Actually the Neo Geo X has two MORE buttons than the Dingoo, on the shoulders.

But is looks like this wont run CPS games natively. It needs custom firmware for that. No big, I always planned on this just being a Neo-Geo thing. I can do CPS fine on my Dingoo.

If I saw a deluxe version for cheap Id get one and do what youre doing. Playing NEO GEO on a tv would be nice.

I have 2 of these and they look terrible on Tv. Its weird and very dark. It looks way worse than my aes with composite :(

Yeah, it's HDMI but it's auto-stretched to 16:9 and it's and not running at an optimal resolution.

Also it's obvious that they don't have vertical sync going as there's tearing in most fast-moving horizontal games.

TOMMO is set to release a new firmware for the device, and they're "leaking" videos of the new features via a YouTube that they obviously set up as a retro gamer guy's channel. A silly little stunt on their part, but whatever it's the same as them doing a dev blog and and posting there.

So far the only video they have out is of a "fast-forward" overclocking feature that, seems ... well, relatively useless.

Hopefully they rectify these video output issues in this firmware.

Well I really don't ever plan on using video out on it when I have an AES and a CD system. But it is useful for playing neogeo on the go.

Well, AES and Neo CD are awesome as far as authentic hardware goes, BUT if they get the HDMI resolution worked out on this thing and they fix the screen tearing, it might possibly wind up looking nicer than a composite AES on a HDTV.

Of course, that's the long shot. I don't know if the base Dingoo-type hardware is ultimately capable of outputting any kind of upscaled or cleaned up graphics feed.

We'll have to wait and see!

Well the processor is up to snuff from what I read. Its just a matter of these guys getting the software to take advantage of it.

While I'm certain it's a Dingoo at it's core, has it been confirmed that you can load the Dingoo OS/Dingux on all models of this?
