the drive..or figure out what button on the control pcb board syncs a controller.
Today I have to hook it up to see if I get video using a portable dvd player with AV inputs..I’m trying not to run it long like this, but I want to make sure it’s savable and I’m nt waisting my time
...after that I plan to remove a power supply port from another parts system and pop this board in a RROD system shell..I need to buy a better soldering iron, something that will remove-suck up the solder.
Coincidentally: I’ve been selling the stack of used ,broken, semi working 360s I’ve collected in the last few years,I sold one this morning....but this one plan to keep if I fix it..I’d like to find some type of custom shell..

I went to a local buy/sell/trade kind of store today and found an NES toploader w/ controller, RF, and very scary power adaptor for $15. The store owner is pretty cool, he initially said $20 but said would you buy it for $15? Sure. I asked for a bag and he threw it into a backpack (not pictured, old Samsonite) that he gave me for free. Never had one of these before. (Never had a toploader before, have lots of old backpacks :))

It is a event cart for distributing that character to people with the game. Those are usually the only ways to get certain pokemon.
I'm sure it has a decent value to some pokemon people.

Edit: I misread your post slightly. Either way it does have some some value to certain nfs collectors and pokemon collectors. It also does do something probably something pretty darn good for people that actually play those games.

The Witcher 2 bonus dvd and game soundtack $4
Doom novel 50 cents
Dead Rising 2: Off The Record(360) x2 $8.98 each
Half-Life 2(Xbox) factory sealed $4

The Witcher 2 dvd and Half-Life 2 were both from Goodwill. I assume the bonus dvd and soundtrack were from the PC limited edition of The Witcher 2. Lately I've been noticing quite a few factory sealed Xbox, PS2 and PS1 games at Goodwill but 99.9% of the time they are sports games. But this was one of those rare 0.01% times. The Doom novel was the final one needed to complete the trilogy of Doom novels, the other two were found the last time I was there. I also found some razors there. Finally, the copies of Dead Rising 2: OTR were Target clearances. They have started to get some really good clearances there recently, just like old times.

Is it valuable? Yes. Is it rare? Yes. These are carts that give out special pokemon (normally legendaries) via WiFi to specific versions of the games. Most of these newer ones will only work when the internal date of the DS thats broadcasting the signal is set to the right days. Otherwise it doesn't do squat. If you'd like to sell it and get some monies for something that you actually want, I'd love to trade you some monies for it. I'm a DS NFR collector and love me my DS NFR's.

I haven't found any games recently, but I did get some new anime for my collection.

Starting from the top left of my attached picture, I found:

Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water Volume 2 for $3.00 (Used) - After watching this volume, I want to grab the rest of the series. Unfortunately, the prices online are insane because it's OOP.

Appleseed: Ex Machina for $5.00 (New) - I enjoyed the first film, but I found the cel-shaded cgi to be a little too cartoony for an action movie. This film made the animation more realistic, but the plot is worse.

Pretty Cure Max Heart: The Movie for $5.00 (Used) - This is my first experience with the PreCure series. This series seems like a goofier version of Sailor Moon. (Although, SM has it's share of silly moments too.)

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles Season 1 & 2 for $29.99 each (New) - I've read a bit of the manga, and I enjoyed it. So I figured I'd probably like the anime too. I've watched about ten episodes of season 1, and so far it's as good as I'd hoped.

I remember when I bought Nadia at Best Buy in like 2004 or so, and the cashier just laughed at me.
(I also remember when the GameStop guy actually said "What the fuck is this?" when I bought Pocky & Rocky.)

Only two times I've had a store employee criticize my purchases, and both were good choices.

I've watched the whole series a few years ago. Most of it is good, but a large part of the middle is pure filler as they were asked to increase the number of episodes after the network found the series to be popular. These filler episodes are pretty bad.

A bit of trivia, there was a nod to the show given in Gunstar Heroes.

Finds while Christmas Shopping. Bought at a local reseller that has a pretty good track record of pricing good games at around 6-8 bucks.

http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/9162/mall2f.jpg

Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA) - Bought this thinking it was just Gunstar Heroes ported to the GBA (that 'super' is a bit hard to read at a glance) was very presently surprised to find out it was a full fledged sequel I didn't know about.
Super Ghouls'n Ghosts (GBA) - Now this one is a straight port. But one that is nice to have.
Felix the Cat (NES) - Probably a big score for me, as apparently its a pretty uncommon game that runs for like 15 - 30 bucks or so on E-bay loose. Curious how it slipped through the store's cracks, but great for me. Also I want to play it, I hear its a pretty good platformer in general.
Boogerman (GEN) - CIB. Just some game filler, thought it would be good to have a copy of this game around.

Each game was priced $6 each, but I got two half off due to a buy one, get one half off deal they had going.

I picked up a copy of NES Maniac Mansion last week.

Now, that's not really rare in and of it self, but if I'm remembering the game lore correctly, there are two versions of the game. The first 10,000 or so copies allowed certain characters (the musicians, either Sid or Razor) to steal Weird Ed's hamster and put it in the microwave and then turn on the microwave. As I understand it, after this was discovered, Nintendo forced them to remove it and all subsequent copies of the game lacked that ability. My own original copy that I bought new did not allow it.

But this one? I just popped it into the toaster to give it a try and after about 20 minutes of dodging Nurse Edna, feeding the tentacle, and generally being a pain in the ass, I got Weird Ed out of his room long enough to steal the hamster and, with Razor, popped it in the microwave and BLORCH! Hamster gut explosion!

So I've got one of the early copies. Don't know if that makes a difference in value but it certainly makes me very happy!

The story about Nintendo removing that from all copies of the game is a myth. Every single NTSC copy lets you microwave the hamster, it was only taken out in the PAL versions.

The NES version cut a lot of stuff, but it didn't cut the hamster explosion.

How odd. I remember distinctly reading it in Nintendo Power Counselor's Corner. Maybe my memory is off about the game not letting me, but the Nintendo Power thing was printed, at least.

**Edit** I see, had there been a FUTURE printing of the NTSC Version of the game, then that would have removed it. But there never was. Mystery solved. Ah well, anyway I have a copy of the game again which is important to me since I always loved it.

During xmas shopping, discovered a cash converters and decided to do a little shopping for myself.

Didn't want to spend much, but I got some good stuff

Road Rash II (Genesis) - $2 - No box, good condition, plays fine. I'll take a pic of this with those other games I posted about before a bit later, they're all downstairs with my genesis right now.

Gargoyle's Quest (Game Boy) - $3 - I jumped when I saw this game and jumped again when I saw the price. Happy to add this classic to my library.

I also saw Boxed (no manual) copies of all 3 genesis strike games there for $2 apiece and a SNES dinocity for $5, but besides that and the ones I got it was mostly commons and sports titles. I will say though that, at least at this location, Cash Converters is certainly a place to go gamehunting.

Spent my day hunting because I could and had cash to spend if I found the goods. Did pretty well.

Alien Storm (gen), Last Battle (gen), Teminator (gen), Alien 3 (gen), Sim Earth (snes), and Wolverine (snes) all for 2 bucks each from the pawn shop.

Splatterhouse 3 (gen), Tenchu (psx), and Tenchu 2 (psx) for 20 from my local game store.

My big toy purchase, Atari Jaguar, Jaguar CD, 2 controllers, av cable, both power supplies and not pictured Tempest 2000 and Cybermorph. More importantly everything works including the finicky annoying cd add-on! 100 for everything from the same game store I got the above from.

Damn, those are some great finds.

Also, any serious retro game store willing to sell a boxed splatterhouse 3 for less than $30 is a store worth revisiting. All of my local stores massively bloat their copies and they pretty much never sell.

EDIT: Addendum to my previous post:

I actually found a cartridge of the orginal outrun (not 2019) for the genesis there as well for 2 bucks. Didn't think much of it then but according to a few searches it's actually kind of rare. I'm kicking myself now for passing it up.

Not really a find imo but whatever new game purchase regardless... Got a gift card to walmart from work and used it to help pay for Forza Horizons for the Xbox 360.

I definitely found something but didn't buy it for reasons that will become obvious. I put it here since I didn't think it needed its own thread.

I was out at a WalMart yesterday wandering around and what do I happen to see sitting on a shelf in the toy department? ... That's right, a Mattel Hyperscan. The box was a little worse for wear, but not too bad. I decided, just for grins, to see what they were charging for this cutting edge piece of gaming goodness. I scanned it and it came up as $69.95. If I hadn't been busy Christmas shopping for others, I might have bought this. LOLLOLLOLLOL
