http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA/Playstation2POWERSTATIONMagazines2UKImports008_zps 9f5dbd3c.jpg

This a (part) combination of several of last weeks pick ups from one friend.
..another picker,His mom past away,God Rest Her Soul..
..another picker bought perfume that though I do sell it wasn’t worthwhile selling on ebay.
and another picker missed out on a FREE working Jurassic Park Pinball machine..(though think the guy was playing a April Fools Joke On People.

the way it works i\when I'm not out picking myself.
My friend goes to estate sales,Garage Sales,Newspaper Listings-sales,Cleanouts,Meets Clean out People,Flea Markets.
if he sees something he does not know a price for he calls me.
(UGH!!! He recently passed up a bunch of NEO GEO AES/Home System Games...(he didn’t call me,NOOOOO!!!!)

I give him a tad more $$ then what he paid to make his picking worthwhile,he also picks for the same stuff I to so I don’t see everything he gets..
I can’t actually set a price paid on every single item in the lot I got yesterday because we work out a final price on delivery.
Everything is always for sale however.

The Atari 2600 was $30.00 with around 43 games ..it needs the AV black wire that I’ve changed before but I need to locate(online)..RF I have..
This system I’m to test and sell right away..I may add another 30 games to it’s lot but I have to figure out a price...t’s already in a big box.

DREAMCASTs I need AVs..again something I need to locate online..

DELL Monitor was a loaner returned...

photo shop is a loaner

Give one of those Dreamcasts a fair chance if you don't already have one.
Megaman Zero 3 might be hard, but try it.

Forget the Hey You Pikachu mic. Won't miss that.

Edit:
Those Gundam games and Poison Pink are in now. http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/images/smilies/encouragement.png
Luckily the one includes a region 2 bonus DVD. It'll be good for compatibility testing.

Nabbed a loose SNES inspector gadget off of Amazon for $6.25. Seller claims it's from a non-smoker's house, tested working and in good condition.

I actually have an interesting story about this game.

My old daycare used to have a super nintendo. They had a bunch of games for it, and we played them a ton...then, one day, I dug a cartridge out of the back of the drawer.

It was inspector gadget.

The "veteran" kids told me they'd been trying to get it to work for years, but it was hopelessly broken. Using a method I called "Nintendo CPR" involving both inserting and removing the cartridge rapidly, as well as blowing on it, I spent a good ten minutes breathing life back into the thing. The others laughed at me and doubted it'd do anything.

Then the title screen came up. The other kids were dumbfounded and overjoyed to have a "new" game to play. Of course, I got a longer turn to play than everyone else since I got it working, but all the kids were fine with that since it *was* working.

I'm happy to add the game to my collection now. It's essentially bonk jumping with the gameplay of castlevania crossed with ghosts n goblins.

Thanks,I have a nice Black Dreamcast on my shelf,I have the original box"somewhere...I bought it back in the day new... I'm going to sell it too,I just have to much stuff and need to clear it out.
I ordered some AV wires onlime, just waiting for them to arrive.
If I could actually sell all the stuff I get I'd be golden..I just can't sell it as fast as I get it..(busy,work,3 kids,Racing).

Today i'm working on an ebay listing for a Pokemon N64 System..comes with Hey You Pikachu, the VRU and Mic...I was going to throw the second mic in as spare...however I just got another VRU that needs the mic so I guess it'll be of use..

Nice! I've always wanted a Sega Sports DC but they seem to run more than I feel like paying for yet another console so I keep hoping I'll find one locally.

Yeah, not too bad for locally. If the longbox is in nice shape I'd say it's a good deal.

Based on the manual (no foil embossing), it should be the first print of the game that was done by Sega before Working Designs started printing variants.

I found my Sega Sports DC at a goodwill, are they typically rarer than the white variant?

Kinda? They're definitely harder to find but they're not really rare. Generally you can tack on like 10-20 bucks to the value of the dreamcast if it's the black one.

Went out to do a little game hunting this afternoon. The plan was to hit a used book store looking for cheap stratagy guides, but that was a bust. Ended up at the Goodwill I don't get to very often. This Goodwill has a glass case full of pricer items near the front, and inside it two things catch my eye. Both are black bags with zippers. Really they could be anything, but one says 'High Frequency' and the other says 'Game Case' (or something). So I get the lady behind the counter to open up the case for me. Low and behold both are Sega Game Gear cases. Each containing A Game Gear system, a power adapter, a Power Back battery pack, and an assortment of games. One had 3 games, the other 6. The lady was nice enough to let me plug each of them in to check that they worked and/or if the displays were bad. One seemed to have kind of dim picture, but the other looked okay. Fortunately the okay looking one had the 6 games (but the shittier quality system case, its made of cheap plastic and its warped and cracked. The other one was much sturdier and in pristine shape). So I went with that one.

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/4117/goodwillgamegear.jpg

Sega Game Gear System - As I said, I feel the display quality is pretty good on this one. I'm not an expert however, I have never owned a Game Gear, and if I've ever actually played one before I've forgotten. Game Boy was my poison of choice as a kid.
Game Gear Power Back - It came attached, but I removed it for the photo, also to make sure there were't any batteries leaking inside the system itself (there weren't). Do you think this thing can still hold a charge? I noticed a switch on the bottom labeled 'Quick/Normal'. I assume that it charges faster in 'Quick' mode, but you can't play it?
Game Gear Power Adapter - Really nice to have.
Ms. Pac-Man (GG)
Ecco - The Tides of Time (GG)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (GG)
Sonic Chaos (GG) - I hear this is a good Sonic Game?
Virtua Fighter The Animation (GG) - Until I looked it up I actually thought this was some kind of attempt to release a movie or something on the Game Gear. But it turns out it is a game.
Super Columns (GG)

So yeah. I ended up paying $40 all together. And after a little eBay research I realize I may have over paid a little bit (why oh why couldn't Blue Tags have been half off today?) since apparently you can get Game Gear systems for like 15 bucks, and all these games are common as all get out. Still though, I think its a good start to a new console to collect for.

Gamity Gearity Stuff

A few tips from a seasoned GG collector:

1. Watch that powerback like a HAWK. Test it out where you know you'll be safe and see how much life you get out of a full charge. If you only get like 20 mins to a half hour, toss it. I didn't and mine EXPLODED on me. They're VERY fickle.

2. In time, ALL original GG screens go. If you're getting into GG collecting, eventually you should try to either find a Majesco Game Gear, Replace capacitors, or LCD-Mod your system.

3. Collecting for Game Gear is reasonably cheap, but SUPER challenging to get some games, especially if you go for CiB. There's a good handful of titles that, while only worth about $15-30, you'll be lucky to see online complete once a YEAR. Needless to say, you see a cheap CiB gamegear game NOT on the majesco rerelease list, you nab it. Cart-only can still be challenging, but unless you're looking for Megaman, Battletoads, Tails Adventure, or Shining Force: Sword of Hayja, you'll certainly find it in time without paying much at all.

4. Use that AC Adapter whenever you play. The rumors about its pathetic battery life are true. That is, unless you replace the screen with an LCD mod. Then it gets about 7-8hrs out of 6 AAs.

Well it appears it won't hold a charge at all. So just toss it before it starts leaking or something?

I'd toss it. There's a few people on here who buy those and fix them up but shipping them in such a state is more danger than I'd want to risk for something that cheap and common.

My friend on another site finds me games from time to time and these 2 he came across at a thrift shop for 5 ea. with a modest and accepted mark up I picked these 2 titles. Both have even tested to work perfect. A good find for my friend and turned into a nice score for me.

Springer is in near mint. Minor nick in the top label.

Dreamcast with two controllers $20
The Gunstringer(Kinect) $5
PS2 Promo dvd $11
Final Fantasy XI Promo dvd $4
Microsoft Developer Network disc sealed x2 $3 each
Alan Wake keychain promo $6
GBA SP charger $2
Daytona demo(DC) $29
Square Enix 360 Trailer Collection $3
Super Robot Wars Promo dvd $5

I got most of this stuff online but The Gunstringer was a Target clearance game at Goodwill and I found the SP charger today at the flea market. I also picked up the Dreamcast at the flea market so I could test the Daytona demo but it came with an rf adapter so I need an av cable. This time I'm just going to keep it since I always go buying new Dreamcast to test certain disc out and then end up selling them. Everything else was picked up in various promo lots, the highlight for me being the Alan Wake keychain light.

Got out to the Flea Market this morning. Think I had a good time of it.

http://imageshack.us/a/img200/2452/fleamarket20132a.jpg

Donkey Kong Country (GBC) $2 - My first Gameboy Color game, currently have nothing to test it out on.
Donkey Kong Land (GB) $2 - Already have a copy. But for 2 bucks I could use a spare.
Dual Shock 2 controller (PS2) $1 - Needed a second. Couldn't beat the price. Actually got this, and the two Donkey Kong games in a bundle for $5 (down from $6)

Super Gameboy (SNES) $3 - Been looking for one of these at the right price. Finally can start to replay some of my old Gameboy games.
Phalanx (SNES) $3 - What can I say, 'old man with a banjo' marketing works.
Tiny Toon Adventures - Buster Busts Loose (SNES) $3 - Remember seeing this in Nintendo Power ages ago, thought it looked cool.
B.O.B. (SNES) $3 - Momentarily thought I'd found a copy of E.V.O. Bought it any way, though I have no idea what this game is.
Streets of Rage (Gen) $3 - This, and the 4 SNES games came from a single seller who I managed to stumble across just as he was setting up. The guy was loading his table with stacks of SNES, NES, N64, and Gen games, and almost none of them were sports titles! They were all priced at $3 each. I really should have gotten more, but I showed restraint after the seller wouldn't make a deal with a whole bunch of games. At any rate, been looking for Streets of Rage.

Spyro - Year of the Dragon (PS1) $1 - I hear Spyro games are pretty good, yes?
Gekion - Shooting King (PS1) $1 - In the same pile as Spyro, almost passed it over but I noticed it was a top down shooter by Natsume at the last second and took a chance.

Also, ended up with a pile of book today on top of the games...

http://imageshack.us/a/img703/9739/fleamarket20132b.jpg

Gears of War Limited Edition Guide $1 - Art book + Strategy Guide apparently.
Bionic Commando Strategy Guide $1
Devil May Cry Official Strategy Guide $.25 - Found in a pile of Game Informers.
Dino Crisis Official Strategy Guide $.25 - Might actually get some use out of this.
Assorted '70s Science Fiction Anthology Magazines $2 - Absolutely don't know why I bought these, except that they were $2 for the whole bunch. Though I am currious about the Science Fact articles in Analog. And that 1977 Star Wars review.

So yeah, went in with $40, left with $15. Not bad. I saw a Sega Genesis Model 2 + Sega CD Model 2 combo + 4 crappy games for $55. I sort of wish I could have snagged it? But I don't really need it.
I'll probably be skipping next week though, as the Game Gear I got has really eaten into my thrifting budget. And in two weeks I'm going to New York State for a family wedding and I want to take a shot at getting to this big Flea Market in the Syracuse area. So I'm going to need a few extra bucks to make the most of that.

Found a few games at Toys R Us:

http://i.imgur.com/wBmM74Y.jpg

Chibi Robo Park Patrol DS: $13 (New) (I noticed that there's a huge sticker on top of the flower in the top-left corner of the game and soon found out why - the game is a walmart exclusive. I'm guessing Best Buy slapped the sticker over it to cover that up before sealing it.)
Lumines Plus PS2: $6 (New) after 40% discount from buying Chibi Robo

Looking at resale values, it seems I paid about what both are worth (maybe overpaid a little for chibi robo?) I think I'll probably keep chibi sealed since it was a walmart-exclusive release and will probably be a little harder to come by sealed in the future, but I just bought lumines because I loved the PSP version, so I'll probably open it and enjoy.

Was talking about retrogames at work. The day after my colleague brought this to work.

http://i45.tinypic.com/2qdoh6q.jpg

It's the PAL version with Dutch/French Manual (I'm from Belgium); game itself is in mint condition not one tiny scratch or spickle. Box is a bit damaged.
I've only just started collecting retro stuff so I don't know a lot yet, but I did some research and this thing seems to be worth something.
Sadly the guy doesn't want to sell it (yet), but I can lend it and play it all I want :). I guess I'll have to keep wining to him untill he gives it to me or sells it.

The things people throw out...

Was taking my trash out this morning and found a Wii console on top of the apartment dumpster, with the A/V cable and power cord still attached. Took it back and turns out the disc drive is shot. I opened it up and managed to get the disc out (copy of Mario Galaxy, works fine in my own console), at it powers on and operates just fine, but the drive is dead. I may end up installing the Homebrew Channel on it (never dared to do that on my own Wii, is it rather simple?) or at the very least, use it as a Netflix box.

Seriously that is cool and the first NES championship cart I've seen in a long time if ever. Cool item in deed

Tried to snag a loose genesis sparkster on ebay, but some idiot wanted it so badly that he overbid the game's loose value and won it for the price of a CiB copy.

Ended up getting this copy of chiki chiki boys instead:

http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Chiki-Chiki-Boys-Sega-Genesis-1992-/00/s/MTAwMFg3NDY=/z/zAsAAOxy9eVRWmEE/$T2eC16R,!)sE9swmZpYYBRWmEEUBI!~~60_35.JPG

Cost me $7.11 in the end, which is pretty good considering a loose one seems to be worth about $10-12, and looks to be in pretty good condition. I'm always happy to add a capcom game to my collection.

Got out a few times in the last week:

Half Price Books:

http://imageshack.us/a/img40/2305/halfpricegames.jpg

Xbox sports games - $1 each - all Mint and look unused!
NHL 2K7 (xbox 360) - $3
Mike Tyson's Punch Out! (NES) - $8.49 mint loose
Battle of Olympus (NES) - $4.24 - has box, insert, and styro, but no manual :(

Thrift stores:

http://imageshack.us/a/img688/426/thriftgames.jpg

Pink Gameboy Advance - $12.12 - really nice shape with correct battery cover, very few blemishes
Professor Layton & Miracle Mask (3DS) - $9.98 brand new SEALED
Bomberman Hero (N64) - $3.43 loose
Bart Simpson Camp Deadly (GB) - $2.42 loose
Mickey Mouse Ultimate Challenge (GameGear) - $3.43 loose

Play N Trade:

Went in to look around and saw a used Pokemon DSi in their case for $139. It was in pretty decent shape so I asked to see it when the guy behind the counter said "We still have one of these bundles in the box". He showed it to me and I almost passed since it was marked at $179. My son bought a few games and as we were leaving I asked what the best price is on the boxed DSi bundle and he said he could take $20 off.

So, final price is $159. Not great, but not bad based on ebay prices.

I bought a sealed PS1 Soviet Strike (Greatest Hits) for a buck. The seal's a bit torn off so it's not worth much, and I'm keeping it. Other things of note:

XCM XFPS 3.0 Sniper attachment thingy for Xbox 360 (use PS2 pads, mouse, keyboard, and USB peripherals on a 360) - $3 (It's kinda stinky but I'll clean it before selling it)
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (unregistered, yay!)
Five different WWF VHS tapes (a buck each, bleh. I thought they'd be worth something. NOPE.)

I also got a Puppet Master toy - Blade - for a decent price. It's the big version from 2000, this one, but it's the blood-less variant:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/612MEoAUrSL.jpg

I'm gonna have to sell it. It's gonna be a pain due to the stupid size... but I'll manage.

My first Craigslist lot in quite a while - not so much retro, and not a steal price-wise but it was fair and I'm happy with it:

http://imageshack.us/a/img849/2382/purple3dslot.jpg

Nintendo 3DS (purple) - used but complete with AC, charging base, box, all paperwork, AR cards, etc.

Games:
Epic Mickey Power of Illusion (3DS) - complete
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (3DS) - complete
Harvest Moon 3D: Tale of Two Towns (3DS) - complete
Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! (3DS) - complete
Kingdom Hearts: re: Coded (DS) - complete
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) - complete

Accessories:
Nyko Charge Base - unused in box
Club Nintendo 18 game case - has all 4 interchangeable sleeves
DS Storage case - was told it is from Club Nintendo but nothing says so

Was listed for $250 but she took $200 cash for the lot.

Not in that lot but pictured is:

Cubic Ninja (3DS) - $5.24 on clearance at Micro Center - new and sealed

Well i had a guy from Craiglist a year ago that i bought a bunch of old school gaming stuff from CIB titlematch wrestling for 7800 and other things. Well i ran into him again and talked a little bit and he said he had some jaguar stuff he just doesn't play anymore and asked if i would buy it. I told him yeah, it wasn't super cheap but i got this all for around $200. I think i did well :)

Got a complete copy of Radical Rex for $5.45 off of amazon. Apparently it comes with a "Poster", so wondering if it's actually for RadRex or something else. Listed as "Very Good" condition, so, at the very least, it should come as a nice-looking game to add to my collection of sonic knockoffs. Listed as the genesis version, but one can dream it's actually the SEGA CD port, eh? ;)

Star Wars: Republic Commando(Xbox) $4
Star Wars: Battlefront II(Xbox) $4
Alan Wake(360) UK Promo copy $7
Adele cd $3
TNA Belt $5

Alan Wake was brought online to further my collection. The rest of the stuff was from Goodwill. The Adele cd was in a cart waiting to be put out on the floor but I snagged it before anyone else could. I almost passed on the belt because I have so many already and they are usually a bit cheaper. But I don't have any TNA belts and the red strap makes this one look even cooler than the ones with the normal black straps.

Mechassault(Xbox) sealed $2
Wen cd $2
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion dvd $4
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth dvd$ 4

Mechassault was my first gaming find at the new Savers here. My last two trips I've only found magazines there. They actually bag each individual game and put seperate price tags on them so some are $1.99 and others are $3.99. They had Playstation, Psp and PC games(among others) but this was the only sealed one I saw.

I grabbed the two NGE dvds based on what I remembered from someone else's find a good year or two ago. I even passed on the other 8 dvds of the series. As for these two dvds, are they really that rare? The prices I looked up seem pretty out there, especially when people include the original slip case(that was no where to be found). I might sell these eventually but I'm definitely going to watch them first since the only NGE I've seen was the middle of a movie in progress at Otakon many years ago.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2841_zps1bcd26e0.jpg (http://s494.photobucket.com/user/THE-1-2-P/media/GEDC2841_zps1bcd26e0.jpg.html)

This was my third time ordering from this import store in a little less than two months. I guess I'm kind of obsessed with them now but I can't really blame myself with these low prices. All of the following was around $50(before shipping)...

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2844_zpsd8ac5a61.jpg (http://s494.photobucket.com/user/THE-1-2-P/media/GEDC2844_zpsd8ac5a61.jpg.html)

Four Japanese 360 magazines, a Dead or Alive sealed desk calender from 2004 and a Tecmo art/ad book covering all their DOA and Ninja Gaiden games at the time. I specifically got two of those magazines because one covers the history of the original Xbox and one covers the history of the 360 up until 2011. I haven't read either yet but I'm sure they are going to say something along the lines of "while writting this article I was unaware that an Xbox platform still existed in Japan and I'm sure my sentiments are shared by the rest of the country" .

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2846_zpsb4ee126c.jpg (http://s494.photobucket.com/user/THE-1-2-P/media/GEDC2846_zpsb4ee126c.jpg.html)

Here we have PS3 demos, Xbox demos, 360 demos, a Devil May Cry dvd and some weird Tecmo Dead Or Alive PC game/art thingie. I might have to put that one in my laptop just to see what it's all about. The majority of everything else is doubles to go with my sealed copies.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC2847_zpsb0f47f5b.jpg (http://s494.photobucket.com/user/THE-1-2-P/media/GEDC2847_zpsb0f47f5b.jpg.html)

And heres a bunch of other demos, including a rare PS1 Silent Hill demo. Theres also a Square Enix 360 music cd. I'm surprised by all the love Square Enix gave the 360 over in Japane this gen, especially when nobody in that country really cares about the system. Theres also what looks like a Japanese version of the Xbox white sleeve kiosk disc, an Atlus demo with multiple games and two Ninja Gaiden dvds(one for NG2 and one for NG Sigma 2) that are probably filled with gameplay and trailers. This box of goodies is going to keep me busy for a long time.

Leisure Suit Larry 5(PC) $4
Leisure Suit Larry 6(PC) $4

I picked up all of these at Goodwill today while they were in carts waiting to be put out on the floor. First, these games have some really long ass subtitles. Second, they are old. Like floppy disc old. I know consoles got two versions of this series but I never checked out either. The box art was enough to inform me that they both probably sucked really badly. Now I just have to figure out what to do with these three.

Leisure Suit Larry is one of the more memorable classic Sierra point and click adventure game series (up there with Kings Quest, Space Quest, and the like). Those are some sweet finds. But if you don't want them...

Where on earth can you find famicom disk games and repro carts in the wild? That's one hell of a flea market or garage sale.

PAL PS2 game, odd... I can run them but I'm not really interested in games who play slower at 50hz.

Listed as the genesis version, but one can dream it's actually the SEGA CD port, eh? ;)

Nice find. Radical Rex for the Genesis did come with a specific Radical Rex themed poster from Activision, so you probably have a real "complete" copy compared to most people. And RR for the Sega CD is not much better than the Genesis version, it's just enhanced audio tracks. If you want to sell that poster and basically get your game for shipping costs let me know ;)

Ah, good to know. As for the CD one, it's not really that it's a much better game, but more the fact that it's batshit insane rare and sought after by Sega CD collectors. Truth be told, a copy of the genesis one would be more useful to me as my Model 1 SCD still has the ejecting tray of doom.

Well to be honest, those were online purchases but the rest are flea markets including the PAL Persona 3 which was a very odd find. I love the Persona series so it was just meant to be!

The local flea market does have a dedicated video game dealer who has repro carts and famicom disk games and damned near anything else. Granted he has them priced at batshit crazy levels but he has them lol.

You give them to me, that's what you do.

Leisure Suit Larry is one of the more memorable classic Sierra point and click adventure game series (up there with Kings Quest, Space Quest, and the like). Those are some sweet finds. But if you don't want them...

I'm not a point and click gamer, nor a PC gamer for that matter. The closest I've ever gotten to actually liking a point and click game is Telltales The Walking Dead game. Essentially the majority of what you are doing is pointing and clicking with a controller in that game but it also has a fantastic story, just like the comic and tv show.

Oooh. Neat.

These are very good trade fodder. Also, THEY DON'T SUCK WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU.

...

Wait a second. Why does Leisure Suit Larry 6 have a friggin' VRC Rating?!

Nobody on DP ever has stuff I want to trade for. You'd think a few Japanese imports and non-magazine Xbox and Dreamcast demos wouldn't be so hard to come by*shrugs* Also, are you referring to the PC games or the console versions that don't suck? I've yet to hear a single person who played the console versions tell me that they actually liked those two games. But I guess it shouldn't surprise me that you'd like them as they are probably right up your alley:wink 2:

The console Larry games were made a decade or so after the original PC adventure game series (of which, as far as I'm aware were never ported to a game console). And none of the original creators were involved. I don't even think they are adventure games? So yes those abominations are terrible. Don't judge a classic series by its half assed modern revival.

I don't have anything for trade, but I'd be willing to make you an offer for them.

I wouldn't consider them to really be that rare, but they're out of print and as this series is one of the more popular anime series they tend to hold their value. Plus the creators are like George Lucas, they recently remade the TV series as feature films and don't want anyone to focus on the original series or movies anymore, it's very unlikely that the originals will be reprinted again. It's mostly demand that keeps the pricing high.

If you're going to watch the films, start with Death and Rebirth and then End of Evangelion as that's the correct order for them. Just wanted to mention it in case you weren't too familiar with the series.

Leisure Suit Larry games aren't bad, but they aren't for everyone. If you like sex and penis type jokes then you'll probably like the original series of games, personally I'm not big on that type of humour. The later games are just terrible so nobody likes them.

Against my better judgement I decided to wander down to a flea market this morning. Decided to go to the indoors one that's a bit closer. Its not as... random as the outdoors one. There are two resellers there with good stock. But prices are all over the place. But if you're diligent, you can still find deals.

http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9430/fleamarket20133.jpg

Medievil (PS1) $5 - Would you believe that I found this about both resellers? The first one had it priced at 40 freaking dollars. No idea where that came from. The guy I did buy it from sells PS1 games for $10 usually, but I got it down to $5 by bundling it with...
Dunk Hunt (NES) $5 - Okay, I picked this up off a pile on a whim because I was curious if it was a 5-screw version. It was. But what I found more interesting was its heft. Its noticeably heavier then the other NES games around it. My assumption is its got a Famicom converter inside, as some of the early black box NES games do. I gotta get a small screw driver and check. Are these things actually worth anything? Or more of a curiosity?

XEXYZ (NES) $5 - Heard about this game from Mike Matei's 'Top 10 Obscure NES Gems (http://cinemassacre.com/2012/05/27/top-10-obscure-nes-games/)' video a while back, and have been keeping my eye out for it.
The Guardian Legend (NES) $10 - Another game from the same video, it seems really interesting.

M.C. Kids (NES) $4 - Found this earlier in the week at a used game store. This game's really weird in that, on the surface it looks kinda cheap and shitty. But its level design are oddly inspired. Its like a cross between Mario 2 and 3.

Remember, it's not the weight or label of an early five screw game, but the connector tooling...

Interesting. Though it looks like I'm still good on that score.

I did a quick test with other 5-screw, non-converter, games I own. Non Converter 5-Screws are noticeably heavier then other, regualar, NES games. But the converter 5-Screw is noticeably heavier then the non converter 5-screw carts.

Still, good to know there's another way to check, thanks.

Follow up. Does anyone know what kind of screw driver you need to open up 5-Screw NES carts? I checked, and the screws are different then the 2-Screw carts. Will any small flat head screw driver do? Or is there a special tool?

got a good find today at the Swap Meet over at the Central Florida Fairgrounds.

What i got: Manhunt for PS2 for 5 bucks, Grand Theft Auto - Directors Cut (including GTA: London 1969) for PS1 for 5 bucks, Mortal Kombat 3 for the Sega Genesis for 3 bucks, an Xbox console (complete with the AV cables, AC adapter, the "Hamburger" controller, an 8mb Memory pack and it even included ESPN NFL 2K5 which was inside the console), Mission Paintball for 3 bucks, and for the Xbox, MGS2 Substance, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Soul Calibur II (featuring Spawn), and Sonic Mega Collection Plus. and i got one of those casino games which looks like a slot machine, but it also features blackjack and poker) for 2 bucks.

Here's the video for it:
